We had a water heater that went out and needed to be replaced. A young man named Jeff showed up the next day and I had hot water by the afternoon. Update: Allison called to make things right and they sent out Jeff, a senior tech, to do the work. Gave a 5% discount for my time. Had to beg for time off work to meet these folks for an appointment I waited three weeks for. Waited 5 1/2 hours and they never turned up. Finally a tech calls when it's pitch black out and he wants to come by and do this outside work in the dark. Yeah, no!! Probably the next scam was pay after hours pricing. This company is a joke. Gas plumbing services called back about two weeks later and apolo for the snafu. They returned the overcharge and, as a way of making things right again, sent me a letter I could use next time for a free service. I feel that, even though things became a mess, they more than made up for the trouble. As I said before we had a long business relationship that I always felt was professional and competent. He did an awesome job repairing, cleaning, and inspecting my gas fireplace. he was pleasant and very informative to the work he was doing. He made sure he cleaned up after himself, and was a very bright young man who is an asset to the company. The world needs more young men like him. Way to go, Anthony!! read more

We had service for our pool gas heater as well as our gas fireplace on 8/4/23. The pool heater was easily fixed. The gas fireplace pilot light was out and we wanted it relit to stay on which he did so we thought. No sooner did the tech leave our home, the pilot light went out. I called the office and she had him come right back and the same thing happened. When we called back again, the lady said she would reschedule it and call back. She never did. Today, 8/7/23, my husband called back to say what was going on and we were following up what happened on Friday. There was no rush to come back but we were not going to pay for a service call but would be happy to pay for any parts that were needed. He was informed that there would be charged another $110 service charge because the tech lit the pilot light. The job was not complete as it would not stay lit and after the immediate second visit, why didn't the tech see if there was another issue with it. Total UNACCEPTABLE customer service. Needless to say, we will no longer be doing business with this company read more

I shopped around and i thought i got the best price for a 40 gallon natural gas hot water heater installed from this company but soon found out why it was a lower price. I am not a plumber nor an expert but i did do some research on hot water heaters and what i saw that is available at the big box stores were all up to date units with high ratings for energy savings. I assumed i would get something similar to what i saw based on the estimate i was given, but that did not happen. I guess i should have asked specifically what they were bringing me but due to the urgent need i didn't get a chance to and unfortunately found out too late upon returning home the day of the install when it was completed and had replaced my 22 year old unit with a unit no better than what i had previously. Perhaps the office could have discussed the options with me or informed me as well so i mostly blame them for that lack of communication. Apparently their supplier still sells what is called "Classic" hot water heaters. In other words "old style non efficient ones". Ugh. My wife was home during the install but knew nothing about this kind of stuff. To top off my aggravation they damaged the washing machine and sink drain lines in the process of the install which i found out later when i found puddles of water again in the garage. Truthfully the new unit was too big to fit in place of the old one so they just forced it in between the wall and the drain lines causing the line to rupture from the pressure of from the wall of the heater. Any good plumber would have changed the drain line configuration to avoid this but they just forged ahead doing damage.The technicians left the work area filthy muddy, with cut off zip ties, pipe insulation, tape all over the work area floor and left behind standing water with no regard for any pride in their work or respect for my property. I called their so called emergency after hours number to report the broken pipe but to no response the entire night. The moral of this story is as simple as you get what you pay for and nowadays maybe not even that. The days of pride and respect for workmanship and your property are gone forever. I would not recommend Gas Plumbing Services to anyone after this terrible experience. read more

Horrible customer service. Asked to see our gas heater which was Proffesionaly installed. Turned off gas to 3 rental units without allowing us to first have it checked by other service companies. We asked how they would like us to have it vented (gas hot water heater is only a couple of years old and completely serviceable) and were told no venting and we would have to get a new hot water heater from them for over $1550.00 after "rebate". This was total distortion. We called Advanced Air, a licensed contractor who agreed to vent our hot water heater that was agreed to be serviceable for a third of the price. Would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

So I was needing a new hot water in my house to replace my 28-year-old one. I called all over the place getting quotes. Gas Plumbing Services, Inc. was great to work with I got a price and put it in with the others. My wife and I decided to go with them and set up a date for them to come out. They came out 30 mins early (Big point with me) and got to work. The yfound out there was an issue with the exhaust pipe going outside. So instead of hitting me up for more money they just told me about it and fixed it. When they were done the area was cleaned and the work looked great! Can't say enough good things about this company. They work with FPU, so when I needed my hot water heater replaced, that's who was recommended to me. Of course I had to do comparison shopping, but it turned out they offered the best price by several hundred dollars. They were fast, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and neat. They even offered to fix my furnace at the same time for a very nominal fee. A local competitor was going to charge me more than triple the price.
