As a parent who invested more than 10 years with multiple children at SACS, I cannot recommend the school today primarily for three reasons. First, tuition has increased significantly in recent years, yet the quality of education has not kept pace. While there are still pockets of excellent teachers who truly love their students and inspire them, these are the exception rather than the rule. For the tuition and additional fees being charged, the academics and overall experience simply do not measure up. Second, the administration is inconsistent, plays favorites and encourages gender discrimination. Certain families and students receive preferential treatment, while others are held to a different standard. Additionally, certain events are marketed based on gender, intentionally excluding the opposite gender. Instead of upholding fairness, the administration regularly chooses self preservation, politics and favoritism. Third, SACS does not partner with parents. Although the school claims it values collaboration, the reality is when parents raise legitimate concerns or attempt to hold leadership accountable, they are quickly silenced. There has been incidents of misconduct by staff towards students as well as sexual harassment claims against a high level administrative staff member, and in all circumstances, claims have been swept under the rug. Staff members that challenge decisions are fired. Families who question decisions or speak out are often placed on a "blacklist". Families, including those with children in good academic and behavioral standing, are prevented from re-enrolling or denied readmission. The message is clear: conform and be silent or get out. In short, SACS today reflects hypocrisy rather than true Christian values. The school promotes itself as providing a faith-based, high-quality education, but the reality is very different. Tuition is too high for what families actually receive, the environment is political and unfair, and the administration does not respect parents as partners in their children's education. If you are considering enrolling your child at SACS, my advice is to look elsewhere. Save your money for a school that offers genuine Christian values, quality academics, integrity, and displays respect for both students and their families.

Hear No Evil*See No Evil*Speak No Evil Hood said he planned on being there a long time, but he's apparently gone already, as so many before him. Could've seen that coming from a million miles away. By the way, Cornerstone had my first review taken down, as I now suspect many other critical reviews have been. Cornerstone has had some amazing people, Mr Harrison, Mr Puente, Mrs Puente (God rest her soul), Mr Hudspeth, Mr Sessions, Coach Navarrete, Mrs Ruvalcaba, and others, but the administration changes constantly! The big secret is, untouchable families, who do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want; many are athletes and staff from the church and school. Shouldn't be that way, but we experienced it over & over. So, we left. Many others have left for the same reasons. A friend living near the school took their kids out because the administration wouldn't deal with the untouchables harassing their child who's on the spectrum. They told us 3 other families -on-their-street- left also. Cornerstone should be training up a righteous generation, but instead they're just coddling untouchables. Sad... Change must come from the top. We can only hope & pray.

I will say, I have had to bring certain things to admin's attention like needing more frequent diaper changes to prevent diaper rash and although I wasn't pleased I had to say this I was extremely happy to see that my complaint and solutions were accepted with smiles and the situation was resolved quickly and I haven't had issues since. I can say Admin and teachers truly want your baby to be happy here and are willing to not only listen to your concerns and feedback but take action to correct things on their end. And yes, I'm a helicopter mom and it's very obvious and they don't judge (at least not to my face lol)

Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I could take back all the time, patience and effort I put in to try and make it a good experience for her. This place not only has high turnover, high student to teacher ratio, it seems like it also sells you this false belief of superior education from the Montessori brand. So maybe you think that justifies a large monthly fee (nevermind their holidays and staff days), and well it's the best of the best it must be worth it. Wrong. Surely the staff must go through more than your typical cpr/first aid 24 hour training? No. Nothing special here. It's all branding. I tried being patient and understanding, but ultimately my reasons for pulling my child was her safety and well being. They don't have their furniture anchored on walls and so they have bookshelves in the middle of class. Well, you probably assumed some kid got hurt. Yep. Another kiddo pushed the bookcase on to my child, falling over on her fingers. Even after that they didn't want to prevent that from happening again because they technically didn't have to, is what they said, but it wasn't enough seeing a kid actually get hurt to make them think otherwise. I had to really complain to make them do something. Another incident was a child attacking my child outside and not responding to teachers telling them to stop. Did my kid's teacher see this incident? No. Another teacher did. They had the parents pick that kid up. Another time, I go to pick up my kid and once I buckle her in the car I notice she had a busted lip, and they didn't have me sign the usual incident report. Teacher didn't see it or even notice it. (You'll see this as a pattern.). The culmination was the same kid attacking my kid again, this time on her face, and did her teacher see it? No. Another teacher did. Let me mention that this incident would not have happened had they followed their own policy, (which is not having more than one classroom outside at a time) and had competent staff (there were 4 kids to 2 teachers in her class that day and it took a teacher from a different class to see it and stop it.) They had the parents come and cut the other kids nails but didn't separate them from my kid. All this goes without mentioning my kid constantly being sick and them doing a poor job cleaning and changing her diaper. I had spoken to the director and staff about my daughter's health condition, which requires frequent diaper changes or she is at risk of an infection that can affect her kidneys. One time I pick her up and she has a diaper full of poop. I complain. Within the same week, after picking her up, I get home to change her and notice particles of poop because they didn't clean her well. I send an email to all involved about it, but then my daughter had to be hospitalized because, you guessed it, she got an infection. Maybe you can take this knowledge and go to a daycare that's more affordable and will probably give you the same experience. At least your wallet will thank you. All I can say is now my daughter is thriving at home because she isn't getting hurt or sick. She is developing better because I actually interact with her, unlike a time when I saw on camera her teacher completely ignore her when an activity was set up, and no effort was made to bring my daughter over to learn. Do yourself, your sanity, and your wallet a favor and don't go here. Don't buy into all the influencer romanticizing Montessori aesthetics. All they do is say their script,"oh we apologize...we understand...", but there is no change. There is no striving to be better, to stay on the ball. Their words are empty of proactive action, or any action at all. The previous posts and pictures are dated, and those people aren't there anymore. So anything that was said before being nice is no longer applicable.

