This review is only based on the appliance section and customer service for Lowe's hardware. I recently purchased a refrigerator and a dishwasher on a Black Friday sale. They had a great price for these items that I explained about. The store was clean organized. The sales associate in the appliance center was named Scott he helped us with the purchase of the items that we bought. He asked us if we wanted to get an extended warranty and I told him no thank you but he wanted to know why not. I explained to him I did not want one. When purchasing our dishwasher we had the option of getting a pocket door one or a choice of handles we told him we would like the pocket door one. Our delivery came fairly fast only in 2 days it took to come when receiving the items the refrigerator was just fine but the dishwasher was not the correct style it had a handle on it that we did not ask for. The driver was nice and called customer service to see what could be done they redirected us to the actual store where we bought it from and we got the sales associate Scott that sold us the items he claims that we never told him what style we wanted but that was not true we had other people with us that day that could confirm what we said again he was very concerned for us to purchase an extended warranty and probably did not focus on what the customer was actually purchasing. We did take the item instead of refusing it and was told to contact the manager the next day since our delivery came on a Sunday. The next day we called the store manager and he said he was going to rectify the situation by taking 10% off the dishwasher ok that would work I guess so we settled for it we waited a week but there was no 10% refund to our credit card we contacted customer service and waited for over an hour to speak to a representative they gave us a case number and said that the store manager would call us the next day which did not happen another week went by and we decided to go down to the store. We spoke to one of the appliance supervisors Travis and he rectified the situation instantly. He was the only one that seemed to care about the customer not the sale we have been shopping at Lowe's for years and it used to be our hardware store of choice . It seems to be that the customer care has declined rapidly and that is a shame. read more

Purchased a Samsung dryer from Lexington S.C. Lowe's. 800 dollars. All the bells and whistles. 13 months old and the wiring harness in the dryer burns. Dryer stop working. Repairman said factory defect. Lowe's said, call Samsung. Samsung said, not our problem, it was Lowe's fault. Reason plug not installed properly. Lowe's said, not our problem either. This went back and forth several times. Finally Samsung said, out of warranty. Lowe's said what ever Samsung said. On the morning of Mother's Day, I was not expecting a delivery but a Lowe's delivery truck destroyed my mailbox and post and also knocked over my neighbors mailbox post. Both of these were set in concrete. We have a video of the event. The impact is very audible and another beeping sequence was started in the truck after they hit the mailboxes. The truck left without the driver providing any information, such as name, originating location, truck number. My wife went to the nearest Lowe's location, where we have spent thousands of dollars over the past 10 years, where they were unhelpful. I've made multiple phone calls to the Lexington Lowe's location, their third party delivery company, Spirit Logistics, wasting a lot of time hold, and then being told someone will contact me within 72 hours. No one has reached out to us to set up replacement of our damaged property. It will be two weeks tomorrow, since their truck did this damage. I would expect some progress on resolving this by now. read more

Some of the people that work there definitely have no idea what customer service is. Nothing awful happened, but there was no sense of courtesy when asking the self checkout employee about a potential price match on a clearance item. Home Depot's item was $14, & theirs was $23.98. No price match on clearance items is fine, but be courteous and don't act like we are bothering you. We even had to ask if she was working because she sure didn't want to help. She got her manager who answered our question and even lowered her mask to speak to us so we could understand. On another note, I'm not sure why people are STILL wearing masks. I purchased a Stove, Refrigerator and Dishwasher for a construction refurbish. The appliances were delivered and placed in the garage as the house was still under construction. There were a couple weeks that passed before construction crew was to install them. Upon installation it was noticed that the Refrigerator was the incorrect size. I asked if I could exchange the unit for the correct size. I was told that I could not due to a 48 hour window of return. A 48 hour window of return! The unit has never been plugged up! There is no mention of such on the receipt, I was not told of such window by the sales clerk nor is it posted in the store. Buyers beware!! Not sure if Home Depot has the same policy but you can bet Lowes will never get another dime from me. My Pro Card and Personal card will be cancelled. What is overwhelming is the lack of compassion and concern from store and store manager. Even when I explained I am going directly on to another complete refurbish immediately after this one is completed. Not sure if Lowes will miss the 25k or so but I am positive that Home Depot will surly welcome it with open arms. read more

