If I could give zero stars, I would. Below this is basically the email I sent them and never got a…read moreresponse. We pulled our infant out after he was enrolled a couple of weeks and attended a total of 4 days. Just for full disclosure I did include the teachers' names in the email but will not post their names here publicly. The facility is beautiful it's unfortunate the care was a pretty bad experience, especially the no response to the email we sent them addressing it all. It's pretty disheartening. Day one  I did not feel the infant teachers really wanted much information when I was dropping my child off and were not very friendly which was disappointing since it was his first day and a friendly interaction would of helped put me at ease. I explained his feeding times and the importance of them. It was disregarded, and he went 3 plus hours without a bottle. I had to call the front desk and advise someone it was time for him to eat in order for him to get his bottle. Day two My son was given the wrong pacifier, which I noticed on the camera, and was brought to your attention. This was a huge issue for me due to the fact I had provided them with a pacifier case with his name on it so unaware how a tan colored pacifier ended up in his cubby that had flowers on it.  I also noticed little to no interaction with him throughout that day with the teacher. This was concerning.  Day three On this date, my son was given a total amount of 6 ounces of milk from 10a-5pm. He was also given carrots and oatmeal, which I was told he spit up, and therefore, the teacher advised she would focus on bottles since they had more nutritious value. That obviously did not happen. ( I can provide the screenshots) When I arrived, the teacher stated, " Today he had a bad day." He cried all day and was inconsolable. She stated they would calm him down and he would cry all over again, and they had no idea why. She stated he also spit up all day. I asked multiple times why she did not call me, and she did not have an answer.  I asked when was the last time he ate, and she stated she did not know and that the other teacher didn't tell her. Which obviously is not the answer you want when someone is supposed to care for your infant. She then said, "As you can see, it has been a crazy day and pointed to all the crying infants." Again, it's not something you want to hear as a parent who pays $292 a week for care for an infant. She was able to locate his feeding on the tablet and stated he had 2 ounces of milk at 11:30 am. and 4.5 ounces of milk at 2:12 pm. I immediately told her that was unacceptable. He typically eats 5-6 ounces every 2-2.5 hours, which would equal around 18 ounces of milk.  I saw 3 different teachers there eating from small bowls. So they were not worried about themselves missing a meal, but an infant who can only communicate his need through crying was left hungry.  When we left that day, he had a wet diaper, snotty nose, and was missing a sock. I had messaged throughout the day on the app to please wipe his nose and was told they would. I also have screenshots of that conversation.  Day four This was his last day there. The teacher apologized to me about not being on top of feeding , and I accepted her apology, but it does not negate the fact that not feeding an infant is a huge negligence of a daycare facility. I advised her that if she ever thought maybe he was crying all day because he was hungry. That would be a clue, in my opinion, but it was not something they thought about.  I also am concerned that I had to fill out tons of paperwork asking about my child's needs and schedules/routines yet it does not appear the teachers reviewed this based on the interaction they had with him.  I switched to this daycare, having very high expectations based on what was told to me and what I read in the handbook. I did not see any work done with my child while he was there that would meet the criteria of any objectives of learning for an infant. I watched the camera the majority of the time, and all I saw was my child alone on the floor while teachers stepped over him or literally threw a toy at him. Unacceptable.  I am bringing up all this information in the hopes that changes will be made for future infants that attend Kiddie Academy. Again, all of these concerns are huge issues, not small mistakes. I am disappointed and actually upset to know I left my child in the care of Kiddie Academy, and the teachers failed to meet his basic needs.  I have continued to pay for services not provided due to the fact that it is part of the contract and have still kept up with meeting the requirements of the daycare by ensuring I put in a 2 week notice.  I do believe it is unreasonable to have expectations from parents when the same is not given in return from the facility

His coaches are always so enthusiastic, encouraging, fun, and friendly! My son has grown so much in his confidence, determination, strategizing, and socializing. Each class is unique which is great because it's always a new challenge for the kids. We love the award ceremony after every class, every kid looks forward to it and cheer the other kids on! We get daily updates in pictures on the kid strong parent app which is awesome. Our older child wants to come to class here too after watching how much fun her little brother has. These classes are definitely worth the price we pay.

