He was very rude and then belittled us in front of his office manager. He said if you need a PCP google it. Our reason for visiting his office was to get a test done on my husband's neuropathy and to make Dr. Willens our PCP but he refused that only because we were receiving homeopathic treatments before my husband's surgery to have his toe amputated. So Dr. Willens automatically assumed we only preferred homeopathic treatment and we specifically told him we were not going back to have their treatments done any more, but he would not listen. Unfortunately he has left his practice that I met him at and joined another one. The place I'm referring to is Kingwood Family Practice off Lake Houston Pkwy. He does not have separate staff like I somehow expected. The entire clinic shares the same people. Today I had to come to a horrendously difficult decision. I'm backing away from seeing Dr. Daniels again until he moves some place else, or this place gets it's act together, if ever. I actually caught them ignoring my calls, they don't return messages, or deliver your messages to your doctor. If you call them out about their behavior you will lame story about being short handed, etc.. "right now'. Don't buy it. After checking reviews on Google I found complaints going back for a number of years talking about the exact same issues I'm seeing. I'm going to miss him immensely, but my nerves and patience are shot. There is just way too much of this bad business in the medical field these days. They all ready need to check themselves.

After he had the x-ray, a mass was discovered in his right lung. Needless to say, he had a total pneumectomy and chemo to follow. My dad went back to Daniels this year for reasons I do not understand with a persistent cough again. This time he told him it was allergies/post nasal drip. His medical staff is still exemplary with one notable addition: Brian, Dr. Shatby's medical assistant. I cannot express the degree to which I am impressed by Brian's care and other members of Dr. Shatby's team, namely Lupe and Juan. 2020: I was so impressed with Dr. Shatby when he performed Achilles tendon surgery on me four years ago that I am once again under his excellent care for severe arthritis in my knees. Dr. Shatby is an extraordinary surgeon, completely informed, extremely capable, and incredibly caring. His staff is competent, efficient, and attentive, which is a very rare find these days. Because of his expertise, Dr. Shatby is in high demand, so he does not waste time, yet will spend as much time with the patient as he or she needs, answering all questions. Note: I always record my sessions with the doctor in case I forget something from the wealth of information he typically divulges. I highly recommend Dr. Shatby (and his staff) to anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon. 2016: Dr. Shatby is a gifted surgeon with impressive credentials. Because of this, he is much in demand. Be prepared for your appointment. I had a typed and formatted paper of my diagnoses, medications, allergies, and physicians ready to hand to him. I recorded our appointment, which he did not mind in the least. Most importantly, any questions I had were typed and ready to hand to him, and I had phrased the questions as specifically as possible. He gladly answered every one of them in detail. His demeanor is matter-of-fact and to the point while still exuding sympathy and awareness of the impact of a troubling diagnosis.
