Do not go to the dealership! The manager is so arrogant and ignorant. The sales staff could care less if they help you or not. Not knowledgeable about their product whatsoever. The dealership is dirty and very dated. Anytime you ask for information about the car that we were looking for they had to go into the back room and look it up on their computer. When a car dealer's website inventory shows vehicles with an MSRP with a red line through it, you're first thought usually isn't "Gee, I might be able to pay MORE than MSRP!" We're accustomed to that meaning that the selling price is negotiable DOWNWARD. Not so at Gateway Kia of Warrington. I understand that times are tough right now (Jan 2023), and that it's most definitely hard to find new cars at an earthbound price, but think about financing a car at over MSRP. Think about insuring a car for more than MSRP, and think about the fact that you'll lose that amount over MSRP (and more) the minute you drive the vehicle off the lot. But. It gets worse. After negotiating with a very pleasant sales associate, we got to that stage when the Sales Manager comes out. This man literally looked at the ground and shook his head side to side like I had just run over his dog. His behavior couldn't have been more offensive. I told him HE blew the deal, and out I went. Kia vehicles may be good. They may provide above average value, but I can tell you that I'll never own one. It would have been my first Kia, but Kia vehicles, and particularly this dealership are off the table permanently as far as potential choices for me. Bottom line: Shop elsewhere. read more

Laughable waste of time. Impressed to have found a thorough listing for an available car on their website: pictures, VIN, & sticker. Drove over an hour to see it and was told they didn't have it. Salesperson never looked at a list, book, or computer; said she walked the lot and couldn't find it, "maybe we never had it?" Left dumbfounded and followed up with a phone call. Person #2 said it was entirely possible for them not to know where a car is (?!), suggesting it could have been out for a test drive or "being serviced to investigate whether the new car smell that everyone loves, which is actually burnt rubber or plastic, was actually a leak"- and neither would have been recorded anywhere. So my car was stolen and then damaged in the rash of thefts. Of course it is a stressful time. Orders are backed up and my car was with Gateway for 2 months. My insurance company stopped my rental after 1 month. And so it's no one's fault but the thieves. But the service department has to call back when they say they will. They have to keep up all the correspondence with the insurance company. And that didn't always happen. Andy was okay and polite but not always communicative. Scott, whom I spoke to only twice was kurt and flippant. And sure, I can take sarcasm but not when Kia's poor decisions have cost me and countless others a ton of money, time and heartache. If I ask, "May I speak with Andy? Don't reply, "Nope!" And then wait until I say something. And then he was incredibly rude when the torrential downpour was causing a delay to pick up my car. So I couldn't get in by 5pm and had another day delay to get my car. Scott was just a jerk. It's a bad time for Kias and no one is asking for champagne and 100s of apologies but this whole experience was just made worst. read more

This place is a joke. After much online conversation with a salesperson, it was understood our financing and monthly payment needs, and all we had to do was come in and go over final details. Turns out it was all gimmick to get us in the door. After hours of traveling to the dealership and back and having to find a babysitter, it's clear they don't care nor respect the time of potential customers. It was a waste of time, and we were treated with a lot of disrespect by the manager. They never asked how much we were putting down on top of our trade in, and ran circles in their promises and back pedaled on everything they had previously said to get us there. Wow, the old car dealer stereotype is still alive and well!! Tried to sell me on a 'lease to own' at 0% financing. First, salesperson told me that it's 'illegal' to offer less than 5% financing unless it's a lease, though I've already seen 3 commercials today offering 2.9% for a sale, including from KIA!! Next, after making a 'gentlemans agreement' with the finance guy for $22,500 "out the door" with a set payment of $392, the numbers came back with me paying a total of $19,200 over 4 years with 0% financing, and then still having a 'residual' of $10,700 left to pay off at the end.! Go ahead, do the math--that would be paying almost $30,000 for a car that was promised for $22,500 TOTAL. Real 'gentleman' I was dealing with. Gateway Kia are a bunch of crooks, Especially the finance guy who actually acted Upset at ME for calling him out and stopping the deal. I absolutely suggest staying away! read more

Here has been my experience with this dealership so you can determine whether you want to be one of its customers. In March I purchased a certified 2019 Sorrento. I paid for two additional warranty coverages. After purchasing the car, I received a key set -- one set of keys. I was told the dealership could not find the other set of keys and to return to the dealership so that another set could be programmed. I was told that was covered by the additional warranty I purchased. When I returned to the dealership after setting up an appointment, the key specialist did not show up. I had to travel 20 miles to meet a specialist to get my second set of keys. Three months later, I had a problem with my air conditioner. I called for an appointment and was told that the car could not be serviced for five weeks but I could go to another Kia dealership. Imagine that, it would take five weeks to get something inspected that should have been checked during the pre-certification process. I went to another Kia dealership. Despite all the warranty coverage I purchased, I was had to pay $160 for the air conditioner to be inspected and when it was determined that it did not have enough freon, I also had to pay for it ($114). So, in total with taxes I paid for $281. Gateway sales person would not even pose to the manager to call the other Kia dealership and discuss this overcharge. I was told the manager would refuse to do so. I should have known when I left the dealership with one set of keys and a quarter tank of gas (most dealers give you a full tank), and a poor set of windshield wipers that that the dealership probably skimped on the certification. So, when one buys a certified car at this dealership, the only thing that should be labeled as "certified" is the car buyer for purchasing a car there. read more

Refused to allow me to see their numbers again once I called their bluff. I'm a week out and they are holding the car hostage, not allowing my purchase, PER CONTRACT, due to my refusal to pay what isn't part of the legally binding contract. Alex, the manager, asked if I would be wiling to pay $2,000 over price....NO! And their practice is not legal. I was referred to Attorney General's office to submit a complaint. Even before this, I was refused the opportunity to test drive a car, yes, really. Because I was not an imminent buyer. Let the buyer beware truly applies here.
