Such a broad spectrum in the reviews for this place but I can see where they are coming from. I stopped using this facility about 4 years ago when I noticed that one of the doctors I used billed my insurance for items that I did not receive or was given. I felt that if she/they would cheat the insurance company then probably maybe I would have been cheated or misled into procedures and test not necessary to my condition. Forward to February 2015. I hobbled in here reluctant but hey, anybody or place is worth a second chance correct? I signed in, gave the desk personnel my insurance card, filled out the paper work and waited. Noticeable immediately was the personal greetings, smiling faces and their treatment of the way I was spoken too as well as the other people I observed for about 15 minutes. I was timely whisked into Dr. Michele Gocuay's office for the routine weight, , size and blood pressure format paperwork. All good to go, another wait in the waiting room and this time it did not take half an hour for someone to come in before another barrage of questions about my past health history etc, to say the least it was brief. Dr. Gocuay finally made it in, asked in detail about more of what was going on with me and suggested me some bloodwork and urine test. Another brief moment, it was like I was on an assembly line things went so fast and smooth, was this a fluke? Forward to the lab room where they take your blood after another 10 minute wait. This is where the world kind of changes here. I tried to warn about 3 people that I passed out last time they drew blood from me and didn't seem like they wanted to heed my warning about what might happen but instead to pass the buck. The last lady that was going to take my blood was a little more comforting and not stoic as the others but it must have been the end of the day and this I had to understand. Nobody was rude but just not the pacified treatment that I so fast got used to in the front. Pharmacy time, back to regular reality, the gentlemen behind the counter must be related in work ethic to the ladies up front because again was great attitude and patience in answering my questions I had. The order was filled in about 10 minutes and I was on my way. This place is a little hard to find if you are distracted by driving back and forth 1960 but if you see a Starbucks, look behind it and you'll see the parking lot. If you are familiar with Nit Noi (the restaurant), it is across the street. Parking is just about right at the time I visited here and you do not feel any bad elements while walking to and from your ride. I waited over an hour after paying $80 to wait in a lobby... the nurses of Dr. Srijaya Bandi, as well as the devil herself, have terrible attitudes and poor customer service. Everyone in the facility should be trained in interpersonal communication skills, as well as customer service. Once I got called to the back (after an hour of waiting), Nurse A tells nurse B, "good luck with this one," as nurse B says "i got it from here," and then proceeds to say, "sorry for the wait but you weren't on our list. We had to clean the room for you. We tried calling you but unfortunately you didn't pick up!" I immediately looked at her sideways. Who says that to a customer who's been waiting over an hour?! A better response could have been: "my apologies for the wait, what bring you in today?" Or something to lighten the mood, not make the customer feel at fault. She asked for my new number, and I told her "this is the last time I'm dealing with this establishment so you don't need my number." She responded, "well Dr. Bandi's policy is to call for results." Which is a lie because on both YELP and GOOGLE, her reviews are terrible and they in fact do NOT call the patient for their results because my mother is also a patient of Dr. Bandi and we had to call for her blood test results. As I wait in the room, Nurse B comes back and says there's another doctor available and that I can wait in the lobby.... this ran me hot! I told her I was not going back to the lobby and when the room is ready I will go. Nurse A comes back in to take my blood pressure, tells me to empty my bladder and undress when I come back. Before I could come back in the room from the bathroom, Nurse A ask if I'm being seen for the Hives or a well woman's exam because I can't do both (even though the HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT recommended that I go with Dr. Bandi since she's able to do both. I waited another twenty minutes just for a completely different person to tell me that there is another doctor available. The rudeness, inconsistency, and poor customer service is the reason why I will never return to this establishment. I have had very bad experiences with this place. They told me they lost my records on 3 separate visits out of the 5. I worked in childcare for 7 yrs and was always getting sick from the various children i would interact with at that job ... Well, the last four years of that job we struggled with a virus called hand and foot disease or Coxsackie. This clinic NEVER found it. They never detected it even though me and my supervisor both suffered with it and went to this office (different docs) to be treated. Her name was Nafesia. Nafesia was in poor health and had previous heart surgeries. Unfortunately Nafesia's first language was not English so she never had a chance to leave a detailed review online. When she was in hospice care my coworkers went to visit her regularly. Doctors told A**** (with holding for privacy) that she was suffering from Coxsackie virus symptoms with a bad heart that weakened her. Eventually N passed away. Can i blame this clinic for not doing their job of finding this virus? In my mind, yes. Because i suffered so much and went there. They took throat cultures