My husband and I just got married here on 9/28/24 and it was an absolute dream!!! We were able to put some chair covers on the chairs, and my brother in law played acoustic guitar for me to walk down the aisle. We were also able to choose our own officiant! Its beautiful; nature surrounds you in this picturesque chapel with stained glass windows, stone mosaics, and sky lights in the center of the garden filled with lush, greenery. And the fact its in the backyard of a cool bookstore- bonus! Sherri is the minister and is perfect. She gave us all her attention, personalized our ceremony to really give us a special ceremony. She is a treasure! And her assistants are these amazing, friendly women who helped me with everything from recommendations for our reception afterward to helping me with my finishing touches before I walked down the aisle. There's so much to say about this diamond in the rough! We absolutely loved our wedding ceremony here at The Garden Wedding Chapel! The venue is small and beautiful. The garden area is filled with plants, succulents and gorgeous flowers. The chapel is quaint, elegant and full of character. The chapel area holds around 50 guests and they set up and tore down folding chairs for our guests. There is a stained glass piece in the front and clear glass windows along one side. The lighting in the chapel is soft and romantic; perfect for great photography. The hosts from the book store (garden chapel is in the back through the book store) were very nice and communicated well with us throughout the planning. We brought our own officiant with us but the book store also offered an officiant if needed. We had an amazing wedding in this magical little venue! My husband and I got married here last fall. It was a beautiful ceremony and Sherri did a great job with everything. The price is right, and Sherri is very dedicated to making your event perfect. My photographer loved photographing the outside area. The only thing is, you can't have any sort of food or drink, even outside. But that wasn't a problem for us. My brother got married here a few years back and it was just absolutely beautiful! The chapel is truly a gem with its stained glass windows and decor. The garden and little pond are charming and made a great backdrop for all the wedding party pictures. He had about 30 guests and we weren't too crowded in the chapel. It looks like it might hold around 50, but you might ask the owner. We had zero problems with the owner. Yes, she runs a tight ship and has expectations on how guests should behave, but I think her request that we not smoke and be on time are reasonable. read more

I had the pleasure of getting married there on 10/26/13. The venue is absolutely gorgeous!!! I planned a destination wedding from about 2.5 hrs away and was pleased at how willing to work with me Sherry was. She is a tough nut to crack but she wants your wedding to be perfect. We sat down and had a one on one to go over what we did and did not want said in our ceremony and she was very accommodating. We were allowed to bring in our own seat covers, candalabras, flowers and candles. She gave a truly heartfelt and beautiful ceremony for us and I couldnt have asked for anything more. My wedding guests were a rowdy bunch and Sherry made sure everyone minded their p's & q's during the ceremony. ?.lol which was much appreciated. We had upwards of 50 people there so space was tight but still beautiful. We paid our 500.00 dep in payments over the phone with no problem. I was completely satisfied with my wedding ceremony and would reccomend their venue to anyone planning a wedding at the coast. read more

I actually managed to catch a Broceliande concert here and I have to say that it was amazing to hear music in this chapel. The garden is beautifully kept up and the variety of flowers contained in such a small space is stunning. read more

Although small, this is a beautiful garden and chapel. The grounds are quaint and good backdrop for pictures. Unfortunately, the owner/staff was very unfriendly, difficult to work with and insensitive. I've been a wedding vendor for over 7 years and I've never encountered someone so unprofessional in the business. The coordinator was abrasive at best and extremely rude for no reason what so ever. We later overheard her speaking poorly of the wedding party to another bookstore customer. Up until this point there had been zero negative interaction and we are shocked that she would be upset or frustrated with our presence there for no reason at all. Especially since the client is paying for the use of the venue! This left an extremely bad taste in my mouth, and I would not recommend using this facility and vendor for such an important life event. read more
