I started with them on recommendation from my sister, and never needed to go anywhere else. Now, I do have to say that it isn't a bright and shiny place. If you want serious ambience with your car service, this won't be your place. It's also located in an alley where it's hard to maneuver and the pavement sucks. However...I have to say that Tom and Tom Jr. are THE single most honest people I've ever encountered in the auto service business! So often when little strange things have gone wrong with my vehicle, they've found a way to repair it using some little part they locate in the garage, and don't even charge me for it. Also, they are definitely "Vehicle Whisperers"--if I tell them what is happening with the vehicle {even in that weird way we women have of saying 'it's making a clunk sound', or 'when I turn left, it goes chook-oo, chook-oo, boing'}, they seem to be able to figure it right out. You have to make an appointment as they're always busy { they are THAT GOOD!}. Just try them; I'm pretty sure you'll never go anywhere else.

Dropped his car off and they call to say he needs new back brakes and rotors. My son being in college, decided he would put them on with his dad to save some money. When he picked up the car, he asked when he could bring it back to be re-inspected and the guy said he was booked for the next 3 weeks. In other words, because he wasn't making money, he would not re-do the inspection. Charged my son $50 for nothing, didn't even put an emission sticker on. The car is only 2 years old. I prefer going to a mechanic who doesn't want to take advantage of a college kid.

They were able to help me the next morning and the estimate was under the other locations we called. I asked them to take a peek at the blower and AC unit as well while they were poking around. They were called me to explain that the sensor was no problem but a minimum of 2 parts of the AC unit needed replaced, and if we wanted that fixed ever... they'd need to be done no matter what, which was expected. Long story short, they fixed everything and more for a price we felt was very fair based on other estimated we had received. The quote from the dealership for the AC unit was almost triple what we ended up with btw...

I had two vehicle taken in for inspection and alignment,…read more Both of the vehicle passed inspection and had alignment when it shouldn't have had either done Because when I looked at the vehicles myself after having shop do it, I discovered one of the vehicle had torn control arm bushings (should not pass inspection and had alignment done because it will need to be redone) Other vehicle had cracked lower control arm bracket and missing rear leaf spring bracket welds (should not have passed inspection) also the rear leaf spring bushings were shot. After they did alignment on this other vehicle, the upper front control arm fasteners came loose causing clunking feeling and losing alignment, the shop refused to do repair without charge but did the alignment under warranty, when I inspected the fastener, it was obvious they overtorqued it because the washers were bent inward, causing it to later lose its torque and come loose. When I replaced the fastener and took it in for free alignment, I told them to not over torque it. Yet they did anyways as I can see the washer is bent inward, the lock washer was squeezed out of shape. Matt at the shop claims inspection was all good and alignment was in specs, but failed to notice worn bushings, cracked bracket. They will not issue refund without taking a look at it but their next appointment is 2 weeks away, so now I have vehicles that's unsafe to drive. Waste of time and money. This shop does not care about your vehicles or your safety, 3 incorrect alignment, 2 incorrect passed inspection, they just want your money. If you need a shop that does inspection with blindfold, and proceeds alignment without repairing damaged components affecting alignment. This is the shop for you.
