My boyfriend and I love coming here for all of our gardening needs. They are having an open house the first Saturday of December and they were offering discounts on their Christmas trees so that's when we went to get ours and we got about five dollars off. They also have a great sale on tulip bulbs at $1 each. We met the owner and multiple staff members and they were so nice and gracious. There is hot chocolate and hot cider to drink as you peruse the trees. The parking lot is a bit small it's about 20 cars but we went early on a Friday morning we had no issues. They also have a really awesome tent full of poinsettias and Christmas cactuses. there's also a nice wood-burning fire going on so you can smell the smells of the season. read more

Someone I know recommended them for my landscaping so I asked them to send someone to get a quote. The guy rescheduled last minute but did eventually come out. The problem is he completely ghosted me afterwards. Weeks and weeks of texts and calls went unanswered even though he continued to do work for others I know. I never did get that quote no matter how hard I tried. Not sure what went wrong but I regret all the time I wasted trying to hire them and the things I missed out on when they rescheduled the initial meeting. I had to cancel plans to accomodate it and it was all for nothing. UPDATE: I ended up calling the nursery to try and have them get the guy to contact me about getting that quote. They said they would have him call the following day, but he didn't. I kept trying to contact him and a few days later got him to pick up the phone. He said he STILL hadn't done it yet but would contact me the following day. That last phone call was two weeks ago. 6 weeks into this mess and I am still no closer to even getting a quote, much less actually doing the landscaping project. The people who recommended Campbell's Nursery to me are embarassed and apologetic. read more

They are a great nursery. I love their sales they have throughout the yr. I recently picked up flats of perennials for $10/ flat.

On a hunt for the right plants to populate an area of my yard left a dusty, sometimes muddy, mess from having a small tree removed, I stopped by Campbell Road Nursery. I was completely won over by the staff in this small, family-run business. Although I like to browse through nurseries, I also appreciate being able to find help when I need it. The sharp-eyed employee found me first; obviously watching me meander down the aisles of plants looking bewildered, and offered to help in a much-appreciated low-pressure way. After explaining what I was looking for, she took me to some plants I had overlooked that were ideal for what I needed. In fact, she took quite a bit of time showing me several other bushes all the while explaining what I could expect for growth, feeding, and care for each. Then she left me alone to decide, and wander a bit more. What struck me nearly as much as the helpful staff, was the healthy-looking plants and bushes. It can be a hit-or-miss proposition at some places when it comes to paying for a healthy plant. Although a tad more expensive than other local nurseries, Campbell's price difference for the quality you get, is worth it. On the day I was there, they were having an unadvertised sale; an added bonus. There's also a small vegetable market at Campbell, stocked from a local farm, an oddly appropriate side business in the middle of the main nursery. Oh, and my plants look great. Campbell's is my go-to place for all of my nursery needs; they have a very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and don't mind questions from people who don't know much about gardening! Their prices are reasonable; sometimes the Farmer's Market is a bit less, but they certainly are more reasonably priced than a lot of nurseries in the Triangle area. There is also a summer vegetable stand that you can visit to buy fresh food you don't grown on your own. read more