from me and said "it's negative for strep" after gagging me. Well thanks for telling me what it isn't. I saw more than one different doctor here over many years and the only one i would recommend was Dr Le, (the male). The PAs were cordial but incompetent. They will hear you but not listen. They were quick to put me on antidepressants repeatedly even though i had zero relief in pain which is why i find their title "pain mgt" a joke. Every few months i would repeat, pain is not improving, so they up my dose. Turns out they weren't treating underlying conditions. I was put on an anti depressant dose so high, bright lights would affect me like sensory overload. I gained a lot of weight and got no pain relief. It took me years of my own research to discover what they had overlooked. It was mentioned by dr Le herself early in the 90s but she failed to treat me for it. (So they knew about it). I had a hormone issue. It took years to wean me off of a useless antidepressant and get my hormones adjusted. This struggle was a part of my emotional well being. They failed me and Nafesia. I'm alive. Unfortunately, she isn't. RIP. read more

This place is the worst. It took me almost a month to get my medications on 1/2020. Went to the second doctor who never sent my lab results even after leaving messages and sending emails. The third doctor was worst, was late for the appointment. Spent three minutes with me and then left. She sent another lady to do an EKG without telling me what it was for. Let me preface this review by saying that Dr. Escobar was not the problem. He was polite and his medical assistance was very thorough. But this alone will not convince me to return! FM 1960 Family Practice is THE problem! Now I know why I never like going to get my annual physical exam. Let's talk about what happened. I arrived early for my 3:40 PM appointment and did not get my vitals checked until 30 minutes after my appointment time. People were getting called up before me who had arrived AFTER me... How does that always happen? My physical along with the flu shot took another 30 minutes, which I would've been OK with had I not already spent an entire HOUR at the facility. Right after the physical was over, I was sent to the lab to get my blood work done along with the lung x-ray. The wait time for the lab was absolutely ridiculous. The lab's lobby was filled with patients waiting to be called in for testing. It was 4:55 PM when I started waiting for the lab to call me in for the blood work/x-ray. I waited 20 minutes to get the x-ray done and an additional 30 minutes to get my blood work done. I finally left the facility at 6 PM. This is unacceptable. A simple annual wellness exam should not take over TWO HOURS to complete. There was no consideration for the patient's wait time or the fact that I had been fasting all day for the exam. It was as if multiple patients were scheduled for the same doctor at the same appointment time and there was a huge bottleneck of people trying to get lab work done at the end of the day. Not only was the wait terrible, but the attitudes of the workers drawing the blood were terrible. They were so rude! I legitimately thought they were going to take their frustrations out on my poor vein, but luckily, I got the nicer nurse of the bunch to do my blood work. I regret coming to FM 1960 Family Practice for my annual wellness exam. The only way I would return is if the staff addresses the above mentioned issues. read more

I first started seeing Dr. Alex Nguyen in 2009. I was very pleased then. Wonderful patient care! I went in on June 20, 2018 after 5 years and its crowded, so much going on at once, my visit was pleasant but I was told I needed an echo and stress test but wasn't given my EKG results. I then called to get my blood test results and realized the did allergy testing too. I didn't ask for that! I just feel that now its about money, money, money instead of patient care. I went in for a physical and because he gave me an RX for my blood pressure medication I was charged my PCP copay! I will be back for my annual physical but I have decided to see a cardiologist to treat my blood pressure and do the appropriate testing only if needed. read more

Although think that Dr. Alex Nguyen is an excellent physician and seems to genuinely care about his patients, but my family and I are very unhappy with this clinic from an administrative perspective. We have been waiting for a month for a referral from Dr. Nguyen's staff. After the first phone message that I left, one of his assistants called me back and assured me that we would have the referral shortly. Since then, I have called multiple times and have sent emails. No one has responded. I finally left a voice message with one of the practice managers. Still, nothing. I'd like to think that a negative Yelp review might be a source of encouragement for them to get their act together, but I'm kind of amazed at how many negative reviews their are here. The doctors and nurses here are fantastic. In fact, all the medical staff is pretty wonderful. I saw Dr. Alex Nguyen for years. However it finally became too much. Over-scheduling, rude office workers, impossibly rude billing department workers, and excessive orders for tests all led to me going elsewhere for medical needs. Also, all of the "miracle fix" advertisements on the walls of the exam rooms were a big turn off. No, I don't want cold sculping/fad diets/miracle wrinkle treatments pushed on me. The doctors would routinely prescribe all kinds of unneeded tests, which they would then bill to insurance and collect payment this way. This is what actually led to me finally finding a new doctor. A friend of mine who worked part time on their books informed me of this practice. Management like that at 1960 Family Practice is one of the main reasons healthcare is so expensive/such a major concern in this country. Doctors and nurses are great. I have been going to this location long before it was 1960 Family Practice Center when Dr. Tony Young was there(1991). Upon his retirement I started going to Dr Aguirre who is good but they overcharged my Medicare deductible and are saying that it will be 4-6 weeks to get a refund. This is unacceptable. They are unfriendly, and very unbending in they approach. They certainly want their money now, but it seems to give it back when they make a mistake they take advantage of the situation. This office lied to me I waited 1 month to see a doctor in network to find out she was leaving on my first appointment. 