I used to go there years ago, and they were not very well run. I blame lawyers. Ad a non-profit,…read moretheir legal dept is horrid. Lawyers and for-profit big pharma are the death of adequate health care. Basically those two entities will conspire to make the logical treatment illegal and impossible, or the doctor loses malpractice insurance and can't practice. But they're literally forced to administer opiates and other options (in the past more than now) and 2nd or 3rd opinions will have to agree. When I first went there years ago, life and health were not foremost in concerns. Being a rehab, they were only concerned with protocol... and people were dying as a result. Many died. Finally the field has loosened up a little bit so that doctors can save lives. They can actually practice and do what they think is necessary to help that person live and thrive, without regulatory agencies and big pharma calling the shots, and the fate of patients desperate to get help. I lost my wife at that time. She had been to several places, asked for help and was never treated in the way she thought was necessary. There are many people to blame. And it consoles me little to know that things have changed. But for the sake of all of us still alive, it's nice to know it has. My wife woukd have gotten better care in jail, incidentally... which I had considered. Thanks to these folks and others that helped fix this. You can find her work as a singer, out there as "Dolly and the Moon drops". She was a star.

I…read morehad basically given up hope that I could ever be free from dependency until I met Dr Taca. His approach and most of all his compassion is exactly what I needed. I came to trust and respect his entire team ... Jaime, Rick, Jordan and Hannah all helped me in different and needed ways. Ashley was with me from the first day to the last & I would follow her off a cliff. This is a special group of people and I feel so lucky to have found them. I will never forget the miracle they performed on me and I urge anyone struggling to reach out to them. The value is fantastic compared to any other program I've taken part in or looked in to. I never felt judged or uncomfortable, which given my past, is another miracle. If you want to get clean, they can help you get there !
