The experience was nothing short of amazing. The technology was cutting-edge, and the staff was incredibly hospitable and professional. The General Manager offered solid advice to help improve my swing - thanks, young man. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. Despite being 45 minutes away, I'll be purchasing a package and visiting every couple of weeks. The technology, value, staff, and overall vibe are unbeatable. Enjoy your time there!

The building is nostalgic and reminds me of country clubs I stayed at in New York State. The beautiful wood, the grand staircase, and the royal-colored decor took you back to the gilded age. Outside my bedroom window stood two magnolia trees with gorgeous blossoms. The room size was generous, and every morning a continental breakfast consisting of juice and pastries were available only steps away from my door. We enjoyed lunch by the golf course and walked the beautiful grounds. The club rules are reasonable, in my opinion - no denim, shirts must have collars, etc. Perhaps the most difficult rule to follow and remember was the cell phone rule - they aren't allowed. Frankly, not being enslaved to my phone was quite lovely. After a few hours of not using it, I didn't miss it. Also, not being able to use my phone to take photos or chat is the reason I didn't take pictures inside of the facility. I respected the rules. I did take a few photos of the front entrance, though. One of my family members had a reception and birthday party in the ballroom while I was there, hence my reason for staying. It was fabulous! The food, the cocktails, wine, and service were spectacular. From the swing music the band played to the yesteryear atmosphere and attire, this was one of the most memorable weekends I've had in quite some time.

Long version: The first time I needed to adjust the lie angle on my irons a few degrees. He was very friendly and professional at the time. He insisted on doing a lie angle board and I went along with it even though I knew what adjustment I needed. In retrospect I should have been more insistent, so I'll take responsibility for that, but he likes to stick to his process. The adjustment was much stronger than I planned on getting. After using my clubs for a few weeks, it felt off, so I ended up going back to him to get the adjustment I originally wanted. He was cool about it and made the adjustment. He charged less this time around - he actually hesitated charging at all. After building a rapport I planned on being a repeat customer. So several weeks later, I reached out to him about adjusting the loft on a single iron. I told him it wasn't urgent. We arrange a time to meet - all seemed ok. When I get there he starts doing the adjustment and the tone shifts. He starts telling me about how I'm wasting his time with this loft change and how other customers asking for small adjustments are wasting his time. He's dropping F bombs and coming across really hostile. Keep in mind, this is a paid service and didn't ask for this as a favor. 5 minute non-urgent job for $10. I was completely taken off guard. I found myself in a position verbally defending this adjustment that *I was paying for*. I couldn't believe this guy was mad about getting work requests directly related to his club repair business. He also could have turned down the job before we both went through the trouble of meeting. I was very explicit on what the adjustment request was. Bizarre. I've read other reviews about similar outbusts and I totally understand now. Based on the reviews, he can be really great or really angry. I've seen both sides after 3 visits and after that uncomfortable encounter I don't think it's worth the unpredictable volatility.

I came in needing a full "head-to-toe" setup for winter sports, and Brandon provided the kind of elite, professional service that is rare to find. His technical knowledge of snowboards, skis, and bindings is extensive; he doesn't just know the specs, he understands how the gear actually performs on the mountain. What really stood out, however, was his approach. He took the time to listen to my specific needs and concerns, making me feel both seen and heard throughout the process. I walked out (after 2.5 hours that flew by) not only with the right equipment but with the confidence I needed to get back out there. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, I'd recommend Brandon C. to anyone. He's a true professional who knows his craft inside and out. Thank you again Brandon C and SB and NIN.

The reality is that rude, dismissive customer service drives people away. Customers can tolerate mistakes. Customers can tolerate policy issues. What people do not tolerate is being treated as though they are an inconvenience when they walk into a store prepared to spend money. I spent nearly 50 minutes looking for replacement shoes after following the instructions given by your staff. I returned to the counter and was met with an attitude that made the entire experience feel unnecessarily unpleasant. That kind of interaction leaves a much bigger impression than any return policy ever could. You should seriously consider the long-term impact of allowing employees to interact with customers in this way. One negative interaction may seem small in the moment, but over time those experiences absolutely cost business. People remember how they were treated. I can say with certainty that experiences like this make customers question where they want to spend their money in the future. If I have to choose between dealing with rude and dismissive interactions versus shopping somewhere that values customer service and basic professionalism, the decision becomes very easy. I think your management team should understand that poor customer interactions do not simply create one unhappy customer -- they create people who share those experiences with family, friends, coworkers, and others making decisions about where to shop.

