I have used Payless for 15 or more years for all of our homes. My first Realtor who recommended them said she would never use anyone else. Excellent pricing, absolutely professional staff, fast response. We recently moved within Katy to a new home. I was telling my new neighbor that my garage door had just fallen off a rail and he suggested I call Payless. I laughed and told him I had just done exactly that and had used them for many years. Every person I have ever recommended Payless to loves them. They do the job right the first time and always stand behind their work. After speaking to two other companies. Garage door doctor who hung up on me and another company that makes you pay a trip charge and gave me a high estimate over the phone, I decided to call Payless All Points Garage Door. I first spoke to Marcos who was as very nice and told me no charge to go over and give me an estimate to fix the garage gate. I then I met up with Edgar at my rental home to talk to him about what needed to be done. It turns out it made more sense to replace the whole garage due to its age of 20 years. Edgar was very nice, professional and did a great job! I was happy to get it delivered done so quickly! I highly recommend this company and will definitely call them back to replace my garage gate at my home in the future. I will recommend them to all my friends read more

This business does not honor its 30 day warranty. A 30 day warranty is for 30 days. IF it is not then say the exception AT the time of the INITIAL service. The tech, Osmin serviced the garage door. All that was needed was for it to be oiled at the appropriate areas. Osmin tightened the chain. I called back so that it could be made a bit loose bc chains must have some give. Osmin was curt & rude told me it would void the warranty which I do not see how it would?? Osmin made no changes to the chain and miraculously the warranty was reinstalled. I still was not comfortable with what transpired so I called again the following day. This time a "new" tech a Marcos came by. He too was rude and griped the entire time. I left him alone & returned with him suspiciously tightening bolts or screws which did not need any tightening. The aforementioned should of been made known to me by Marcos. This business is unethical & unscrupulous with their 30 day warranty AND in being in one's garage unattended/alone. To the secretary,Marcos& Osmin. The "family", Yes, your business is a mom & pop's establishment. The way you treated & acted with me says a lot about you as persons and men in addition it demonstrates the manner that you handle your business. The "men" were intimidating and appeared misogynistic. There is a GOD. HE will make the enemies pay for bringing on the difficulty this I am sure of. Payless installed the door and agreed to come back and remove the springs long enough for the guys to install the wallboard behind the brackets on the rails. When Payless was contacted to return, they conveniently couldn't find our account. We provided the installers name, Edgar, and the date of installation. Payless now wanted 175 dollars. Clearly, Payless has no integrity. I won't be using them again. read more

I am uncertain as to the previous bad reviews, as I have nothing but good things to day about this company and their service staff! I needed to have my entire door replaced (including rails, cables, springs, pins,etc.) asap. I called the shop, spoke to a very helpful woman who took my order for a new door and stated that an installation technician would be at my house the next day. Within hours, she called back and said that there was an opening that afternoon, and would I be available. Within hours, I had a new door! Everything went smoothly and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Give them a chance, I did. read more

I have used Payless Garage Doors now for three times. The first two times here good. Both times had the springs replaced and the staff was friendly and easy to work with. As well as well priced. This last time, I had my garage door come off the tracks. It was a bad situation as I could not leave the house with it in this condition. So I called and they sent someone over. The individual that came was Marcos. He assessed the damage and told me it was very bad and that it was a big job and would take lots of time to fix. He quoted $300. After his assessment and my predicament I asked if there was a warranty or new tracks included. He responded with "You will be able to close it". I asked him to go ahead. I made sure he had soda and water and left to pick up my kids. I returned about 30 minutes later and the job was done. Marcos said it was fine now and showed me it would close. When I asked him how much to replace the tracks he said $250 and an hour and a half labor. So about $100 in parts. I then asked why was this job $300 and only took you 30 minutes and you used no new parts. He said, cause I agreed to the price. While I did consent, he made the description of the job out to be much bigger than it was. I feel he was ver deceptive and took advantage of me based on my situation. He also told me I had stuff in the way blocking him from doing the job. So I guess he could have done it in 15-20 minutes? Either way Marcos took the money. I told him I would never use them again if he was going to charge $300 for 30 mins if labor. As he left I had to chase him for a receipt. He did give one, but wrote his summary of events and justifications for charging what I call "excessive". The reasons were "garage door hanging in a very bad way and customer had a lot of stuff in the garage". After Marcos left the garage door went up and would not close again. After I tried calling him back to actually fix it, he would not reply. I had to call out another company who charged $100 to finish the job. I know I consented to the price. But that was based on Marcos' deceptive assessment of the damages. I am not a garage door professional so he took advantage of that. I highly recommend you use another company. read more

This is the second time I have had this company do some work for me. The first time was just to replace the springs on my garage door. This second time I had a little accident and needed to replace the whole door setup. I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and punctuality of their technician Edgar. When he said he would be there at a specific time he was there for us and his estimated time of completion was spot on. I feel their prices are very fair for work that is very demanding. Like the review from the customer said. Awful! Marcos came out on 3/31/2017 to replace 2 broken springs, he talked so good about the company that he has in Katy and will be here not going anywhere, take credit card, can write check to the company name, all just liar. When he finished the job, I told him I would write the check to the company name. Marcos refused to and insisted that he want to make it out to his personal name. I did not like this business that he is doing, but I write it to his name anyway. He did not have the parts for the track and told me that he would come back the next day 4/1/17 at 1pm. No call, no show. I called him to come on Monday and he told me he can come on Monday 1-3pm. I waited and wasted the whole day, Marcos did not even call me that he can't come by. I called him at 4:57pm and ask him why he did not come or even bother to call me, his respond was he schedule was book up can't come until tomorrow at 4pm. I can't trust him at that point now. I told him that I had already fixed up the bend in the garage door and just need to replace the track, he told me that if I am not doing it together, I need to call another garage door guy to do it, and he knew that I have an inspection done at the property the next day. Marcos really screw me up. Please do not use this horrible company even though it is located in the heart of Katy, you will be the next victim, run run away as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Awful...just awful from start to finish. Failed to honor original scheduled appointment time. No one bothered to call or to notify us that the tech was not going to arrive on time. I discovered this fact when I called. When I told them to cancel the appointment and that I would find another service, I received a call back indicating someone was on his way and would arrive in 30 minutes. Serviced was performed on 6/05/14 by Marcos. Went away for 4th of July holiday and returned home 7/06/14 and discovered repaired cable was broken. Called Payless on Monday 7/07/14 to report the problem. I was told someone would call me back in 60 to 90 minutes. No one did. I called Payless again this morning7/08/14 and as was informed someone would arrived between 11 and 12. Same tech as previous arrived. The first thing he said was that he did not replace the cable. When we pointed out that the receipt said he did he said "oh". Next he said that it was two days past 30 day warranty. He grudgingly made the repair that certainly should have lasted more than 30 days. I of course would never do business with these folks ever again. I thought I would invest the time to help the next unsuspecting victim. read more
