I got the inspection done today and the experience was great. Jay, one of the owners, welcomed me to the shop, very friendly. I sat in the waiting area after they started the inspection. There was another customer there and we started chatting. He couldn't praise the guys there enough. This other customer and I started lamenting how a lot of businesses don't provide the same customer experience we were use to from when we were younger (yes, bunch of old guys lamenting the world is going to...) and he said J&J is one of the exceptions. Jay showed me some additional concerns on my car...brake and tire wear. He showed me the problem areas and said I have some time left but these expenses are coming down the pike. It was refreshing to see this sales approach...I was aware he was upselling the other services they offer and I was totally happy with that...that's what all businesses must do. It was the approach, education, and showing me why the repairs would be needed that convinced me that when I need the work to be done, I will go to Jay and his team. Well done guys and keep it up! PS: they have the cutest wall of kids pictures that puts a smile on your face.

Mark -a total stranger to me- returned my call and explained exactly what was happening considering contextual variables that I was able to provide and brought down my anxiety and helped me decide whether to take the car on the family vacation without a Turbo rushed job. I would definitely recommend making an appointment instead of just dropping in as they are extremely busy. Everyone was very helpful while I was there. Parking is limited. You just have to triple park and run into the office if you want to speak to the receptionist. Overall, very good experience and I would recommend.

Was shouted at over the phone when I called to ask for an update on the car I had dropped off. Was told he wouldn't work on it and to have it towed away to another shop citing that there were "too many cars in line" "people are always calling and interrupting me while I'm working". When picking up the car I tried to explain that I was only calling because of the timeline they gave me and the owner shouted at me threatened to fight me in the office?! Honestly, it seemed like he was having a nervous breakdown, so yeah, wouldn't recommend. Pretty insane way to treat customers.

The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so. Yes, I'm a genius. We're from Illinois and pulled in HP Auto at 4:30 needing help securing the bent awning so we could drive home. I was at his mercy. In about 45 minutes he got it all secured. This is the good part; he could have charged me $450-$500. That's about what I expected. but no, he thought about it and charged me $89. Mike, you saved the day for me! You're a Saint!
