A few months ago I needed a last minute room, and well since the Bartender that night was trying to retire off me, my funds were limited. So after I close out my tab, and decide that its gonna be a JC for my kids college and not a UC (thanks Bartender) I grab my phone and check a few motels in the area. What I was looking for was the most bang for my buck, cheap price but not to cheap of a motel. I didn't want to wake up with lice, or have to sleep with vermin, since they weren't chipping in on the bill. I see Garey Motel and book it for the night. Slept soundly, and woke up to no lice or no little friends crawling around. Like I said most bang for your buck. The story doesn't stop here though. A few weeks later I find myself in a similar situation needing a solid, safe, clean room that doesn't cost to much. Garey Motel pops up again, and I book it. This time something's different. Right when I walk in I notice the room has been remodeled. Now I don't pretend to be anything other than a special Ed teacher... I am not a designer by any means but I do know quality when I see it. These rooms have been remodeled for the better and the smell of cleanliness is picked up outside the door even before walking in your room. Remember now I look for the most bang for the buck, And I don't pay very much for the room so I figure okay next time the prices will probably go up because they remodeled their rooms. A couple more weeks go by and well here we are Christmas break and I need somewhere nice to stay for a few days while my house is being worked on, I choose Garey motel, and let me tell you why. The price still hasn't gone up since the room remodeling... like I say most bang for the buck. The rooms are awesome, and look modern. Now I will say this, if your gonna be one of those that are gonna compare this motel to the Venetian in Vegas, just get outa here, no local motel or nothing for that matter will ever please you in life anyways so move along. Be real here, have real expectations. Garey Motel offers a great fair price, modern rooms, cleanliness, and a safe place whether it's for a night or a few days and to top it off the owners are a husband and wife couple who stop whatever they are doing to help and assist you with your needs. This review was written after staying here several times within a few months span, meaning I've had time to critique this place. And well I'll say it again, I'm not a professional "motel goer." I'm just a teacher, someone who has a normal job like you, but I do know quality when I see it. Thanks guys for the awesome room, I'll be seeing you soon. read more

this place is horrible i left for a good 2 hours and came back the same day i checked in the cleaning person came in and threw ALL of my belongings, i went to the front desk and complained and the guy said she must've thought the people left and said theres nothing i can do about it. Definitely better than motel 6, the wifi actually works great and it's very clean and quiet too, great location, walking distance to grocery store and Starbucks too. Totally recommend this establishment for its price. read more

Had a great night here. Clean and staff was friendly. Nice rooms overall. Drink and everything.

This place was definitely within budget, and accommodated everything I would need. The showers were hot, and the TV worked fine. The wifi connection was good, and the management was very hospitable. The owner even checked the room himself prior to check in to make sure it was good. I would stay here again. I felt safe, and my overall experience was very good. ​ read more

The customer service was horrible the guy at the office is rude and doesn't know how to conduct business. He watched my room all night kept calling, called my room phone early morning just breathing on the phone like a creep. He also called me telling me my rental is going to be towed bc that isn't the first car I came here with but the car I came here with needed to go to the shop and that's why I have a rental! He still was saying no that's not the car that's registered HE NEVER ASKED FOR LICENSE PLATES, NOTHING FROM THE JUMP so it was never registered but it's not my fault I had to get a rental. I asked for my money back I was told no. I also asked for towels and tissue over the phone I was told "make me happy and I will give you towels and tissue". WHAT A CREEP!! I will never be back here!!! read more

Updated from 1 to 4 stars: My parents booked a room here for a few days but needed to cancel. There were misunderstandings on the phone and after two weeks from the cancellation request (well ahead of the deadline in the cancellation policy), my parents had not received a refund or response to their calls and emails. I called the office and was able to get through to the manager but went in to the motel since the manager wasn't able to confirm the cancellation. I printed my parents' emails of the booking cancellation and met with the manager and his wife. It took 45 minutes and several phone calls but they were finally able to refund my parent's credit card. I'm glad I had time to wait (and calm down) and that we were able to fix it. The manager said there were technical issues and it was his first time having to do manually cancel a booking like that. I am glad they were understanding about why I was upset and were able to follow through to help. We all left happy, so I want to give them 4 stars for being patient and professional with me. The one star off is because the system needs work or upgrading to avoid these issues. read more

It was nice and updated. The rooms were clean. The customer service was nice. It's not no roach motel. It's actually the complete opposite so I would highly recommend if you're visiting Pomona that you stay here it's close to everything and there's a gas station next-door as well and pets friendly. read more

But wow when a place is the right price, squeaky clean, and has fun amenities as in a fully functioning jacuzzi tub, not to mention far enough away from all the noise that is this city. Im only giving this 2 stars because the receptionist was nice. No refund policy set and I can see why. The room overall was neat but has little details along with it that made the stay unwelcoming. Bed smelled funky and had some questionable stains. Upon trying to store some of my clothing I opened a drawer only to find some paraphernalia. No an ideal condition. Im not a picky person by any means but cmon? How can you not check the drawers. The receptionist offered to clean it but I didn't bother. I took my money elsewhere. Front desk guy was very nice! Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and updated with great tv channels and a nice stand up shower.

