I have driven by this place a million times on my way to my parents house in Owatonna, MN... I had visited 11 years ago with a sales rep I had traveled with... Decided to give this another a week ago with my sister and it did not disappoint! Firstly, for a random Thursday at 5:30pm it was packed!! You walk in abd the atmosphere is so great! Very modern with a supper club flair (you can get pull tabs!) . I ordered a salad because I wasn't overly hungry but the coconut shrimp we had was AMAZING!! And the fries WOW! I think I found a good spot to meet up with family in the future!!!

My husband and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner out for our wedding anniversary. We reserved a table online, and when we got there we were sat right away. They brought out a complimentary relish tray. The pickles were delicious and made in house! We enjoyed some cocktails (a pineapple doli and smoked old fashioned), along with an order of freshly made popovers with honey butter. The star of the entire night was the oyster rockefeller. We don't have a lot of seafood options in the area like I was used to on the coast, but these definitely were it! Sooo good. I highly recommend them if you like something similar to charbroiled oysters. For my main entree I ordered the drunken coconut shrimp which were also amazing, served with a side of sweet pineapple habanero marmalade. My husband ordered pan seared halibut, sauteed wild mushroom risotto, lemon basil beurre blanc, grilled asparagus and fresh shaved parmesan. We finished off the night and shared a warm brownie sundae for dessert. It was a wonderful evening spent together then we sat by the fire pit outside for a few minutes! Next time I'd like to try the lobster roll. I hope to go back for brunch sometime soon with our son since I seen they offer that as well. Gary's is great spot to have close by to us in the south of the metro.

Gary's has a great happy hour and one of the more fun patios in the suburbs. The short rib nachos, Cajun steak bites, and cocktails are all worth ordering -- the smoked old fashioned in particular was excellent. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich, though, missed the mark. The bun was soggy and the chicken came out dry. Overall, still a solid spot for drinks, apps, and patio hangs, especially in the south metro. Service is good but can be slow.

Crab and Spinach dip was amazing!

Definitely will go back! I had the lobster bisque and it was awesome. Very relaxing vibe! Our server was attentive.

Shrimp pasta dish- my nephew and sister both enjoyed this!

Let's jump in! Plenty of parking and this place is right off highway 35! The hostess and server were both very friendly and personable! The kind of service you would expect at a nicer restaurant! The vibes: This place feels upscale and is definitely a gem of Lakeville! This would be a great place to have a date! The food: Highly recommend the steak (filet) was absolute perfection! The crème brûlée also stuck out as a winner! We were not fans of the bread pudding, as you could still taste the alcohol and the popovers were over done with "honey butter" that had very little flavor. Overall, I would recommend this place!

Always great . We loved the salads to the sandwiches. Always stop our way home from the cities . The food is always well prepared. The service is good . And the vibe is old school steak house with the lobster tanks as you walk in. I love the French onion though I'd like more onions imo. Don't sleep on this pace but quality comes with a few extra dollars . We'll always be back .

Ok, I've chatted with a lot of friends and found out they haven't been to Gary's Supper Club! If I lived closer to Lakeville, I would go more often! This was my 3rd or 4th time here and it always impresses. Make sure to make a reservation or you will have to wait/ might not get in. I went for my birthday a couple years ago, then Mother's Day brunch with my mom and MIL and then just for fun since I was nearby. It keeps getting better. We started with cheese curds and they also had a complimentary "relish" tray with homemade sweet pickles, nut mixture and gummy bears. How cute! Love this all! My go to entree has been the Halibut, but it was a little different this time with risotto... I decided to order something different! The Tuna Nicoise since I noticed it on the menu and needed some greens. I haven't had this salad for years and a restaurant near me took off their menu. If you have never had one and enjoy tuna (beautifully prepared - I trust their seafood) and also enjoy green beans, potatoes, hard boiled egg, olives and a vinaigrette. Crave-worthy and fresh! My other half got the Cajun chicken pasta which has been a staple on their menu. It was a hearty portion and he even took some home! We took home the key lime cheesecake (sorry... forgot to take pics) and it was decent sized/ circular and creamy/ not too tart. I would get again. Oh yeah... I dunno how they make their dirty Grey Goose martinis soo good and filthy (I asked for it extra olive juice and shaken longer- smoother) but it's my favorite place to get them at! Blue cheese creamy and they go down easy. My boo got a seasonal apple old fashioned. I told him I was thinking spring and not fall/winter, so this wasn't my favorite. Haha Overall, you should all go to Gary's! Maybe even try one of their holiday brunches and don't miss out on their cheesey potatoes and lobster Benedict! I'm sure it wouldn't take much for me to talk my family into going for brunch again soon! Thanks Gary for the amazing consistency in your food and the love you share.

Empty water glass. Plates picked up but lots of garbage left behind.

Popovers were good and hot. Not sure what the relish try is that others write about. Our table did not have a relish try. Wine glasses were cloudy. I ordered the lobster and it was the chewiest and stringiest lobster I've ever tried to eat. Not a very large lobster tail. It was so chewy that I ate both sides of the split tail one bite each. I ordered it boiled and when I picked it up it drained and incredibly large amount of water. The baked potato was not warm enough to melt the butter. Water glasses were never filled. The table was a mess and not attended to as we ate. My guest had the salmon Oscar and said it was good.

