He explained everything to me and was not trying to pull a fast one considering I know nothing about garage doors. He gave me options and recommendations and provided me a great price. They did just pack up and leave without talking with us. Whenever we realized they were done the door didn't open. This wasn't my case at all with Allied. To start off, quick turn around! Called yesterday to get my keypad reprogrammed when my dog poop scooper caused the key pad to lock out. The guy legit stood at my gate for 5 mins putting in the wrong code causing it to lock out thinking an intruder was trying to gain access to the property. Allied came out first thing today and got me reprogrammed. They also adjusted the gate to close properly. They saw that the motor had pulled away from the gate causing problems. They were able to weld it on the spot. Everything was done for an amazing price! Very honest and transparent. Thanks to AD and Abraham. Would definitely use again.

He replaced the battery at a cost of approximately $300. The very next day, the gate stopped working again. He came the next day and conveniently claimed that the main control board had been damaged by a power surge and told me it needed to be replaced at an additional cost of about $750. To make matters worse, he failed to arrive at the the time I was given. As a result, he left without programming the remote control and the keypad. Later, I was told that, for legal reasons, he was not authorized to perform the programming. At no point before the appointment was I informed of this restriction. Had I been told in advance, I would have made sure someone was present. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. I have paid significant amounts of money, and the communication and customer service have been unacceptable.

Professionalism: the lady they have working in their office could probably do with some customer service etiquette training. The service person also cancelled 3x before coming out to fix the gate with no explanation of service charges or an estimate before finishing the work. I told my mom going forward please get everything in writing from all people providing services, but I believe most professionals would give you a break down of services to be rendered so you don't get charged 314 dollars for changing the batteries in an automatic gate. We got charged for a service call, labor, and parts. Usually you only get charged for a service charge if you decide not to go forward with the work. Communication: my mom had to get in touch with the lady in their office several times in order to get a quote with part numbers and weirdly the numbers on the verbal and email estimates kept changing, leading us to believe they're not really charging based on anything written down. I think it's super unprofessional to not follow up with an invoice or estimate rendered but that's our fault for chasing them down, we should have just left it alone. Accusation: I overheard the woman on the phone say that my mom didn't want to pay the bill we were given and my mom explained the service person didn't take payment at the time of service like other people in other industries have done. The woman argued with my mom about the bill when my mom asked if she was going make changes to the invoice and send her an updated invoice. My mom explained the service person gave her nothing but the carbon for the 314 dollar estimate. I feel that this situation was very confusing with poor communication and service and a lack of professionalism and poise on the company representatives part. I understand that everyone has bad days and if the owner would like to chat about our experience I am happy to discuss it with him or her but I currently do not recommend this company as I feel they didn't hit the level of service the other reviews had left. I read reviews religiously and look at them as opportunities for business owners to know what's happening in their business, but I don't leave them without serious consideration.
