I had two discount coupons. One for downloading the Ace app,…read morea second one for my birthday. When I tried to redeem them while buying supplies the manager refused to honor either of them. No explanation other than the products I was purchasing were already discounted $1. The coupons had a discount value of $15 dollars. I explained to him through the cashier, as he would not come to the front of the store to talk to me to resolve this, that I called the night before seeking clarity on the restrictions of the coupons before driving to the store. I was told on that phone call they were straight dollars off coupons, any purchase, no restrictions. My purchases would have exceeded the value of both coupons. I put the products back on the shelf and left. Two weeks earlier I called to check to see if they had a product in stock. The employee was very reluctant to check the inventory and confirm if you had it in stock. I purchased products from this hardware store for years. It always had higher prices but good service, what happened to it? News Flash, for the same products, stores like Lowes and Walmart are 20-25% cheaper and the customer service is superior. These two incidents' let me know your employees really don't care about getting my repeat business. Your Choice.

They had a great price for these items that I explained about. The store was clean organized. The sales associate in the appliance center was named Scott he helped us with the purchase of the items that we bought. He asked us if we wanted to get an extended warranty and I told him no thank you but he wanted to know why not. I explained to him I did not want one. When purchasing our dishwasher we had the option of getting a pocket door one or a choice of handles we told him we would like the pocket door one. Our delivery came fairly fast only in 2 days it took to come when receiving the items the refrigerator was just fine but the dishwasher was not the correct style it had a handle on it that we did not ask for. The driver was nice and called customer service to see what could be done they redirected us to the actual store where we bought it from and we got the sales associate Scott that sold us the items he claims that we never told him what style we wanted but that was not true we had other people with us that day that could confirm what we said again he was very concerned for us to purchase an extended warranty and probably did not focus on what the customer was actually purchasing. We did take the item instead of refusing it and was told to contact the manager the next day since our delivery came on a Sunday. The next day we called the store manager and he said he was going to rectify the situation by taking 10% off the dishwasher ok that would work I guess so we settled for it we waited a week but there was no 10% refund to our credit card we contacted customer service and waited for over an hour to speak to a representative they gave us a case number and said that the store manager would call us the next day which did not happen another week went by and we decided to go down to the store. We spoke to one of the appliance supervisors Travis and he rectified the situation instantly. He was the only one that seemed to care about the customer not the sale we have been shopping at Lowe's for years and it used to be our hardware store of choice . It seems to be that the customer care has declined rapidly and that is a shame.

It is rare for me to give 5 stars to any merchant. This is my favorite Lowes location and I think…read morethey are lucky to be where they are on Platt Springs Road adjacent to the Wal Mart. I've always secretly wished that I could walk from this Lowes to the Walmart, but that's a little too risky considering the traffic. 15 mph in Lexington county really means go as fast as you can without getting caught by the police. The Wal Mart is only about 100 feet from the Lowes yet they separated by a giant 50 foot wall of dirt, so I would have to venture out into traffic to loop around to the Walmart. The other Lowes locations on Augusta Road and Sunset Boulevard can't help that they are located where they are but I avoid them because they tend to be too crowded and in higher traffic areas. I actually live closer to the West Columbia Lowes but after a visit there I feel like I visited a store up North where it is really cold if you know what I mean. So I alway travel the extra few miles to the Lowes on Platt Springs road. This Lowes has its "ups" and "downs" like any other place. People (staff) have bad days and I can allow for that. At any rate, I feel appreciated here and that pretty much says it all. I can take a cashier having a rough day or I can take it that the saw is out of order or that some sales clerk has left me hanging. Yes all that has happened to me at this Lowes but I love this store for how I feel after shopping there. Typically, if the website states that they have one of an item, that tends to be pretty much accurate.
