Our group came for restaurant week. The Hot Honey Shrimp Bowl was very good and I would happily order again. Our group of 6 all ordered different entrees including a wrap, pasta and a salad. We come to legends often with family for dinner! They are able to hold both large and small parties. Our group is typically 8 or 9 people and they are great about accommodating. There is a kids menu and a great variety for the regular menu. Everything from seafood, burgers, handhelds, pizzas, pasta, short ribs, the list goes on! The interior is well decorated, has a bar, and has a fireplace located in the middle of the room. During warmer months they open the back patio for outdoor seating and some nights even have live music. We always have a great time and enjoy the food + service! The views of the course and sunset are great. They invest in landscaping and their clubhouse. It's all great. I'm worried that the more people know about the Legends, the more difficult it will be to get in. Reservations are good idea. Hint: start with the thai chicken wings. You won't be sorry, I promise. Taking part in Twin Cities Restaurant Week. Legends Club Grill was close to home and somewhere new to try. We started with cheese curds and took advantage of restaurant week wine $10 discount and ordered a bottle of Prosecco. I opted for the restaurant week special and chose the Apple Gouda salad, pork chop with veggies and au gratin potatoes, and an oatmeal cookie with sea salt caramel ice cream for dessert. Everything was good. We also had prime rib, fish and chips, walleye, and steak chili at our table. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Since I had my own dessert, the rest of the table shared the chocolate chip cookie skillet. Our recommendation is that the cookies in the desserts were served warmer but that certainly didn't stop us from enjoying them. It was fun to try something new. Tables were social distanced. Staff was masked. Parking was easy. Reservations were made online and we were seated immediately. Our service was excellent! read more

We had a great time at this restaurant. The restaurant has a cozy lodge feel. Although the restaurant is small, we did not feel crowded in at all. The spacious tables and chairs make you feel relaxed and welcome. The server took our order right away. The food came very quickly. The server checked on us once, but we did have to ask for water frequently throughout the meal. It turned out they were down a server that evening, so trying to flag down a server was tough throughout the night. The food was very delicious. The mahi-mahi meal was juicy and tasty. We asked for a little more sauce and salsa. The meal was flavorful. The Korean stirfry dish was ok, but it left something to be desired. The spicy sauce is what really makes the meal. The other ingredients did not have much flavor in and of themselves. The coconut rice was nice though being cooked in coconut milk. Our daughter had the grilled cheese sandwich and fries, which she enjoyed. The fries are actually hand cut and prepared well. Definitely not crazy McDonald's fries that you get elsewhere. The fries had a crisp outer texture with plenty of flavor. My mom had the fish and chips, which was served on a small tray table for presentation. There was plenty of food there for her. For dessert, we had the strawberry lemon cake, which was amazing and its flavor and presentation. The flourless chocolate cake left something to be desired, as it was pretty dry and did not have much flavor. The portion sizes were large, but not overwhelming. We tried Legends last night because we're exploring suburban restaurants lately. I'm sad that we've lived in the South metro for 3 years and are only just now discovering it. I had sort of low expectations as golf courses aren't always the best ambiance and the food is typically bar fare. First off, the place was hopping on a 100 degree Wednesday night. We had reservations at 7:00 but were a little early and they seated us right away. Our server was outstanding and super knowledgeable. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the fish tacos. Good walleye is surprisingly hard to find and both of us had excellent cuts of fish and mine was breaded perfectly. My husband didn't love the fish tacos but only because he's a little particular but he said the fish was awesome and the ingredients were really fresh. They had half priced bottles of wine on Wednesday, which we were able to cork and take with us. The restaurant got even busier as we were there and it was nice to see. The views are amazing. We will totally be back because the menu is excellent and we really enjoyed our dinner last night. read more

First time here, so maybe a fluke, but let's start with the positives first. Beautiful location, very nice patio, and the food we had was pretty good. Loved the fried green beans, and good guacamole. The cheese curds were fine, but tiny and nothing really to write home about to be honest. Had the Thai Chopped Peanut salad for dinner and it was mostly a very sharp Asian dressing on it which kind of overwhelmed the salad and other ingredients a bit, but the quality of the ingredients was very good. Others in our party had the Salmon (very good) and the Steak salad which was terrific. Overall, the atmosphere and food was great. The part that ruined the experience was the service. Extremely disorganized servers (forgot things multiple times including one person not only not getting her drink but her food as well - and they were ordered at different times). The guy busing the table was terrible about interrupting and kept trying to take food that was still almost full, but then left two dirty little plates. We finally gave up and let him just take it. We wondered if he was hungry and hoped he could eat off it in the back maybe? Honestly, it felt like it was their first day as a server/buser and those who read my reviews know I don't review too harshly, but Mgmt definitely needs to do some shadowing and training here. Nice enough in terms of service so there is that, but extremely awkward in several instances and just not at all the level one would expect from an establishment like this. We actually just looked at each other and laughed at one point. So...that's it. Decent food and menu choices, very nice atmosphere, but challenged service. Might just be that server and buser though so I would maybe try it again because sometimes things happen. read more

This was the second time I've been there where it felt like you had to have a special "club card" to receive good service. This place is pretty close to home & I stopped after getting a great job offer & wanted to celebrate. I sat at the bar... even though I was by myself I wanted drinks and food... getting served was like pulling teeth even though it wasn't busy. I literally couldn't get the bartender to take my order, even after I asked for a menu & held it up a couple of times. The second time, was better, but still not great. read more

Gorgeous course and I love that it is "upscale public" but doesn't feel snooty at all! We had dinner at the Legends Club Grill. The service was wonderful and our overall experience was fantastic. I had a lovely glass of Greg Norman wine and my boyfriend had one of the best Manhattan's he has ever had. I had the bucatini pasta with shrimp and he had a steak salad. Both were large portions and beautifully plated. The tomatoes in my pasta were so fresh delicious. The steak in the salad just melted in your mouth! We also shared a cup of the steak and potato soup which was amazing! After dinner we walked through the Pro Shop and the gentleman working was super friendly. They have a great selection of shoes and clothing, including Vineyard Vines! We look forward to coming back and enjoying more! read more

This is a great place to eat all week, and it's quieter on Sundays. They have a great do you that overlooks the golf course. The staff here is very nice and friendly. They also host events up to 250 people, great for a wedding. The manager always stops by our table and asks how things are. Very nice golf course as well. They serve great coffee which is a huge plus! read more
