The large bags of nuts, popcorn and candy are hard to pass up and especially around the holidays with the unique Advent calendars and candies you used to only find at Grandma's house. The Drive-thru is super convenient and I've taken advantage of the online ordering/ drive thru enough times to say that every single pickup is friendly and efficient. No more having to lug big bags of things or large items through the store when they will load it in your car for you! I'm happy Farm & Fleet is so close to my work and close enough to home that I can shop here frequently to take advantage of the low prices on things I need (and those things I don't really need too!).

There is a beverage cart. There are a few port-a-potties on the course but by home ten, an actual bathroom! The course was quite backed up when went. We were waiting on people areas of us at each hole and had people waiting behind us. If you don't have a parks discount card, I highly recommend getting one!

If you're playing from the white tees, the par 3s are a bit long and challenging, but overall, the course isn't too hard. Many of the greens were kind of small, but the par 4s were generally pretty short. If you're looking to get use out of long irons, this is not the course for you. Great for wedge practice though. The greens were soft and receptive, I just wish more people would have the courtesy to repair their pitch marks. The course itself is near the lake, and it's very pretty. My only complaints are the lack of cart paths, divots and pitch marks are plentiful throughout the fairways and greens, and the water drainage is pretty typical of the Milwaukee courses. We had to clean our balls after every shot, mud tracks from carts were pretty common through the fairways. I'd imagine on dryer weeks, this course would've been even better. Out of the regulation, executive, and par 3 courses, I'd say this one is my favorite. You'd have to check out the championship courses to find one better, in my opinion (big fan of Oakwood Park). TLDR: if you want to play on a fun course that isn't just for longer hitters in a pretty setting without breaking the bank, this course checks those boxes.

The greens are always in fantastic condition, and the entire property is truly a hidden treasure. But what really sets Woodland apart is the people. Every time I stop in to grab my cart key, I'm greeted by Angel. She is genuinely one of the highlights of coming to this course. She works incredibly hard, always has a smile on her face, and makes everyone feel welcome. On our most recent visit, we decided to add another nine holes. The weather took a turn, and I was debating whether to play because I was so cold. Angel actually offered me her jacket. That kind of kindness and hospitality is rare these days, and Woodland is lucky to have her. (And as a bonus, she makes an amazing Bloody Mary!) Both my husband and I found a couple of beautiful vintage bicycles for reasonable prices. And, the food folks of South Shore Cyclery tuned them up for us. We also purchased our bike rack here, which they were kind enough to step outside and show us how to install. Truly, what a great group of folks. They have both new and used bicycles and all the accessories you could possibly want. We got bells and I got a basket. Get to it for all your cycling wants and needs.
