Always a nice ambiance. Server was excellent. Food, well, I ordered a featured special, seafood…read morepasta that was below expectations. Watery sauce, not terrible but lacking any significant flavors. Server realized I didn't like the dish and I insisted everything was okay, but she insisted on taking it away and replacing with something else. Second straight visit with food quality issues but we will be back to try again. Not giving up on the place yet.

It was an interesting experience to say the least. When we walked in the parking lot didn't look overly busy. When we walked in there were several groups waiting to get seated ahead of us. There was a host that was telling the two people ahead of us it would be over an hour wait and to try elsewhere. The lady said there was a huge party and half of their staff called off. We decided to stick around anyway to see if we would get seated. Thankfully, one of the owners came by and asked if we had been helped. She offered us a spot in the pub area, we just had to wait 5 minutes. The pub area looks like something out of my childhood. It was a bit dated, but I think that was the general theme of the restaurant. Kind of reminded me of an old golf clubhouse. Once we were sat in the pub area young man helped us from behind the bar. He was by himself with quite a few tables, but he was very prompt and helpful. I ordered the strip steak that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also got their French onion soup to start. Our food came out fairly quick and everything was pretty darn delicious. I would say the initial interaction with the hostess was the biggest drawback for this experience. Maybe work on the customer service aspect of it. Our server for dinner was on point and the food was definitely worth the price. I would give it another shot, it was just an odd one.

Went here for the first time with my daughters. When it was time to pay, I wasn't given a printed…read morereceipt--just a handheld device. I tipped $15, only to later realize I was also charged an additional 18% gratuity. I don't have an issue with gratuity being added, but it should be clearly stated on the menu or disclosed up front. As I was leaving, I noticed a chalkboard near the door that said gratuity is added after 9:00 PM. It was only 8:30 PM, so I went back inside to question the charge. The waitress told me the gratuity was added because the bill was over $100. That policy was not posted anywhere on the menu or on the chalkboard. As a result, the server was tipped twice. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, and I will not be returning.

It was clean, the beer was nice and cold, and the potato skins were good, but after one round we left. No drink list, no specials, no happy hour. There was one server for the whole place and she was busy. She cashed us out, and not one of the three new servers on the next shift came around (not even looked at us) for us to get another round or asked if we wanted food. It smelled like weed, so after waiting 15 minutes with empty glasses and mugs, we left to go to the burger bar down the street. Disappointed.

This evening I ordered the following from DoorDash:…read more * Pasta Verdura (x1) * Side Caesar (x2) I very clearly stated to NOT place my cold salads on top of hot pasta in the bag. I have to state this because they always do this. When my order was delivered I received the Verdura and one House Salad, not my two Caesar Salads. In addition, the House Salad was on top of the hot pasta and was therefore hot as well. Furthermore, the pasta was swimming in sauce. I called the restaurant and spoke with a gentleman. I believe his name was James. I explained the errors to him. He did not apologize at all. In fact, he told me that I either did not enter the note appropriately, or it did not come through on their end. He said that he bagged up my order. He also said nothing about the salad screwups. I told him that putting cold salads on top of hot pasta is their common practice with my orders, he said nothing. I told him that I was bringing this to his attention so that they could improve this practice. Once again, no response. I said to him that not putting cold salads on top of hot pasta should be common sense. He replied with, "I'm not going to have this discussion with you. You can take it up with DoorDash. Well, I am going to take it up with DoorDash and Sauce just lost a frequent and loyal customer. If he bagged up my order he obviously did not check to ensure the order was accurate. His attitude sucked: no apology and blaming the customer. Disgraceful! P.S. No salad dressing with the House Salad.