I went into this Lowe's tonight prepared to spend thousands of dollars on new washers and dryers. The customer service in Appliances was horrible. I spoke to an employee and when I started asking questions he just started talking to another couple interested in a refrigerator. I waited nearly 30min before simply leaving. As I exited, I noticed that most the employees were just leaning against their work stations looking bored and playing with their phones. The only positive thing about the place is that they have Military Veterans parking out front, so I didn't have to walk very far to my truck once I got the hell out of there and drove to Home Depot. read more

I was suppose to have already received the item three days ago and the tracking website sadly shows the item still sitting there and no one has even came to pick it up. Went there yesterday on June 1, 2022 at 4:30pm, had to drive past Home Depot to go there, so there's that, but no longer. I went to pick up hardware and wire cable, but to get it, you have to get it cut by employee. That is no problem, I rang the help needed button, waited, and waited, for about 10 minutes. Then went to front found a supervisor, he said someone would be there right away. Went back and waited another 10 minutes, no help, put the hardware down and I left. Went to Home Depot, no waiting. Purchased an already assembled smoker for delivery and was it would be delivered next day no problem. Was told the next day it couldn't be delivered because the assembler was out. When speaking with customer service, dispatch, and delivery manager not only were they rude and unhelpful they couldn't understand that it was already assembled and just needed to be delivered. I was given some lame excuse that they need order a new one from a different warehouse with no explanation and delivery would be pushed back. They said I could pick it up though.?!? Every time Spring and Summer come around I feel like I spend so much money at Lowes. They have a wide selection of everything....garden, tools, housewares, etc. I can lose track of time in Lowes and leave with things I didnt know I needed. This Lowes is clean and the employees are always helpful. Returns are easy but you can use your My Lowes card to track purchases if you for somehow lose your receipt. Make sure to check ads around holiday times because they will always run sales and you can order items online and pick them up in the store to avoid paying shipping. Been a lowes customer for years. Tried to exchange plants and did not take and was told if you purchased them using your lowes card lowes can look them for for the exchange. I brought my plants to lowes and the return employee and manager were very rude and told me I can't return anything. I explain how I have exchanged items before and they said I was lying and if I didn't have a receipt I couldn't exchange anything. All the plants were on my lowes card. They didn't care, they didn't even tried to help me. Exchange policy differs depends on how is working and that is bullshit. I'm on a Home Depot customer. The worst customer service experience I ever received anywhere in my life. 6 trips later to the store and 7 calls to corporate speaking to multiple customer service reps in corporate and a supervisor. Speaking to multiple managers in store nothing got accomplished. No follow up call as promised in 24 hrs after calling back in 26 hours was promised a follow up call again in 24 hrs by a supervisor this time and nothing. Wasted over 8 hours on something that should be as simple as buying a washer and dryer. Washer missing a drain hose. After buying a drain hose which should of been included with the washer the washer was defective to go get a new set of a washer dryer to have missing parts. read more