OK, so can someone explain why the hell I've never been here before? And I live 5 minutes from this place? Apparently, I pass this road all the time and I've never paid attention because when it comes to driving, you know.. Asian woman driver, ha! Spring has sprung and we've started seeing many neighbors with flowers and plants, so we decided to get something for our empty patio, too. We actually stopped by Walmart and Lowe's few times but we just did not see anything impressive. My hubby actually found this place on his way home the other day and we decided to check this place out this afternoon. Well I gotta say, he did such a great job finding this place! Campbell Road Nursery has TONS of flowers and plants; roses, tomatoes, lilles, and please forgive me because even though I buy flowers every spring and summer, I am still kinda "flower dummy" and I don't know what they are, how often I need to water them, etc. I always go with pretty ones with easy care. Anyway, they have so many different flowers and plants, it's really ridiculous. I was very impressed about their variety but the thing that surprised me more was their price. Their price is soooo much cheaper than any other places and guess what? their quality is wayyyyyy better than other stores, too! I mean really, SO much better! We got 2 different kinds of flowers today and our total was less than $15. I was so glad that we found this hidden gem- It's easy to pass by(or like I said, maybe it was just me lol) but stop by Campbell's nursery if you are looking for flowers and plants for this summer. All of their workers are super friendly and they know what they are doing there! Quality, healthy, interesting plants; friendly, helpful, knowledgable service; and affordable prices! I'll never go anywhere else! I'm an avid gardener and this is the best nursery I have been to in 50 years. I had a lot to buy and I was there for 4 hours during the early morning and throughout the day as it got busier and busier. There was even a garden club sale going on and they were prepping for an azalea sale the next day. Certain people had high levels of expertise in plants and in design. If someone didn't know something, they knew who to ask. I am actually a difficult customer who asked a lot of questions and I never felt like I was annoying anyone. Every one was friendly and helpful, including (in the order of my meeting them): 1. The nice guy who saw me waiting outside the gate and went out of his way to ask if I needed help, and then ran to ask if he could let me in so I could wait inside until they opened, and then ended up being the guy to load my car with my gorgeous plants. You started my positive experience and ended it. Thanks, man! 2. The owner, Phil, who was willing to help with a community project without knowing me. She knows her plants, knows where to,source what she didn't have, and is the engine who powers this well-oiled machine. It it obvious that the way she cares about her workers is the way her workers care about the plants and her customers. Whatever she is doing, it it amazing, and she shouldn't stop! 3. The patient older lady who tried for a while to help me with my plant selection for pots (we just had different visions). She offered me bottled water when she saw I had been there for a while. They do that for their customers, evidently. Wow! 4. The guy with excellent taste who helped me assemble some amazing planters, was patient with my OCD pickiness, and kept checking back with me to see if I needed more assistance. He brainstormed with me and helped with some difficult areas in my garden. 5. The tomato man who went out of his way to show me everything about tomatoes, how to care for them, how to grow them in straw-bales. 6. Two other nice women who showed me around the greenhouses. 7. The gal who checked me out and rang up my order and gave me more water. :) 8. The additional people who assisted my loader in loading. They all worked together and looked for a job to do. People seemed proud and happy to work here. I love my own job and I actually found myself wondering if I could come and volunteer or work part time. :) Go to this nursery! You will be delighted! During these tough times for retail businesses, it warmed my heart to go out to Campbell Road Nursery this past Saturday. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, the staff at the nursery was doing an outstanding job of checking people out and handling traffic control and parking. I was able to find the plants I needed and get out of there in record time. That was only because of the well organized operation they have going on. As usual, the plants are healthy and gorgeous! Just checked out their selection of Christmas trees, plants, and decorations. As with their summer stock, the selection and quality were outstanding. We picked up a lovely handmade wreath for $10...seriously. $10! Later, we moved onto another nursery, and a wreath of a similar diameter, but not nearly as full, was $20. The trees were all full, symmetrical, and again, at the right price. Poinsettias, cyclamen, Christmas cactus, & amaryllis were all stuffed into one of the greenhouses looking like a Christmas wonderland. They even put down some red rugs to make the place look super cozy. And who doesn't love visiting the local garden center, and finding complimentary treats to enjoy while you're shopping? fresh homemade cookies, coffee, tea, hot cider, and candy canes. I just moved in this area and had to visit this store for my future garden. I have to say I was simply amazed. They have a great selection of plants and the prices are unbeatable. I bought a beautiful large hanging basket full with flowers for only $12. I also found some newer varieties and unusual plants and they have a large selection for herbs, some are hard to find. Also the staff is so wonderful and helpful. They even offered me some to drink because it was so hot. I'm so glad I found this store, I will need many more plants and this is the place to go for affordable plants. read more

Lots of native plants and friendly employees. Always fun to "talk plants!" This fall I bought tons of native perennials (goldenrod, aromatic aster, milkweed, ironweed, cut leaf coneflower, and more). Also got two beautiful beauty berries and two very good-sized paw paw trees. read more

Campbell's Nursery is a stellar spot to fulfill your gardening needs (outside of equipment). They offer a great selection of plants ready to be transplanted. I buy my vegetable seeds here, and they are extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgable. In fact they'll talk your ear off if you let them! They seem to have a lot of flowers, too, but I didn't look at those much. I strongly suggest Campbell's if you are buying potting mix as well. The stuff at Home Depot/Lowe's is crap compared to what you buy here. For example at Campbell's the mix contains vermiculite, which I couldn't find in a single bag at Home Depot. The soil is the same one they use for their own plants too and a bag (one filled a ~18 gal container) only costs 4$. read more

The best place to get a Christmas tree! They have beautiful trees and if you bring your stand with you they cut it perfectly to fit and set it in there for you before getting it on our car. They even deliver your tree for free if you live within 5 miles! They have a beautiful poinsettia nursery, and inside where you pay there is the best hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and Christmas cookies The owners and employees are so friendly!