Visiting in town for a wedding, but also had a birthday to celebrate. This was a great choice! We were able to get same day reservations on a Friday night for 6 people at 5:30. The restaurant was packed! Our servers were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Our party ordered a variety of dishes: Lobster roll (good, but a bit plain), medium rare prime rib (yum), jambalaya (hard to believe, but as good as if ordered in New Orleans), medium rare New York strip (a little more on the rare side, but tender and flavorful), beef short rib stroganoff (very good, but too many mushrooms for my taste) and chicken cordon bleu (another winner). The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but we enjoyed the food and the casual, supper club ambiance. Our daughter made a great choice for her out of state family birthday dinner!

Deep fried fish for Friday fish fry. Comes with side of coleslaw and tons of delicious fries cooked to perfection!!

Made a reservation for a Sunday at 9:30 AM and they had the table all set with waters already poured when we walked in and menus at each chair for our party of 6. Waitress was very attentive and did get all of our orders correct and was pleasant. The atmosphere was great with lovely lighting and candles on each table as well. The French toast was delicious and had extra caramel to dunk every piece into which was delightful. My son had the loaded pancakes and said they did taste good but maybe a little bit too much chocolate as it was more of a chocolate melt vs chips. Would recommend for large and smaller groups. Portion size has been perfect every time I have ventured here.

This supper club is one of our favorites. Nestled just south of the Twin Cities, right off I35, Gary's Supper Club is one of our family favorites that we've dined at several times over the years. It's what I consider a Midwest supper club, but with a speak easy feel, boasting a beautiful bar and cozy dining room. The open kitchen design allows you to see the grill lineup, and prompt service has never been an issue. We've eaten our way through their menu, but always favor their steaks. A fresh glass of water and a platter of snacks come before a server greets us. We love their little boards of complementary, pre-dinner snacks; gummy bears, pickles and mixed nuts, it's exactly the snack that excites the palette before a big meal. Mile 88 Red Wine: we had two bottles of this for our last trip, and we loved the wine. Their cocktail menu is extensive, and everyone found a drink they enjoyed. Filet Mignon: cuts like butter, thick cut and super tender, and the 8oz portion is just right. Coupled with a green vegetable and potato choice, this meal is heavenly for the lean steak diner. NY Strip: typically my go-to choice here, I love the seasoning and the 12oz cut is always cooked exactly to temp. I don't love their waxy, slightly bland green beans, and usually opt for broccoli or asparagus. And I sure love me a butter and sour cream baked potato, with salt and pepper. Mmmnnnnn. Ribeye: I've had this one as well, and it's delicious. Lovely marbled fat, a nice and thick cut, juicy and tender, and always seasoned just right. What I love about all their steaks is that they're simply seasoned; no heavy gravy or sauce, just a light seasoning to accent the cut's own flavors. This is a heavenly 14oz's of succulent cow, no mooes about it. Potato Au Gratin: cheesy potatoes are so good, I usually stay away from these simply because I eat too much and then I'm stuffed before I dig into my meal. Coconut Shrimp App: these large, coconut and panko crusted shrimp, pre-marinated in coconut rum, come with a tropically side of pineapple marmalade. One shrimp is just enough, so you can save room for their melty cheese curds! This app makes me want to be on a beach, with a pina colada in one hand and a book in the other. Beer-battered Cheese Curds: we get an order every time, large enough to share, and always piping hot. We love that the breeding isn't crumbly but, instead, a smooth batter that lets us enjoy the Ellsworth cheese. Yummy! Lobster Tail: I've gotten this a few times and it's always good, served with clarified butter and a lemon wedge. Caesar Salad: one of the better Caesar dressings around, this is a clean and simple salad. And we love it, so many gross Caesar salads out there in the world! Side of Mushrooms: I did not love these, not because they weren't a beautiful pile of perfectly sautéed mushrooms but because I cannot stand truffle oil and tasted a hint of. I should've asked, as more and more places use truffle oils nowadays. If it wasn't for the truffle oil, I would've devoured this side dish. Cheesecake & Creme Brûlée: loved the cheesecake, the crème brûlée was just so so. We also love their bread pudding and brunch time cinnamon roll. we've eaten ourselves through their menus and keep coming back! Their breakfast french toasts and eggs benedicts are also exquisite. Basically, we love it all here. If you're around the Minneapolis area, especially if you're heading north on I35, make yourselves a reservation and enjoy a beautiful meal at Gary's Supper Club in Lakeville! -- at Gary's Supper Club.

There was plenty of space to find parking in the lot. We met up with some friends for dinner. My order was good. My friends order was messed up twice, but she didn't say anything about the second time because she was hungry and everyone was almost done with their meals by the time hers arrived. The server was friendly.

And while the crowd might trend older, these people have aged gracefully, maintaining a sense of cool. The story behind Crooners is fantastic. A former teacher, the woman owner made money building health facilities. She fell in love with a piano man on a cruise and built Crooners as a testament to her loving spouse. Sadly, her husband passed away before Crooners came to fruition. Her philanthropic work for developing countries and the indigent is well documented. She has a big heart. This was our first time at Crooners, and to test the waters, we drove up the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend to enjoy a R & B lounge singer in the free Maggie's Piano Lounge. While the sightlines at Maggie's are ridiculous (it's used as a holding pen for the bigger venues, and the patrons coming and going block your view), we had a great time. Dave, the vigilant and hard-working manager for all of Crooners, also acts as publicist, and was kind enough to show us the other venues. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Marci was our server, and she covers the rooms like a safety on a football field. How she knows when everyone is ready for another drink, to order, or for the check is magical. The food was good, and the menu covers all tastes. We enjoyed Crooners and will return when the performer matches our taste. Knowing what to expect helps. The Minneapolis metro area is fortunate to have a music venue that caters to music lovers outside the mainstream. Go and support Crooners. You'll enjoy yourself.
