The candle was a hand-carved orange and white sunburst candle that was naturally scented with essential oils. Very nice aroma, made well and my mother found a perfect matching candle holder. She was very happy with the detail also. The aftershave came in an antique looking brown bottle (medicine bottles of 1800s flavor) with a unique label. Somewhat nautical in theme and adhered the old-fashioned way (glossy paste) so big plus on detail again. The scent was a peppery musk smell that had a good masculine tone. My father was very happy with it (and my mother, maybe that's why...) He says it has replaced what he's been using. So two perfect gifts so far, and I will definitely shop here again. Competition is real, and honestly, that's great for customers. That said, this store feels like it may have passed its prime a bit. They still carry the basics (and that's important), but the fresh grocery selection feels inconsistent. On the flip side, there's a noticeably bigger focus on frozen meals and frozen options, which is convenient... but it's not quite the same as walking in and feeling confident about the fresh picks. A bigger concern for me: a few times I visited, I noticed items that were close to--or possibly past--their prime/expiration date. That's the kind of thing that makes shoppers hesitate, especially when there are so many alternatives nearby. I genuinely think a little refresh would go a long way: - tighter inventory rotation - clearer quality checks - small clean-up / organization upgrades This is still a local business, and I'd like to see them bounce back. I'll continue to support when I can but I really hope they tighten up on options and inventory so it feels like the go-to spot again.

Every member of the staff greeted me nicely and seemed to really like working there, no one was rude or miserable looking, that's always a plus! Lol I was assisted in the photo department by Laura who was fast, personable and went above & beyond. She was friendly and likable! :) Upon checking out I chatted with the manager who shared with me the different charities that Walgreens supports which was really cool. Major kudos to Walgreens in Gilroy and their kind employees! I'll be shopping there again for sure! :)

The first was when my Christmas cards were not delivered on time, and now this latest issue involved a same-day personalized 24th anniversary card. I was away for the weekend celebrating my anniversary, so I asked my daughter to pick up the card for me. She went in the same day, but staff told her there was a problem with their printer. They said they would call once it was resolved, but no one ever followed up. When we returned home Monday, my daughter had already gone to school. Since Walgreens never contacted us, she later stopped by again to pick up the card. Unfortunately, it still was not ready. This time, she was told I needed to select a different size. She relayed that message to me, but when I went online, there was no option available to choose a different size. As a result, I had to make a card myself on regular paper, which was far less special than what I had originally ordered. After 20 years of using Walgreens for printing services, it is disappointing to see such a decline in reliability and customer service.

I walked in and they told me that only 1 of my meds were ready. I was so annoyed. Took it and walked out. Out of curiosity, I opened the bag just to find out they only refilled 5 out of the 60 that I was supposed to get. I went back in to complain and The lady told me that that's all they have. I told them that they had a whole week to refill my meds for me. I've never had this issue when I was picking up my meds from Walmart, because they would refill my meds for me within 1- 2 days. Unfortunately since I changed health insurance, Now I'm stuck with this bullshit. This isn't the first time this has happened either. And looking around, I'm not the only one that has to deal with this bs. I would have given them no star if given the option. I was so happy when I was able to order what I needed and was able to pick it up right after. My order was ready within 15 minutes and picking up was a breeze. Since I didn't walk around the store much, I can't really say about the selection of items, but from what I can see - the aisles were neat and things were stocked. I did have to wait a little bit until a staff member was available, but overall - it was a quick and pleasant experience. I would def order online and come pick up again if I'm in need of anything. This location shares the parking lot with a Planet Fitness (right next door), Carl's Jr, and some chargers. I think the Tesla chargers are often busy, but the ones near Carl Jr's seems to have free spots sometimes. Parking can get tricky here, especially during the 4-6 hour. When it rains, there's also a huge pool of water in the middle parking spots and people tend to go the wrong way - be cautious when trying to find parking!

I received a notification that my dad's prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy expecting a quick transaction. Instead, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to release the medications because there had been a change. When I asked what the change was, no one could explain it, and I couldn't find anything different on the prescription label. To make matters worse, I had to wait over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to return and approve the release. I didn't have extra time to sit and wait because I needed to get my dad to a scheduled appointment. If the medication isn't actually available for pickup, then why does the website and notification system say it's ready? Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had at this location. My dad receives a monthly injection, and during our last refill they gave us the runaround for three days, claiming they couldn't reach his doctor for approval on needles. The problem was that there was already a valid refill on file the entire time. It took them three days to figure that out. People don't have time to make multiple trips and deal with repeated pharmacy issues just to get medications they depend on. Because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and wasted time, I will be transferring my dad's prescriptions to another pharmacy. Of you need your medicine in a timely manner skip this location and go elsewhere.