GOT DOUBLE CHARGED. Extremely dirty place. Strong marijuana smell. I just would like to warn people about this place. We booked and paid online through Priceline. During check-in we were asked for the card for security deposit, a few days later we noticed that we were charged twice for this stay. They refused to return our money. 2020 was a difficult year for us, we lost our home that's why we had to stay at a hotel. Also I'm pregnant. And the hotel manager Johnny still double charged us! I feel robbed and very sad. read more

The rooms themselves are decent and the staff were really polite, but unfortunately the area the motel is located in dooms it to be very crime-ridden and sketchy. The lack of reviews discussing the problem of this sketchiness prompted us to make a reservation here. Within the first 10-15 minutes of checking into our room, we witnessed drug deals go down in the parking lot and had local homeless people knock on our door continuously. Was hard to get any sleep because we felt so unsafe, mostly worries about our cars being broken into or sketchy knocks at the door in the middle of the night. The police even stopped by to investigate screams/loud bangs that came from a room not too far from ours in the middle of the night.I recommend paying the extra $50 and staying at a slightly nicer, safer hotel. read more

I came across this motel on Expedia due to the convenience. I was from out of town and had a long drive home. It was late I will say but I wouldn't have picked this place if they didn't advertise that they were open 24hrs. So I booked the room online and arrived 15 minutes later. The gentleman outside the front desk area, was what I assumed was the person working the front desk approached my friend and I and stared at us in a bothered way. I told him I booked the room online and if I could check in. He then stated there was a wait and he has to wait to hear back. There was no one else there and it was already past 12 so I don't know who or what he was referring too. I asked him how long do you think it could be he said it depends, it can be an hour or more it all depends. And I've already been charged for the room and the deposit. After I said well it's already late and that I was charged he changed the duration of time to 15-20 minutes so I waited then went back and he said there was an issue which he could have said before but it was that the name under the booking confirmation was from an expired ID. I paid and brought him my current ID with my debit card with the same name. He said there's nothing he could do and that I needed to contact someone, and it's already getting closer to 2 am so who am I going to be able to get through too ?! I change my account information and let him know. He then said we'll you're going to have to wait awhile longer to see if I heard back. Again he's working this place by himself and it's not even packed. I was going to wait a little bit longer since I was already charged and he told me he couldn't issue me any sort of refund even though I didn't even get to check in and enter a room! I waited and then I see that he takes off in his car! I was losing my patience and he was being so unnecessarily rude and ridiculous so I left. I'm so disappointed in management for this place. They should hire those who can remember that they work overnight at a 24hr establishment and not act so miserable about it. Anyone who oversees these sort of issues needs to evaluate their staff. read more

This area motel ING has gone downhill!! This NEWLY REMODELED motel is very clean, they sterilize ALL ROOMS THOROUGHLY after each stay, very don't allow any RIFF RAFF to disturb your stay, I was here 6 days and nothing but good things to say, if your am average traveler need a GOOD place to stay this is it for the area, if you want to party and get loud this is NOT the place for you...if you book on BOOKING.COM you get a good price. Stayed here last-minute reservation when most places weren't accepting any more reservations for the night. Was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my stay was considering some of the other places in the area. Woke up well rested and the owner greeted me in the morning upon check out very concerned about my stay which is also a pleasant surprise and different from other places in the area I've stayed and received no hospitality. I'd recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will be keeping it in mind! read more

Was definitely a good deal for a place very last minute and everywhere else was booked. My friends had a great memories at our festival so it was nice to come back. One of the doors was broken and couldn't lock correctly and was very hard to hear the manager at the check-in window. Other than that, didn't really have much to complain. read more

This hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've traveled all over the world. The beds are uncomfortable, the rooms are like shoeboxes and the bathrooms and showers have poor drainage. The toilet paper is the smallest, thinnest roll I've ever seen and the soap was like a cracker. The included breakfast is stale bread and some jams and coffee. That's breakfast? Don't be fooled by the "cheap rates" They play games with the prices and take shortcuts wherever they can. Besides for the discomfort and cheapness of this place, the management is prejudicial and extremely inexperienced with the hospitality business. BUYER BEWARE. You will regret staying here!!!! read more

My experience at the Gary motel was great nice and clean and stuff was friendly a little strict but only to keep up their hard work of China improve the motel yes I would recommend it to anyone read more
