Before winning the Cup in 2019, the Blues had gone exactly 50 seasons without an NHL championship. In the Finals that year, St. Louis went the distance with Boston. The Blues edged the Bruins, four games to three, and won Game 7, 4-1, on the road at TD Garden in Boston. When you enter the stadium and view out towards the centerfield backdrop, you catch a glimpse of the city skyline and that's a homerun in and of itself! I never knew St. Louis had such a majestic skyline. I think of New York, Chicago and Seattle to name a few that really have statuesque skyscrapers and such. But here at Busch Stadium, everyone knows the "Gateway to the West" is the St. Louis Arch, and it towers in the distance as the primary focal point for a perfect setting. Then...you add the reliable fans into the entire equation (and their passion for their Cardinals), and St. Louis really is a first class baseball city. I visited in early spring and although the team was off to a disappointing start, even for a Memorial Day game against the cross-state rival Kansas City Royals, the attendance was 47,000 people, which is pretty much a sellout. I stopped at the box office looking to purchase a ticket the day of and there weren't many options to pick from. There were outfield bleachers for $50 or...I could buy a SRO ticket..."Standing Room Only" for $15. Briefly I thought in my head, ya know, why not take the SRO because it'll give me a chance to wander around the park at my leisure and not be committed to sitting for an entire game. And that's what I chose. For this SRO ticket, I could stand in any section wherever I wanted throughout the park, but of course, I chose the 400 level section down the 1st base line and it afforded me a beautiful scene of St. Louis' glorious backdrop. And these days with a Pitch Clock now included to speed up the pace of play, this Memorial Day game easily finished in under 3 hours. So, standing was no big deal. I'm surprised gates to Busch Stadium opened 2 hours prior to first pitch. Usually, it's 60 - 90 minutes. But, this gave me a chance to get in the best pictures possible without having to rush around and before the masses started filing in. Also, the Ballpark Village section just outside the park which hovers parallel to the outfield, was busy with activities, music, food and drinks offered. Another noticeable aspect were the amount of monuments dedicated to Hall of Fame players that have worn Cardinals uniforms. Players like...Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Ozzie Smith, and even a special tribute to commentator Jack Buck. You can find these statues at the front entrance. Some extra notes... I was able to buy a Cardinals Gameday Scorecard for $3 as a little keepsake from attending. I never tried any of the food while here but St. Louis is known for their fried ravioli. Lastly, I must again give credit to the fans. They are passionate and loyal, and no matter whether the Cards are winning or losing, it's the crowd that makes the atmosphere at Busch Stadium very lively. They were even starting a "wave" chant around the stadium during the 6th inning while the home team was losing. Fans are there to celebrate America's Ole Pastime and if the Cardinals win, it's an added bonus and everyone leaves happily. In the end, I have Busch Stadium ranked #4 best ballpark out of the 30 MLB teams. Congrats to St. Louis and their rich heritage celebrating Cardinals baseball!