He went to the summer school in 2019 and frankly learned more that summer than he did in the entire year before. He feels accepted, and acknowledged, and the administrators, teachers and staff do an incredible job promoting children that learn differently. This was a life changer. I went from a child that cried to go to school, to a child that adores his school, and can't wait to go. In the words of my son, "mommy, Winston isn't is my school,it's my family" So grateful!

From the fact that they test your student at the beginning of the school year after being out for summer and expecting them to be where they were the previous year. Just so they can then separate your student from their grade level and mix them with lower class students. That I find demoralizing to the student and telling them YES you are dumb. When in fact all it is is that "you learn different". Any other school can do a way better job then this school. This is just an over priced school for your child to not grow. No wonder they feel dumb because the school is sticking them with the lower grade level and it's seen. They have no academic plan for your students growth because "every student is different" in other words they will not make that personal plan to help your child grow. If your child is excelling out of the class they're in the school will not say anything. My daughter was so bored in her classes and not challenged enough. I spoke up to the school and they moved her to a higher level class and what would you know she continued to excel in her studies. Your child has a better chance at a public school and getting better help than here at Winston. Your child will not grow at a progressive rate as you will expect to happen. The athletics department is a joke as well so I hope your child is not an athlete. All 3 years that my daughter had to attend here not once did the Volleyball team nor basketball team win a game. The AD Mr. Borth just goes through the motions of what's needed but is also a very rude person. His wife Mrs. Borth told my child along with a group of other girls to get it together because they were upset and she had a tour to give in a few minutes. Yes this happed today 05/19/2022 so again this is not the school you want your child to go too. It's not worth the college tuition they charge along with everything thing else they will charge you. Find you a school that will benefit your child's educational growth. If you can tough it out IDEA is a real good structural school. Even specific private schools around the area. Do your research and don't fall for all the smiles. Ask questions, know who's certified to teach because as you know private school teachers don't have to be certified.

Nearly every student in the high school is there because they either get bullied everywhere else or the only other place for them to go is alternative school. Our son is thriving under the care of Ms. Roasa, a loving, structured, and incredibly responsive teacher who goes above and beyond to communicate with parents and challenge every student to reach their full potential. Her dedication to both academic and personal growth is inspiring. The entire school reflects this same level of excellence. The administrators are highly qualified, supportive, and effective in their roles. There is a clear structure across the campus that emphasizes discipline and respect--lessons that may be tough for young children at first, but are handled with such care and consistency by the staff that they become second nature over time. Both students and parents are held to high standards, which is something I find incredibly refreshing in today's educational landscape. Compared to our experience in a traditional public school district, the difference has been night and day. At previous schools, we often saw a lack of discipline and respect, and far too quickly, some students were labeled or given diagnoses to explain behavior rather than working to understand and improve the root cause. At Founders, it's clear that they invest in every child's growth in a meaningful way. Since transitioning to Founders, we've seen remarkable changes in our son--improved grades, better self-control, increased responsibility, and a newfound sense of discipline. The curriculum is high-level, even at the lower grade levels, and challenges students in all the right ways. Unlike many public schools that "teach to the test," Founders builds its lessons thoughtfully, ensuring students not only succeed on standardized tests but also gain a deeper, richer understanding of material that's often overlooked elsewhere. I'm amazed at the things my young son comes home having learned--topics I never encountered until much later in school. The campus itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the classrooms are purposefully arranged to support focused and effective learning. It's clear that every aspect of the school--from the physical environment to the academic approach--is designed to help children succeed. I can't recommend Founders Academy of Schertz highly enough. However, once in middle school, things drastically changed. If you have a perfect, we'll-behaved child that is organized, this school is perfect. However, the middle school teachers have a sense of entitlement and are not willing to work with parents. They never call parents to discuss anything positive about their child. They are very punitive and expect parents to not question anything. Teachers are supported by not only the principal, but the "so called" priest. We had a teacher refuse to meet with us about my child's misconduct and she was supported be the principal AND the "so called" priest". Wish I could go more into details because there is so much to say. We will finish out my son's 7th & 8th grade years not BECAUSE of the school, teachers, admin, or "so called" priest, but inspite of them.
