Aside from that unfortunate situation, the course was fun to play and we enjoyed the air conditioned club house for lunch after. The spicy chicken sandwich special was good, but avoid the BLT. There was hardly any bacon on it so it didn't satisfy my BLT craving.

Sometimes they give you a ticket to take to the hut next to the mini-golf course, and you check in and get your putter there. Otherwise they give you the putter and scorecard in the pro shop. I've also used the driving range a few times. You walk into the pro shop to buy whichever size bucket of balls works for you, and head out to the range. The pro shop has what you would expect, and often offers fittings with specific club manufacturers. Check them out!

Every time I stop in to grab my cart key, I'm greeted by Angel. She is genuinely one of the highlights of coming to this course. She works incredibly hard, always has a smile on her face, and makes everyone feel welcome. On our most recent visit, we decided to add another nine holes. The weather took a turn, and I was debating whether to play because I was so cold. Angel actually offered me her jacket. That kind of kindness and hospitality is rare these days, and Woodland is lucky to have her. (And as a bonus, she makes an amazing Bloody Mary!) I understand the fact that some of the holes couldn't be mowed due to the recent rains but it doesn't appear that any of the course has seen the lawn mower or a weed wacker recently. Our group lost a bunch of balls that were hit near or on the fairway. Hopefully changes are coming as we sure did like coming here over the years.