1 month after my appointment they are now telling me she was out of network. Do not go here they will lie to you as well I was angry about the doctor taking a 1st appointment knowing she would be leaving. This facility has really gone down. I have been a patient here for about 6 years seeing DrAnnie Hoang, she is a great physician but this facility. My CPAP machine broke 3/2019 originally i went 1960 sleep center about 5 years ago. In March i started calling 1960 sleep center to get a new machine left several voicemails and emails, called the main line several times, and checked the website for any updates. No response. Finally i went in for a doctors appointment and learned they have CLOSED the sleep center but no one outside of managementknew that. All the times ive called and left voicemails or checked the website i was never informed that the sleep center was closed. So after that i finally get the ball rolling and 1960 FP starts to outsource their sleep study to vitalis which is ridiculously expensive they quoted me 300 more then a outside company. But wait getting my information over to a outside company required me to return to the facility 3 separate occasions because voicemails and emails were not being returned. Worst experience ever. If it could get negative stars I would. Follow up- i had to take off work to go up to 1960 FP and retrieve all the forms needed to have my study done at a outside facility which took every minute of 3 hours. During which time i spoke with several people Elsy, Samantha (which was as helpful as possible), and Lorena. Some how Lorena and Elsy left Samantha to deal with the issue since she was the first point of contact. Which was wrong i spoke with Lorena Monday 5/13 and explained i needed a paper order she stated i could do that. More like she didnt want to. Then on 5/16 about 10:00 I went to speak with Lorena explaining i was waiting on a order to be faxed over by an outside provided and it required a signature; the entire time she didn't lift her head from the computer or the phone to even acknowledge me. Not to mention several voicemails where left. Samantha went back to Lorena about 11:00 to check the fax, explaining that i was in the lobby. Did Lorena check with anyone after the fax was never received No. I spoke with Lorena again about 1:50 and she states they finally got a fax and it was cut off, this was communicated to anyone. So i ask the outside company to email the referral and to check the spam folder. Per Lorena they don't get emails in their spam folder. When I confronted Lorena about me speaking to her about 10am she doesn't recall, mentioned Samantha she didn't know i was here. She didn't check. Then Elsy ignoring the issue like it was a ridiculous notion, she didnt do anything towards assisting me. I will be switching facilities asap. read more

I was a patient here for a little while, and I was actually fairly happy with my doctor until now. A) Like previous reviewers, I've also been duped by referrals to Providence Hospital (which seems to be outside of everyone's network, based on the reviews I see here), despite my asking the doctor's office to please work only within my insurance network. I have never hd this problem before with previous doctors. However, like many others, I've received a few surprise bills later in the mail after getting labwork done here, sometimes even AFTER paying a nice sum out of pocket the day I got the labs done. B) Appointments. This place has ZERO concept of their patients work/life balance. My doctor expected me to come back in for "check-ups" constantly, when I really don't need to see a doctor that often. I am blessed that I do not have any chronic or recurring health issues that would really require me to go back for checkups constantly, or to be closely monitored in any way whatsoever. My doctor does not offer a lot of Saturday appointments, so that is not usually an option. I am not made of copay money, nor do I have an endless supply of time off of work. C) Prescription refills. Getting a refill has become a struggle, and it *definitely* coincides with the excessive appointments problem I mentioned above. I take a non-controlled substance daily that has always been dispensed to me in 1-year increments under previous doctors. Here, I get a 3 month supply at most, and I am expected to come back and see the doctor again to fill out a BS questionnaire and speak with the doctor for a few minutes, I guess so it feels like I'm getting my money and time's worth. The major issue that made me ultimately decide to no longer be seen here was I had an appointment scheduled in a few days, and I asked my doctor several times for a refill of my medication because I was close to running out. The doctor's assistant told me they would ask the doctor and let me know, but she NEVER called me back to tell me anything. Not once. I let it slide, because I knew I would be seeing the doctor again in a couple of days anyway. The morning of my appointment, the clinic called me to tell me the doctor was not going to be in that day and that I needed to reschedule, so