My daughter was getting married on April 9. 2011. This wedding was costing me an obscene amount of money (as all you fathers I'm sure can relate). My daughter even convinced me that for her wedding photos she had wanted me to have a beautiful smile... so what could I do. I went to see Dr. Ellenbogen after reading and researching many of the dentists in this area. I went to the Washingtonian issue for dentists and quickly found out that this is more of a popularity contest amongst dentists (dentists voting for each other if they vote for you... one hand washes the other). Than I decided to ask friends and colleagues. I also went on to google and yelp for reviews and the constant was Dr. Ellenbogen.. Must say a beautiful office which he had designed himself. and he told me his wife who is an interior decorator helped a lot. To make a long story short my daughter's wedding came through without a hitch and the wedding photos shows a very happy father with a beautiful natural smile ( inside I was crying though... many fathers can relate to that). I found Dr.Ellenbogen through yahoo and my husband. My husband is your Type A personality and is very hard to please.... but even he commended Dr. Ellenbogen on his professsionalism and the results he was seeing. My husband also told me that Dr. Ellenbogen is in a group practice there so make sure you request DR.ELLENBOGEN otherwise they will throw you in with some other dentist. I don't know how the other dentists are in this practice, but when my husband had requested Dr. Ellenbogen the front desk triedto talk him into seeing one of the other dentists (my husband really did not like that) and they finally conceeded to his wishes. Dr. Ellenbogen has been my family dentist for a long time. I have recommended him to many people that I know. All of them, and I mean all of them, have thanked me for suggesting him. Like many people, I'm not always trusting of dentists, doctors, lawyers, car salesmen, etc., but Dr. Ellenbogen has earned my trust after all these years. He is an artist when it comes to cosmetic dentistry (that includes both my husband and me). He is concerned about you as a person too. I do not often write reviews on thse sites, but Dr. Ellenbogen has been such aqn influence on my life as well as my family's life especially my children. I have been seeing him for more years than I want to mention and he has helprd give me a gorgeous smile as well as my 27 year old daughter's smile. I agree with others on this site that he is a caring and honest individual , which is not easy to find here in Northern Va. and especially when it comes to health care providers. I have recommended a number of my co-workers to his office, but be careful because he is in a group practice with his associates and like other people have already mentioned the front desk will try to get you to see one of the other dentists instead. Moved to the New York area a few months ago from Vienna, Va. Just went on my dentist's website who practices in Tysons Corner to make an appointment and noticed he has a yelp connection link on his home page so I figured it was way past time to recommend him. I still do business down in the DC area and will be seeing him for my routine cleaning appointment in 1 month. I still plan on seeing him whenever I am down there. He has helped me so much over the years to improve my smile , as well as my wife's smile. I have been coming to Dr. Ellenbogen since I was 9 years old and always felt comfortable with him being my dentist. I have always been bothered by my teeth with large spaces between them and stained from an antibiotic Dr. Ellenbogen said I took as a child. Well for my early graduation present from high school Dr. Ellenbogen closed up those spaces and than proceeded to do 20 porcelain veneers on my teeth.
