I've been here three times to have my hair done. The salon is pretty cozy inside. You can have coffee or a snack, and the decor is nice. The first time I had a haircut there I opted for one of the "lower level" stylists for a more budget friendly cost. I actually had to return because one of the experienced stylists was cutting one side of my hair and someone who hadn't done that kind of cut before was doing the other side. So I came back and had the more experienced stylist do both sides and it came out terrific. I came back a second time and had my hair highlighted and added a bold color with a cut. I had so many compliments on it. It looked outstanding. The third appt went pretty good. Hair was not as outstanding as the previous time but still get compliments on it. However, I had an appointment for one of their specials to do a scalp treatment and a facial for $60. Unfortunately, that morning, I woke up with a very bad sinus headache and had to go into work late. So that I wouldn't lose money on my job, I decided I better work late so I had decided to cancel my appointment to keep the boss happy and wasn't sure when to rebook it. They told me I would have to pay double that $60 charge -- $120 for the regular price. This was pretty surprising and disappointing considering I had been very happy with the customer service I've received up until that point. All of the girls there have been very nice. After talking to my boss, she told me that I could go after all. I couldn't get through to anybody during lunch so when I finally got through to someone at 2 PM I was told that the appointment was filled, but that they were still going to try to charge me or that I couldn't come back to the salon for services. I felt like this was an unfair policy and that $120 is a very steep cancellation fee considering the special was for $60 and that's all the stylist would have made from me anyway. So at this point, I'm not sure I would recommend the salon or not sadly. I never knew they would charge me for canceling especially that much more than I was planning to play for the service. read more

Got extensions here and asked Madi to not place them at my cowlick and she placed one dead center of my cowlick. I feel like everyone is really nice when you're making the appointment, but when it comes down to the time of appointment they're not talkative. The stylist I got (Madi) was not very personable and didn't really engage in conversation when I asked questions about how to care for extensions (which is fine I have Google) or any conversation with me at all just was singing songs along to pandora in my ears, however she kept making conversation with the stylist two chairs over. She also didn't want to cut the extensions to the length I wanted which was really weird and she didn't blend the extensions into my bangs so it looked very fake, but I went to Sally's and got thinning shears to fix it myself. My fiancé later cut the extensions the length I wanted and they looked 10x better and more like my real hair. Just weird vibes. Also very dirty in the salon I think they should clean more or pay someone monthly to clean. read more

I've been going to wanderlust for years and it seems like every time I went it got worse, especially with madi. I asked for a money piece (since my appointment 2 weeks before which was getting my highlights refreshed she didn't bring my money piece up to my root) and they were the most uneven, unblended, WHITE money pieces I've ever seen. Keep in mind I have warm honey blonde hair. So my entire head had warm tones and then two streaks of white. I ended up having to go to another place to get them toned down and now I'm left with extreme damage to the front peices of my hair right before school starts back. Also she intentionally turns the chair while blow drying my hair so I can't see how it looks until the end so I wasn't able to really see until I got to my car. I'm extremely disappointed as a loyal customer and the work they do is just lazy. I even would hear them complain about so many people getting their hair done in August... like isn't this your job? Why would you Trust someone doing your hair when they openly complain about having to do it? read more

I came in for a facial during the Spring specials to see Jordy, and I was really pleased! I have seen Jordy a few times, and she is my absolute favorite. She always takes great care of my skin, and is so lovely to talk with during my services. The facial was very relaxing and my skin still feels great about a week after. I'm always so happy with Jordy! She also does my Husband's waxing, and she's always so gentle and kind with him as well. We both love coming to see her for all our skincare needs. Lauren was amazing! The salon is very clean, welcoming and cozy. Everybody seems to get along very well which is really a plus in term confort and overall well-being. Everything was on point, from the music ambiance to the low noise air dyers. I was extremely worried due to a previous terribly bad experience in another salon that left me with bald spots and burnt hair, Lauren took the time to confort, listen and advise me on what were my options. I have been seeing Kayla for 3 years now. She is amazing!! I first went to her wanting to be blonde and she helped get me there. She really listens to what you want and works with you. She did an amazing balayage first and then after took me full blonde, doing full highlights so it's natural looking. I am obsessed. Scenia is absolutely fantastic, and all of the girls at this salon are so welcoming and friendly. The first time I went to visit, I received $20 off my service, and Scenia recommended a treatment (olaplex) that gave my hair a much needed boost. I am always hesitant to try new hair salons but I could not be happier with Wanderlust and Scenia as a stylist. I showed her two pictures that were pretty different from each other. Scenia combined what I liked from both options to make this beautiful hair color. I told her I wanted to keep as much length as possible and she completely listened. I've gotten two cuts from Gal and have been quite pleased. She can look at a picture of your suggested cut and leave you photo shoot ready upon leaving. Additionally, she gives amazing scalp massages during the shampoo and condition where you feel you should leave an extra tip due to her magical fingers. read more