However, it is completely playable, actually it's pretty fun working your ball around the place on a course set up next to the Pacific where you'd expect to have gusts so a two club breeze is just that... completely acceptable. Love his place and would play it every week, green fee's are not offensive either when you consider what neighbors down the road on the Monterey Peninsula are charging these days. Spanish bay remodel is rumored to be over$650.00 PP when completed. I'm sorry but as a local, I'd rather play HMB hands down, save the cash and commute headache and you should too!

She walked us through every detail, offered thoughtful suggestions, and stayed fully engaged all the way to the night of the event. On the day itself, Angela and DJ Andrew truly saved the day. We were running an hour behind schedule, but they kept everything moving smoothly and made sure our guests were welcomed and entertained. Because of them, the party flowed beautifully and no one even noticed the delay. Our guests had a wonderful time, and most importantly, my daughter was overjoyed with how her celebration turned out. The venue was beautiful, the service was outstanding, the food was great! Fairview Metropolitan delivered an unforgettable experience, and Angela's support made all the difference. Fairview Metropolitan is an excellent choice for any special event. Highly recommended.

My husband and I regret having our wedding here. I waited months to write this review in hopes that…read moremy anger would subside but I just get more upset the more I think about how poorly this team handled our wedding. I will preface by saying we were refunded a small portion of what we paid due to the numerous errors made by Fairview Metropolitan. We had around 5 meetings here for wedding planning. Each time, the venue tent was so eloquently set up for the weddings or quinces hours in advance. I had so much confidence that our wedding would be treated the same, but it was sloppily thrown together in less than an hour. This venue had another event before our 5pm wedding. I had never seen two events on any of the days that we went in, and was not told that this would happen on our wedding day. It wouldn't have been a problem, I understand they are a business and prioritize profit, however the event before us was still occupying the tent when I got there at 4pm. The manager Shelley told me that they "could not get them to leave". My husband and guests state that the previous event finally vacated the tent around 4:05pm, leaving the team with 55 minutes to sloppily throw together our ceremony and banquet. Shelley informed me that there were three sick calls that day, leaving the management to do the set up. They completely misnumbered the tables, leaving all of our immediate family sitting in the back row. It was THEIR seating chart. With everything going on, we didn't notice until dinner had started. This error is absolutely inexcusable from a wedding venue. Since they only had less than an hour to set up our for our event, my husband and groomsmen offered to help tie the ~135 chair ties and had to stand on a ladder to help place the drapes on the ceremony awning. I don't see how the staff could have completed this without my party's help. Our guests had to wait in the cafe because nothing, including the ceremony chairs, was set up for our wedding until after 4pm. The cafe has limited seating and we had 134 guests. I had so much trust that this team would treat my wedding how I've seen them treat other weddings and quinces. If I had known this was all going on, I would have gone to facilitate and double check their inadequate work. Other major issues: 1. The food service started late and ran out and ended early. We were told there would be enough food for seconds for everyone, so we decided not to bring a lechon and lumpia. Huge mistake. Being from Asian and Hispanic backgrounds, we were completely embarrassed that the food ran out. There was not even enough bread for seconds. We even had 5 no shows so there's no excuse. 2. There were not enough appetizers. Many of our guests did not get any. 3. Our guests were told that the bar could not provide shots. That was not in our contract and alternatives were not offered. 4. The top layer of our cake was saved when it should have been served. This was in our plan, and it just went to waste rather than enjoyed by our guests. 5. They were understaffed by 3, however no one stayed over to accommodate for that. The management left before 8. Because the seating chart got completely misnumbered, there were tables without settings. Our friends had to SHARE FORKS because they could not find any staff. 6. There was no staff to guide our photographers to the banquet room as stated in the event order paperwork. They had to sit on the floor in the corner. So embarrassing 7. The manager didn't allow my husband to set up our DIY Photo Booth, breaking the contract because we should have been able to start setting up at 4. They even told us the day before that we could go at 3:30. This left us without our photo out even set up. My husband had to set it up during the wedding and we didn't have our backdrop. The good things about the venue: 1. Dog friendly 2. Trish was a great coordinator, I wish she could have managed the set up for our wedding instead of Shelley and Angela. My family said that they wouldn't even let her in to set up either and said she looked like the only person who actually care about our wedding. 3. The cake, dj, and flowers were great While the management's response was apologetic, there were so many excuses including "they're human and make mistakes". I understand this, but the numerous significant errors made on our wedding day felt almost intentional. I think the fraction of a refund was just to get me to stop complaining and not escalate the matter. Considering we paid for the elite package for 126 adults and 8 kids in July (most expensive package with highest facility fees), I thought we would've been treated at least as well as the other events that we saw. Fairview Metropolitan fell so short of how I've personally seen them perform and caused us so much embarrassment and shame on from our wedding day. I could never recommend it to anyone. I would say so much more if there wasn't a character limit. Huge thumbs down.
