Crystal took my dull, grown out balayage (that never really excited me) and transformed it into an all over gorgeous, buttery blonde. No bleach was used in the process in order to protect my thin hair, and the results are amazing. The other stylists gave both of us compliments during the process and it made me feel more confident about taking the plunge into full blonde territory. She did not want to upset the stylist. (my daughter was one of the stylist first clients) My daughter returned to the salon to speak with the manager regarding her complaint. The manger did offer the same service. The offer was declined due to risk of her hair being darker. The manager was rude and condensing verbalizing "you said you can't afford our prices." and proceeded to walk away. i reached out to the stylist via Instragram, to offer a solution to help all parties remedy the customer service issue. (I am the one paying for the service). The solution was to add the service to lighten the darker hair color with a discount for the service with an additional generous tip to compensate Eckley for providing a solution to a customer problem. Eckley was more concerned that my daughter did not reach out directly regarding her dislike for the darker hair color. The solution was to redirect my daughter to obtain services at another salon. No solution to address a customer service complaint. it is disheartening that this salon tells heavily on social media and review for clients. They do not care! very unprofessional results!

The first time I had a haircut there I opted for one of the "lower level" stylists for a more budget friendly cost. I actually had to return because one of the experienced stylists was cutting one side of my hair and someone who hadn't done that kind of cut before was doing the other side. So I came back and had the more experienced stylist do both sides and it came out terrific. I came back a second time and had my hair highlighted and added a bold color with a cut. I had so many compliments on it. It looked outstanding. The third appt went pretty good. Hair was not as outstanding as the previous time but still get compliments on it. However, I had an appointment for one of their specials to do a scalp treatment and a facial for $60. Unfortunately, that morning, I woke up with a very bad sinus headache and had to go into work late. So that I wouldn't lose money on my job, I decided I better work late so I had decided to cancel my appointment to keep the boss happy and wasn't sure when to rebook it. They told me I would have to pay double that $60 charge -- $120 for the regular price. This was pretty surprising and disappointing considering I had been very happy with the customer service I've received up until that point. All of the girls there have been very nice. After talking to my boss, she told me that I could go after all. I couldn't get through to anybody during lunch so when I finally got through to someone at 2 PM I was told that the appointment was filled, but that they were still going to try to charge me or that I couldn't come back to the salon for services. I felt like this was an unfair policy and that $120 is a very steep cancellation fee considering the special was for $60 and that's all the stylist would have made from me anyway. So at this point, I'm not sure I would recommend the salon or not sadly. I never knew they would charge me for canceling especially that much more than I was planning to play for the service.

I would strongly caution anyone considering a perm at Toppers Salon…read more I brought in an inspiration photo and left with something that looked like an overprocessed 80s hair band style. The technique alone was alarming; neutralizer left in for about a minute, hair towelled immediately after perming, and then combed right away. It's no surprise the result turned out the way it did. What was supposed to be a trim turned into harsh, uneven layers that made the hair significantly shorter than discussed. When a fix was requested, the response was even worse than the service. Instead of accountability, there was belittling and dismissiveness. The most telling part was when the boss stated that this is how she trains her staff to do perms. At that point, it made complete sense why the boss didn't even begin to know how to correct the situation. Fortunately, I was able to have my hair fixed quickly at another salon, but that doesn't undo the experience here. I would not recommend Toppers Salon, especially for chemical services.