I went into Wanderlust because I read that they were the "blonde experts". It's can be difficult for some stylists to get blonde right. I've had awful experiences in the past and I wanted to make sure to avoid that. I just wanted my balayage touched up. I've been doing balayage for years and know how it needs to be done. I'm not even quite sure how my hair was so messed up. When the woman was done rinsing and blow drying my hair she turned me around to the mirror. My hair was purplish/grey and falling out. The owners were so helpful/nice and tried to fix it but the damage had been done. My hair is multi colored and absolutely fried now. It's falling out when I run my fingers through it. I'm not even sure at this point if I'll be able to fix it anytime soon. I spent 3 hours just on the initial service then 3 more waiting for them to try to fix it. I hate leaving bad reviews but I wish I had read the reviews on here before I went it and want to save others the tears, stress, and hassle. I definitely won't be returning and I would encourage anyone seeking blonde services to be weary. read more

I was in the salon from 4:30-9:30 pm trying to fix my hair. I had to go back the following week to get it redone and this is the final result! So disappointed. The salon owners ensure that the stylists are up-to-date on the newest trends, even going as a group to national hair shows. (I think that's what is called. I went to Wanderlust today and had a haircut with Lauren, one of the owners. The normal cost for her is $40 but for first time guest that price is cut in half! She did an amazing job, and seemed very knowledgeable. I went in not knowing exactly what cut I wanted, and she assisted me in the perfect direction! They also do a dry cut at the salon, meaning they wash and dry your hair before they cut it. I had never had that before and I really enjoyed it! She stated it made a more accurate cut. I also enjoyed the fact that when she was finished with the cut she asked how you would like it styled, unlike most salons that just style how they like it! The salon was clean and cute, it had a great atmosphere. They offered you a beverage when you walked in, and everyone was super friendly. I will definitely be returning! read more

Let me just start by saying I have never walked out of a salon so happy with my hair. I went in for what I thought was going to be a quick and easy health trim and left with beautiful layers and face framing pieces. I usually avoid getting my hair cut because I never get the results I want, but my hair was so dead and flat I couldnt avoid getting it cut any longer. This was my first time at Wanderlust and I had Beca. She knew exactly how to cut all my split ends off while also preserving the long length of my hair. She did such an incredible job with creating smooth layers, and really took her time to make sure I was happy with the results. For anyone with thick long hair I seriously recommend Beca! read more

I really wish I had found this salon and Lauren sooner. I had been driving to Jacksonville to get my hair done but it needed to find a salon closer to home. Upon my first consultation with Lauren I knew I was in great hands. I was interested in extensions and a color change up and she answered all of my questions. This was easily the most thorough consult I have ever had. When it came to color she didn't just do what she wanted she really listened and worked to understand what look I was going for while also making suggestions. The color turned out better than I had anticipated. When it came to the extensions, again all my questions answered and the process, while long, never felt uncomfortable or boring. Seriously they will keep you laughing and engaged as well - plus they all seem to assist each other. During portions of my extension install Kayla came over to assist Lauren and they worked great together. These gals CARE about your hair and your happiness. I never felt like either was sacrificed. I love that they are constantly continuing their education and excited about doing it as well. Highly recommend - if you are looking for a new salon/stylist give them a try. read more