He's successfully started pre-k for the 2024-2025 school year an Castroville Elementary and is on track to have a fantastic year, thanks to Ms. Kathy. Ms. Kathy has the right balance of learning while doing/self exploration and individual and group structured learning plus the all important outdoor play for fresh air and exercise and refocus. Ms. Kathy's students are her number one priority and she works to make sure each child remains unique and is celebrated for what they bring to the school. I loved that she wasn't afraid to let me know when my grandson was having a rough day and we worked together to help him grow emotionally. She never gave up on him, believed in him and is truly a blessing.

The morning teachers always helped with what was, at first, a difficult transition with the youngest child. Before long it became pick up that was difficult because they were having so much fun. My 4 year old is even reading already and I partly credit the teachers with that! I love that they offer the A-Beka curriculum; additionally they offer Spanish and music lessons. As if that weren't enough to keep the kids busy, they also have a dance school, STEM based education classes, and a gymnastic bus that goes to the Reed Rd location once a week all at prices that don't break the bank. As parents it is important to us to have our kids at a place that is more than just a daycare, we want to make sure they are learning at every opportunity and with our busy schedules I like that they can do gymnastics at school. The learning environment, teachers, and staff are exceptional. Our kids are well cared for, feed, and educated. We are so happy we found The Pillars and I am thankful every day that they take such great care of our little ones.

Our experience at this facility was a nightmare of financial exploitation, alarming safety negligence, and profound inconsistency. We paid a non-refundable $150 registration fee three months in advance to hold a spot for our two-year-old daughter. After this three-month waitlist, she was permitted to attend for less than six full days (she was dismissed just 2 hours into her sixth day). In total, we paid over $650 for this minimal care, only to be abruptly left without childcare. The billing issues were relentless and unethical. We were unjustly charged an annual curriculum fee of $185. When questioned about this for a child who barely attended, they refused to waive the full amount, reducing it only to $50. This clearly shows their priority is collecting maximum fees, not providing fair service. When trying to work out these discrepancies, we were repeatedly cited 'policy' and told there was nothing they could do. We were instructed to contact Cyndi, the Executive Director. We emailed her and never received a response. Upon following up, the admin staff claimed Cyndi was on vacation and would get back to us, but she never did. The very next communication we received was a collections call demanding an additional $50 for an outstanding tuition balance, specifically for a day our daughter wasn't even able to attend since she'd already been dismissed. This call came with an explicit threat to send the bill to a collection agency and impact our credit. This is egregious. Their stated reason for dismissal was 'safety concerns,' a claim that directly contradicted a conversation we had with our daughter's teacher just the Friday before. The teacher explicitly reassured us that our daughter's behavior was typical for a two-year-old and that she had seen 'worse children eventually thrive.' Our daughter was not even given the opportunity to adjust or grow, despite this assessment. This is especially frustrating given that she thrived for over a year at Children's Lighthouse of Alamo Ranch (same franchise, different owner), with no similar issues or an excessive number of reports. Beyond our personal ordeal and the unfair charges, we observed a critical and alarming safety hazard at the Potranco location: the playground is situated directly adjacent to the parking lot with only a thin fence and absolutely no bollards separating the play area from moving vehicles. I attached pictures of this flimsy barrier, which has already been struck by a vehicle. This deeply concerning lack of protection is eerily similar to the tragic incident at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool near Fair Oaks Ranch this past January, where a child died due to a comparable setup. While the teachers at CLH Potranco seemed genuinely friendly, it's clear they are visibly overworked. The administrative staff at the front desk consistently appear disengaged and unhelpful, offering no support or solutions regarding our daughter's situation or the egregious billing discrepancies. This facility's readiness to dismiss a toddler for subjective 'safety concerns' while neglecting a glaring, objective safety risk for all children, coupled with their predatory billing practices, refusal to communicate, and passing accounts to collections with credit threats... it's truly beyond frustrating.

Tuition was lower than the previous daycare. The staff always have a smile on their faces and seem excited to be with the kids. Our child has learned a lot, made lots of friends, and always looks forward to school! The only thing I miss from the last daycare is that we received more updates throughout the day, like if my child ate all of her food and if they went potty successfully. The other daycare also had cameras streaming. Lighthouse does but it's paid separately.

I get pictures or videos of my little guy from her almost daily, if not more frequently, and daily reports about all of the important stuff. She got him on a schedule, and almost immediately he began sleeping through the night. My son gets really excited when he sees her every morning. Danielle makes every effort to get to know her parents and she knows the idiosyncrasies of her kiddos. She is less of a daycare provider and more of an integral part of our parenting team.
