I purchased a vehicle the first part of August. Last Monday the vehicle would not start after my…read moresecond stop of the day. After multiple calls only to be sent to voicemails or no one answered, Savannah called me. I was a mile from their location. She came to me immediately bringing a mechanic with her. They immediately identified my issue and told me to follow them back to the shop where the issue was resolved. Savannah saved the day. I am a senior and I was feeling so discouraged. Thank you Savannah for coming to my rescue. This review is for her actions.

Just a quick buyer beware of Matthew's Motors Goldsboro. This morning February 25,2022 while…read morevisiting the lot I was greeted and was looking at a 2020 Honda Civic while in office giving them my information a very upset customer came in and from what I could hear from the customer having the phone on speaker should have been a red flag itself she was saying they had caused her bank account to become $-600.00. So I proceeded to test drive the vehicle and upon test driving I went and had the car looked over elsewhere where it was found the car had some damage and also upon driving back to the lot all four of the windows were hesitating to roll down almost like they were about to go off track and not work. From seeing these issues I took the vehicle back to the dealership and explained to them I was no longer interested in the car. Upon getting in my vehicle Manager Rob had stopped me and my girlfriend from leaving explaining he did not want to lose our business and if he could just try to help us sure cool so I showed Rob the issue with the windows he than showed me it was a adhesive where the tint was removed causing the issue with the windows. Than I showed him my concerns of the damages to the rear bumper and where the vehicle had been repainted he kinda just shrugged the issues off. I than walked the lot just looking at inventory as Rob went inside to see " what numbers he could come up with" for the value of my 2021 Toyota Corolla trade in. I began looking at a Maroon Dodge Charger upon looking it over I checked the dipstick to the oil there was no oil on the dipstick I expressed the concern to Rob in which he stated the vehicle had to have oil on it to pass the inspection to be able to be in lot and sold on lot i than showed Rob there was no oil on the dipstick again another issue just kinda shrugged off. I than was told they were willing to pay off my trade in and get me in a Accord not sure which vehicle that was cause I had test drove the junk of a Civic they had on lot. I than asked for a quote showing the amount for my trade in and showing on paper printed out that they were paying it off and showing the numbers. He said okay no problem proceeds to go inside while I continue to walk the lot looking at vehicles than comes back out in which I ask again for a print out showing the numbers. He than says he's not doing that and will hand write that info down because I'm not taking the numbers he's giving me and shopping elsewhere. Overall very unprofessional and very rude of Rob I really before today had heard nothing but good of Matthew's Motors Goldsboro but after today I know my business will no longer be going to them ever. This morning was a complete waste of time and shows why I only deal with certain Toyota and Honda dealerships around Goldsboro NC. Also if I could I would give this no stars because it doesn't even deserve 1 star. update I called this morning and spoke with rob, after finding out they keep running my credit and I'm not even at the dealership! way to affect my credit!

The service rep was not very friendly (Frank). He really needs to work on his customer service…read moreskills. I spent over 1700 dollars in repairs. What I initially brought the vehicle in for was not actually looked at. He called me and gave limited explanations on why the repairs were needed and what caused the problem. Once my car was finished it wasn't washed or cleaned. The previous time I had my oil changed at that location and not sure they did the oil change because my oil mileage indicator was not reset. Called them to ask and they were very short and said "just bring it back" in a bit of a condescending tone. Will not return. W

I rate Deacon Jones Ford of Goldsboro ZERO stars! One bad experience after the other. I have had…read morenothing but trouble with the car they sold me. The service department yelled at me once that they didn't sell me the car that I purchased from that DJ. It needed a new engine because of an engine defect, and they threatened not to repair my car even though it was under warranty. I had to call Deacon Jones Smithfield, who told me the car would be repaired. Within days of picking up the car, it was already breaking down. By the time the car needed a second new engine, it was under recall for an engine defect. They kept my car for months, & getting a loaner was very difficult & took weeks, despite being approved by Ford. Robbie threatened to have me arrested if I called them again, despite having only called them a normal amount of times to check on the car and ask about a loaner. I began calling Ford when I needed to ask them a question, and would have Ford call them with me on the line. Within days of picking up the car, the engine light & other lights were already on. When I took it in for the first oil change after the 2nd engine replacement, there were 2 men standing at the entrance, customers who appeared to know each other & were talking. Again, they were at the door, & they were not at the counter. One of them told me to go ahead, & they continued talking. One of them was asssisted, & I was at the other counter while the one who told me to go ahead of him was behind me. Frank looked behind me & offered to help the man behind me, who was the man who told me to go ahead of him while he was talking with the other man. The man TOLD Frank that he told me to go ahead of him, & again, the men were at the door when I entered the business, neither of them had approached the counter. Are other customers supposed to wait outside while two customers are at the door talking? Whoever is at the counter is the person next in line & the man told me to go ahead of him. Frank was VERY rude when he looked around me, offering to help the man, while I was standing at the counter. After the man told Frank that he told me to go ahead of him, I also spoke up for myself & informed Frank that I would not have jumped in line. Frank told me he didn't even know if they would be able to service my car, probably since I reported them to Ford, the State Attorney General, & to the BBB for the issues I was having with the second repair on my car & getting a loaner car so I would not have to get Ubers & ask friends for rides. BUT, they talked me into purchasing the service contract when I purchased the lemon car they sold me, so I asked how could they refuse the service. Frank let me know it would be HOURS for an oil change, so I told him that was fine. BTW, they talk you into purchasing the contract, but do not tell you they do not take appointments & they will take hours for simple oil changes & routine services. They want you to drop your car off & leave it. Frank was SO rude to me that while I was waiting I made a post on FB describing my experience & Robbie made me leave, but only after I demanded a refund for the remaining services due on my car. He claimed I jumped the line & was pissed about the FB post. I was recording so can prove I did not jump the line, & as mentioned, the men were at the door not the counter. The lady refunding my service contract money refused to give me the name of someone to complain to because she was pissed about my FB post. So much for truth and freedom of speech. Both times the car needed a new engine & the staff at Deacon Jones Ford were rude to me & did not want to help me I tried to reach out to Ken Jones. I was never able to reach him. The second time, I sent him an email & he never responded. Robbie likes to threaten & intimidate people. Before one oil change, their was a hold on my car until I talked to him. He called me into his office just me & him, and was very, very intimidating, demanding that when I would make negative statements on reviews that they sent me to complete after oil changes, that I was costing the employees their bonuses. My review was honest-it should not take hours for an oil change. Then, when I had the second engine replacement, he wasn't even in town, & did not even bother to ask for my side of the story when he threatened to have me arrested if I called them again, when I only called a normal amount of times that ANY customer would call to check on their car and ask about a loaner when they were without their car and needed transportation to work, school, and other commitments. My last time there he was also very rude and intimidating, "And don't come back!" LOL, mf, I didn't want to be there to begin with, but you guys sold me a lemon car then talked me into purchasing a service plan, but neglected to tell me that an oil change would take hours. Sell you crap, try to intimidate you when you need service and repairs.
