I called, and the person I spoke with was extremely rude. She is unable to say, yet she gave me illogical responses. She refused to let me ask questions and kept repeating things like, "Call my insurance," when I requested for more precise information. I informed her that the doctor's invoices would contain specifics when I received them, but all I had been given was a provider name. She wasn't answering my questions and wouldn't even let me ask them. She started yelling at me, and I followed suit out of frustration that she wouldn't even permit me to ask? She also is unable to provide me the specifics of why I am receiving the bill. All I needed were specifics so that I could verify this is legitimate and learn what service I was provided so that I could make a payment. Please stay away!

I was born with some health issues and have anxiety issues that regularly needed care so I had the pleasure (? lol) of getting treatment often. Shortly after moving to Maine, I got COVID which turned into long COVID, which left me with permanent health issues needing my PCP to refer me out to different specialists. Because of the health issues, I've also had to visit the ER and even have emergency surgery. This hospital is about a 30 min drive (going Maine's speed limits and no traffic). I have never met nicer people than the ones that work here. Yes, EVERYONE, has an off day but the most I've seen of someone having an off day is they aren't chatty but hyper focused on the task at hand - which is perfectly fine by me. The ER staff are phenomenal. Cardiology, Neurology and the PCPs are all incredibly- can't forget Urgent Care!! Also great and convenient. They are up-to-date on not common health issues and incredibly knowledgeable. The surgical team - holy moly. They banished my anxiety pre-surgery by just being human. They answered questions, smiled and joked with me, kept my husband up to date with everything and did an amazing job. I'd prefer to never need surgery again, but I'm glad to know that if I do - I am in incredible hands.

I barely sat down when Nurse Kara called me into a room. She was efficient and caring. She did a Covid test and said it would be an hour for the results. I sat back down in the waiting room and she called me in 30 minutes later with a positive result. She said the doctor would be in shortly, and she was! Dr Lew was a delight! Extremely kind and helpful. She prescribed Paxlovid and called the script into the hospital pharmacy. When we arrived there, the staff was working on our insurance to determine the medication cost. The lady listened and then told me that I could not be serviced as they 'aren't taking anymore walk-in's' I thought that when you ingest chemicals that it was important, but I guess urgent cares are allowed to turn you away for that. If you ingest chemicals make sure you know they 'aren't accepting walk-in's'.
