I am SO in love with my lashes! Jenna did an amazing job! She is so knowledgeable and (as because I am a total nerd and I love learning) she gave me a step by step of the process, how to care for them, etc. I normally have long lashes but I wanted a more fuller look, and not only did I get what I wanted but she exceeded my expectations! Not only do I not need mascara anymore, but I don't need eyeliner either! Before I got my lash extensions, when I would wear mascara I'd get mascara rubbed off on my brow bone and I'd have to do a makeup checks constantly. I LOVE that I don't have that problem anymore!! I have been going to Garnet Lash studios for a year and a half. I had a really bad experience with someone who did my lashes in Salinas and glued large bulky lashes to my lid instead of on my lashes. They looked fake and were so uncomfortable. The lash artists at Garnet educated me about the fact that my fine lashes required a certain lash for my extensions and that they should NEVER be glued to the eyelid. I couldn't believe how comfortable my new lash extensions were! I couldn't even feel them on my eyelashes after getting a fill. This is how lash extensions should feel! I don't even have to wear mascara or eyeliner on my top lid anymore! A huge plus when your lid begins to droop and mid-day you get eyeliner and mascara smudged on your lid. I hardly ever write Yelp reviews, but I had to share my experience at Garnet Lash Studio in Monterey and specifically the AMAZING job Rachelle does on my lashes. I have been going to her for about six months and I'm addicted! Even when I get out of bed in the morning and look in the mirror I feel confident and beautiful. Being a teacher I rarely spend money on "extra" things.. But I would give up most expenses before I gave up getting my lashes done! I LOVE my lashes, I LOVE not having to wear mascara, and I LOVE the way I look without make-up on (something I NEVER thought I would say). I must add that I did try another lasher once in Monterey and had a pretty terrible experience.. I had large clumps of glue, my lashes were going every-which-way and even worse.. They HUUUURT! Needless to say, I would never go anywhere but Garnet Lash- Everyone that lashes there knows what they are doing and you will have a flawless experience! read more

After having a not so great lash experience elsewhere, I was extremely happy with my time at Garnet Lash Studio Monterey! They are all so sweet, text you about your appointment or to answer your questions (I know this may come as a shock, but it's a real live person you can actually text and speak to) lol! Two weeks later going in for my refresh and my friends all asked me why I had an appointment because my lashes looked so good still! So quality was also amazing! To make it even better - on my way to my second appointment - I was rear ended and my car was totaled. Their policy is to charge a pretty high amount if you just bail the day of....totally understandable...but when she heard why I didn't make it, spoke to her manager and didn't charge me at all. Told me to call and reschedule whenever I was ready. Went in this morning for my appointment finally and again enjoyed my experience. Customer service above par and quality of service as well! I have had a really great experience. The salon is beautiful & everyone is welcoming. You will get text messages reminding you of your appt, which is helpful. Jenna does my lashes & she is excellent!