Really dissatisfied with the lowes processes itself. Staff was great. However due to how returns work I will not be making any big ticket orders in the future. The issue is I spent $1700 and some accessories and waited a week to get a grill online. The box came in beat up and it was dropped at some point during the shipping. The grill had a bad dent in it which made it impossible to assemble due to holes not lining up. I don't put that on lowes, things happen. But the lack of options and really just an inferior policy to your competitors is why i cant justify spending that much money on an order here again. The issue came about when I needed to return it. For example same situation happens at tractor supply you get a damaged order instead of transferring money all over the place, you simply bring it back and theyll make 1 call and they will simply reorder your item. They can also issue the money on to a merchandise card so that you could just reorder the same item without draining your bank account while you wait the 3-5 days to get your money back. But instead this is what happened to me. I ran into an issue where I initiated a return brought the item back to the store, was told, i asked them about the a gift card or any other options, (again the staff were completely professional and showed compassionfor the situation) I was told "it looks like your refund has already been processed", "it's not letting me do anything" with basically money part "your good to go." Just to get home and realize something somewhere in that process got messed up. My email is telling me my return is still pending and it's waiting for me to "bring it back" to the store which I already did... at the same time I'm dealing with that, I'm clicking through the email I got from the return and I see a button to "reorder" the grill I still don't have. So I go to the next screen shows my saved card and billing info, I click process it goes through. I get my email and realize my order location was defaulted and it was getting sent to another state. This is where I called customer care. I waited like 45 minutes, finally I'm talking to the lady she tells me she's gonna get the original refund issue to the management team to let them know the product has been returned, but that was kinda it, so as far as I know because I haven't gotten an email or anything that's still unresolved. So right after she tells me that, I told her about the reorder issue. She then tells me she'll have to cancel it and the reorder it again, I asked if they could do some kind of online gift card/reorder, she tells me no not possible. I asked if we could just edit the address, it's only been maybe 20 minutes since I sent the order, again nothing can be done but she said she'd have to call the store the order was sent to and talk to their manager maybe there's something they can do and to just sit tight for a minute. So I'm waiting on hold thinking she'll get back with me and let me know what we need to do to find a solution. Nope... phone starts ringing and some guy picks up, I'm completely confused as to what's going on, idk who I'm talking to. Well she just transferred me to the store, I'm trying to figure out what I need to tell this guy, so basically he had no solutions either so he just canceled it. I did get the email saying it's canceled. But again I've ordered items to the wrong tractor supply before and again 1 phone call to their customer care and they can actually just switch the destination so long as the order hasnt shipped yet. So now I'm ordering a grill for the 3rd time. None of the first $3k has hit my account yet. So essentially the exciting day I'm supposed to get my new grill has turned into multiple trips to lowes, most of my day wasted dealing with this and my bank account is missing $4500 for a $1500 grill. Good luck getting service. I ordered something to be picked up. Wanted to save time. I waited 35 minutes for someone to show up. After 15 minutes l asked cust serv for help, was told they were not trained in cust pick up dept. I then asked for a manager. Was told they would page one but was not sure a manager would come. It would have been faster to just get what l needed myself, but l was unable to camcell my order. Lesson learned. Anything home repair l need from now on, l go down the street to Home Depot. Complete Mess with delivery. When we purchased our fridge we were told it was in stock but would take 10 days until it could be delivered. Bummer but okay. Then were told we would have a call the day before with a window time frame for delivery. This person did call, but said there was no window they would call 30-45 min before delivery. My boyfriend and I both work full time so this was an inconvenience and not what we were originally told. We spent over 30 minutes trying to contact someone at the store for more information but just kept being connected to more unhelpful people. Day of delivery, Call at 930am, we will be there within an hour. At 1230 when they hadn't arrived yet we tried calling Lowes to again be put through many different departments with no answers. After speaking with a manager they took down my information stated they would call me back...they didn't. Past 1pm the delivery team called again saying they were on their way. They had no explanation why this was 3+ hours after they said and no apology. Will never go here again. Horrible customer service and a waste of time off from work. read more

The worst customer service I have ever received. I went to return items bought the day before that did not fit. The customer service entrance was closed and non-functioning. So I went into the store and waited at the counter where two employees were working with not being recognized along with others behind me. After about 15 minutes a manager who had been seen walking around came behind the counter and asked if I was returning the items on the counter with receipt alongside. I replied yes. She then went on to tell me she was very busy and had 3 customers in front of me. No one was in front of me as she went and looked stuff up on her screen. Later she came to me and said I could return the items at the first register where I had been standing now for over 20 minutes with no one saying anything prior. The manager then sent other to the self check out lanes then opened up a register herself. This is not the 1st time this has happened and I will do my best to not return to this store. This store has a great selection, integrates well with the online shopping experience (ordering items for pickup at the store), and great appreciation for the military -- both in hiring veterans and in recognition among their customers. We get amazing assistance from the helpful people at this store in the departments we shop. We even get help loading our vehicle with our purchases when it's most needed! They are wonderful members of our community and have great people working at the stores in the area. I shop at Irmo, Lexington and Sand Hills stores and have had the same wonderful experience at each store. I can count on them having what we need -- no matter how obscure it seems to us. I have had WONDERFUL service from this Lowe's. Marty has gone above and beyond what could be expected. We talked almost daily and he was always thinking of my best interests. Other staff have also been very helpful to me. I am disabled and feel their willingness to carry, go find, offer advice have been really helpful They were always good to me before I before becoming disabled.