Tickets: I drove downtown to the box office to save on the extra convenient fees that are automatically added if purchased online through ticket master. Service: This time around, they were two employees working. One was a lady, I wanted to wait for the older guy who was already helping someone, as he seemed very helpful in giving her insights. The lady decided to open up her window and called for the next customer. She was EXTREMELY RUDE! Almost turned me away! I ended up telling her that I will take some time to look on the website myself because she seemed as though she didn't want to be of help, and was rushing me to make a decision (no one was waiting behind me). I quickly browse the web and decided to wait for the older gentleman as I first intended to. I am glad I did. He was VERY Helpful! We got seats very close to the ice for very low cost! He also offered his recommendations! Event: We opted for the 11AM event, large turn out, but mostly longer children as to be expected for that time during school hours. Lots of lighting & stage effects being utilized which I love. However, this maybe not safe for someone who struggles with seizure disorders. Concession Stands: As you can imagine, plenty of vendors to get ALL of your money with all the Disney on Ice Sovereign. Food: We opted for quick bites and cotton candies. Plenty of junk food to choose from! Parking: Limited street parking available. Near by lots available for a fee. Closer ones cost more. We opted for one diagonal the venue for $20, I believe it was card only. Also, the metro link has a stop right next to the venue's location! I've opted for that option before to cut cost. They did an amazing job to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The nachos were good, but not great. The chips and cheese were very good. The meat was okay, but something was off with the meat in my opinion. It wasn't bad. It might have been the texture for me. The jalapeños were great. The portion size was huge. The refillable soda was huge. I thought I was going to get a refill. I couldn't even finish my Mellow Yellow soda. The only disappointing part it was the last game of the season. The bartender who served me was generous with her pour so I gave an additional tip. Downside: 1. Crowded as to be expected though. Upon arrival, there were long lines to enter the arena. Thought I'll missed a portion of the show arriving 1hr late, but nope. They were still trying to get people in. 2. The escalators, not many so feel like sardines trying to get onto one. I eventually opted to take the stairs thinking I'm "just going to the 300's sections." Boy I was wrong! If I remember correctly it was close to 6 flight of stairs! I was out of breath halfway lol. 3. Elevators are a few, and not easily located. If you are differently able, suggest that you arrive extremely early to avoid the crowd. I didn't have to use the restrooms, but while chatting to another concert goer she mentioned that the building is not frequently used, so it tends to experience maintenance issues on the night of shows. I didn't observe any of that. Lobby area and surroundings where clean. Similar to stadiums people place drinks on the ground and it gets knocked over, so you might have an unusual liquid running by you. Last time I was here was to see Beyonce in 2023 and also had a great experience. Definitely will return, but will try to arrive much earlier. I recommend taking public transportations or a ride share. If not, you'll probably be at a standstill when trying to leave. The metro link is a couple blocks away, easy walk (with the exception of a flight of stairs from the train tracks). On event nights, Metro (trains) runs on an extended schedule, so you don't have to worry about leaving the show early. Will say though, those trains can get packed. Especially when leaving the show. Tip (If you choose to watch the videos clips I uploaded, you might need to mute the others not currently listening to.

I understand that this stadium is still pretty new (construction completed in 2022), but it is 100% the nicest sports stadium I have ever been to. There are plenty of parking lots around, and while they are a little pricey ($30-45), they are a short walk from the stadium and can be reserved ahead of time thru ParkMobile to ensure you get a spot. Even better, if you don't wanna pay that much, there is a ton of street parking available if you're willing to arrive an hour or two before a game. Before you even enter, there's a nice area right outside with vendors selling food, drinks, and merch. Typically, there's a "block party" where you can listen to live music, socialize, eat/drink, and play some fun games for small prizes. They also have a cornhole area out front creating even more activities you can dive into pre-game. Entry into the stadium is quick & seamless, though still secure. Thanks to the amazing staff, the stadium is incredibly clean and feels brand new. There are a TON of local vendors offering food & drinks, and although they're a bit pricey, I have yet to try something I don't like. Balkan Treat Box is obviously a staple and 10/10 while the Tito's bar near section 140 had yummy vodka slushies that I would definitely get again. There's also a handful of places that allow you to pre-order food and drinks through the app which helps cut down on the time spent waiting in line (the lines can get pretty long). There are a few lounges on the corners of the stadium that look really nice, though I haven't explored them quite yet. My only gripe with the stadium is that the bathrooms are sometimes a little hidden, even when following signs, so despite there being many bathrooms some of them can be difficult to find. The fans are what really make this experience unique, though. I'd never been to a sports game where 99% of the fans have team gear on until I went to Energizer Park to see CITY play. The fans are super passionate and will really get into the game (as they should). Do note that there is a standing area on the North side of the park with a bunch of die-hard fans constantly waving flags & pounding drums, so if you're not into that then you may want to avoid that section of the park. But when the game starts it's like you're transported to a different world as everyone comes together and cheers for CITY via chants, drums, & flags. Overall, Energizer Park offers an incredibly clean & fun experience that's welcoming even to non-soccer fans. I would highly recommend catching a game as you will not be disappointed!