My first time here, just got a trim no more than half an inch got taken off & it was $36 a little pricey but she did wash and blow dry as well. My problem with this place was it was pretty unprofessional. Went in Jami said about 2 words to me then all the hair dressers proceeded to ignore their clients and talk about there up-coming plans for their Orlando trip to Universal! I know that because it was being screamed in my ear. I almost wanted to put in my airpods because they were all giving me a headache. Left feeling ignored and stressed but haircut was decent so I guess that's what matters. Don't think I will be going back in the future though. read more

DO NOT GO to Wanderlust. Most importantly, because the owner will not step up and provide customer service when there is a problem with the stylist. This was my first visit and since I needed to schedule for Saturday I waited 6 weeks for the appointment. That should have been my first warning. I wanted highlights and lowlights. The receptionist said Hannah could do a great job and another girl at the desk also recommended Hannah. So I said great. Six weeks later I show up with pictures and the first thing she says is "oh, I probably can't give you that because your present color is permanent and to add the blonde will turn it orange." Alright, maybe. However, I have been having my hair colored by stylists for the last 20 years and I have never had a problem with the highlights/lowlights. Another warning! I said, that's ok, I'm willing to give it a try. I asked "How much?" and she says, "Oh my prices are on my phone but it's not loading, let me go get the list." She comes back and says, "It starts at $200 and will probably be $245." I'm still ok with this giving everyone the benefit based on reviews of the salon. However, I'm cautious, so I said, let's cut it first, then do the color. I told her I like a dry cut and gave her directions on the cut. Next clue, she takes the scissors and makes one cut across the bottom edge of my hair and says, "Is that short enough?" She never parts it, sections it, combs it and retrims, etc. I asked for a mirror and I said, "Well, maybe a little shorter in the back." Oh boy, was that a mistake. She takes two more cuts at the back. I panic and said that's good. Then she goes for the color. All of a sudden, another lady shows up and introduces herself as one of the owners. She proceeds to tell me that Hannah is in the restroom sick, probably from something she ate at lunch (hopefully, that's all). Anyway, Hannah will not be able to do my hair today and that I will need to reschedule. As she keeps flipping through her phone looking at the schedule, she keeps saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." So I ask, "Well, who is available? I'm free all day and can stay as late as necessary. I waited 6 weeks for this appointment." At this point she says "We are booked for at least the next three or four weeks." REALLY! The conversation turned to "Wait, can't someone stay late to accommodate the inconvenience? Or can't you as the owner, stay and the resolve the issue. Yes, I understand people get sick and that is unexpected; however, I waited 6 weeks and this would make such a great impression on my first experience at YOUR salon if you stayed and personally took care of me? And who knows, I would certainly be grateful and provide a gratuity in response." The owner looked helpless and totally out of control -- certainly not a manager. I got up took off the ugly black cape and walked out with a chopped up haircut, one side shorter than the other and the back even shorter. As I drove away, I decided Hannah, the stylist, realized she had made a mess of the haircut and panicked. She got scared she was going to make a bigger mess of the color (and probably would have done so, Hannah could have "fried" my hair) so she feigned an illness. In the long run, best for me. The worst was a chopped up haircut which I walked out not paying for. An additional note: while there, I never say anyone sweeping hair cuttings, cleaning after clients left, etc. as required. read more

Thinking I would be safe by getting the owner as I was trying out a new salon, she totally messed up my blonde hair and made it very bronze/orange toned, which is exactly opposite of what I asked for. She "fixed" it two different times, only to walk away frustrated and still disappointed in result. Will never go back. read more

The salon environment and staff are all great. I had a great experience until I got home and realized that my hair essentially looked nothing different than how it did when I walked in. I got a full foil done, however the stylist did not leave the foils on long enough and my hair did not lighten. I have naturally dirty blonde hair which always lightens very well and quickly. They have a policy that states if you are not pleased with your hair after the service you have 48 hours to contact the stylist to make any changes after the service is completed. I contacted my stylist and she gave many excuses as to why my hair did not lighten, all of them being untrue and told me if I wanted to make any changes that I would have to come in again and she would charge me. I am so disappointed in the quality of service I received at this salon, especially after reading multiple great reviews. Save your money and go to a salon with a better reputation! read more