I did. I rescheduled a couple of weeks out because, again, I'm not made of money and time off of work. I tried to get in touch with the doctor via her direct line, and only got voicemail, to which I left a message asking for a refill. I didn't hear anything back from them all weekend. When the doctor's assistant finally called me back that following Monday, she reiterated that I was still expected to come in for a visit, despite the doctor having cancelled on me the day of my appointment. I reminded her of this, and again asked for a refill. Again, I was told they would "ask the doctor and let me know". Again, they did not let me know. The lack of communication from this doctor's office is highly unprofessional on its own, but the absolute refusal to be flexible with patients who have been doing their best to loyally come see you as often as the doctor wanted is just plain lousy. My beloved Dr Ramon Miro retired two years ago. Unfortunately this meant finding a new doc. Well I tried Dr Nuila Crouse. He was okay. His follow up is unsatisfactory. His staff is below poor. On a scale of 1-10, his staff is a -10. I called several times and caould never get a live person on the phone. I left several messages and not one time did I get a return call. I needed a small procedure done. When the medical assistant from Dr Nuila Crouse office called me, she could not explain the procedure to me. Although the 1960 Family Practice is an IN-Network clinic for my insurance, they send out all their lab work to their own private facility the "Providence Hospital", and that is an OUT-of-Network. My mother knows no english, and she doesn't know about this, so she has been going and doing lab work at that hospital. If I could get less than 1 star I would. This place is a total disgrace. My mother went to this place on Friday for extreme pain in her chest and shoulder. She was seen by Dr. Bandhi for all of 5 mins and told her it was possibly just arthritis or possibility of stroke. My mother is not just a regular patient, she is also a medical professional, she knew it was not arthritis or a stroke and kept asking the doctor when her last pneumonia shot was given. Instead of checking on her concern they dismissed her claim and told her they would order an X-ray in their lab. The lab technician was also incompetent, there was no direction, the man did not tell her to hold her breath or cover her to protect her chest from the radiation, their EKG machine was blurred and afterwards they told her to just go home and wait it out. My mother was still in excruciating pain that she had to go to urgent care. That doctor took the same lab tests and saw that is was lower left lobe pneumonia. He told her that he was happy she came in because of she waited too much longer it would have seriously impacted her lungs, possibly killing her. He ordered levaquin for my mother and did the job that this facility is incapable of doing. Fast forward to Monday (3 days later) this facility called my mother back to tell her it was just ARTHRITIS and to continue the medication (anti-inflammatory)that was prescribed. Also come to find out the lab technician took an X-ray if her shoulder and NOT her chest!!! This is how people die! This should be a medical review board complaint! My mother could be dead due to their medical error. Thank god my mother is also a medical professional and knew that Dr. Bandhi's diagnosis was a mistake. If you value your life and health then do not come here! Also... be aware that their lab is not in most health insurances network. The physician is in network but the lab work is not. We have since found out that not only did they overbook but they triple overbooked and have us waiting an hour after our appointment. When we asked how long we would have to wait they were dismissive and demeaning saying we don't have a room so... I don't know how long you will have to wait. This is a review for the 2920 location: Be aware. These facilities are CON-JOBS!!! I set an appointment at the 2920 facility for a general physical (male, 36 years old) and stated I only want a general physical and nothing NOT covered by my insurance. The wait to see the doctor wasn't too bad and I was ushered in to see Dr minnie malhotra. The exam was obviously geared toward selling selling selling. We need to give you an anxiety test, we need to check you for sleep apnea, etc etc. It was like having a unwanted salesman at your door that wouldn't go away. After saying no to all the sales pitches, I went to get what i thought was routine blood work done for a routine physical. Little did I know until I got the bill a month later that a testosterone test was added on top of other unwkianted tests for a total of around $300 NOT covered by insurance!!!! I'm 36, just had my 2nd child, and am writing an angry review. I obviously don't require a testosterone test. I explicately told the front desk I wanted a routine physical and only what my insurance covered. My insurance covers routine physicals. i ran the gauntlet of trying to dodge this shady companies bs exams only to have bs unauthorized blood work exams thrown in without my consent. This place is a con job not interested in treating the patients but instead in gauging their pockets or hitting those insurance co. Its dispicable when you can't trust places like this. The medical industry has turned into car mechanics. If you're lucky enough to find one you trust, better stick with them for life because you'll never find another. This is the worst medical practice ever and the most disorganized. I made an appointment for my wife with Dr. Vi Nguyen. On the day of the visit I called to confirm the time, they said this is the Dr. last week and she no longer accepted new patient. When I asked why no one ever contacted us, they had no answer.
