Kristen does an exceptional job and makes my lashes look great, natural but just enough to keep makeup minimum. She and the rest of the team can tailor each look to what you want. If you want volume, more curl, or like mine a natural look please check this place out. I had been looking for a great lash studio in this area and now I can't imagine going anywhere else! Also these women take the profession and education of the staff really seriously, each location is incredibly clean and the entire staff has exhaustive experience. I believe pricing is reasonable and well you just get an excellent product. I was fortunate enough to get a last minute appointment with Kristen at Garnet Lash Studio in Monterey. I rested on a soft, heated bed while Kristen performed her magic. She explained the high standards of training the salon requires for them to be able to do lash extensions. She was so delicate in apply both the tape and lashes!! I wasn't uncomfortable at any time. In fact I was able to rest peacefully during the process. Kristen was professional and very pleasant to be with during my two hours with her while she applied my full set of lash extensions. This was such a wonderful and professional process. It was easy to book through texts and got a response immediately. I was very excited to get my eyelash extensions done since it had been awhile. I didn't have a good experience with the last place I got them done, so I was excited to try Garnet Lash Studio Monterey. They come highly recommended on multiple social media sites and have very extensive training in lashes I have heard from a lot of friends. The parking and ease to find the studio was very simple. Parked right up front. The girls in the shop all greeted me with smiles and clearly training in hospitality is extremely important to them. They are always checking in and making sure you are comfortable. I did a really easy lashes questionnaire on a tablet and then we got started on my lash extensions. The bed you lay on to get the extensions put on was so comfortable and clean. The attention to detail and cleanliness shows in this studio. We began the extensions and it was so gentle. I never felt uncomfortable at all. Danielle was so careful and took her time. This I know is important so my existing lashes do not get damaged. Clearly one of the reasons they are the best eyelash studio in Monterey. My lashes when done looked amazing. The best ever. This place is great you walk into a spa like atmosphere and are greeted right away. There is a cute waiting room with a couch and a stylish rug. I filled out paperwork online so I was taken right back. I layed in a spa like massage table face up to get my eyelash extensions on. This was my first time doing this so I wasn't sure what to expect. It took 2 hours as I laid there and one by one they stuck on my lashes. She taped down my lower lashes so it wouldn't interfere with the top set I assume. It went by fast, I think I might have even fallen asleep. It didn't hurt or was uncomfortable in any way. And it wasn't because of my natural lashes cycle how they had said, cause they were falling off alone without my natural lash attached to them.... Wasn't too thrilled about that, and spending $80 every two weeks to keep them refreshed.. I would've expected the 3 weeks but nonetheless better than other lash places I've heard of. I absolutely loved getting my lashes done here!! I went here for about 3-4 months and experienced nothing less that fabulous service. I constantly got compliments on my lashes and my eyes once I started getting extensions from here and it made my make up routine so simple! I would much rather splurge on my lashes than get my nails done. The place is peaceful and whoever's playlist that they play has a great taste in music! I guess they only want your credit card number. I was really excited about getting an appointment for Friday that I made online because it looked like it would be fun for Valentines Day. I received some calls and texts the next day to confirm the appointment and to "ask me some questions." When I called back that evening I expected some information and q&a about the procedure. Instead, I was asked if I was excited, which I was, then I was immediately asked for my credit card number. I expressed my concern as I haven't even been to the shop or had anything explained and I was basically told that the only way they will book an appointment is with a credit card number, because I MIGHT CANCEL ON THEM. She told me to check them out on yelp, so here I am. I said maybe I would feel more comfortable if I swung by the shop the next day but I was told the only other way was if she sent me an invoice and I paid for the entire visit in advance. I said I would look at it but I haven't received anything at all. I have memberships at other places where they have my cc number, but I don't just give it out to whoever asks, sorry. I guess they have a lot of customers not showing up, but that isn't my fault. read more
