One of my favorite things about The Marmalade Tree is the wonderful purses they sell. These bags are not only fashionable and trendy, they are SO AFFORDABLE. During my last visit to the store, I brought in a necklace that I bought there over the Christmas holidays that I had never worn because it had become a tangled mess. The sales associate not only let me exchange it with no receipt, she took my word on the original cost. It is so hard to find a neighborhood store that still believes in the honor system....REFRESHING! That same sales associate let me know that some of the gorgeous jewelry at The Marmalade Tree was made locally and even by their own sales clerks! I highly recommend visiting downtown Oswego if you can: The Marmalade Tree is just one of the great shops you will find yourself falling in love with.

Warehouse 55 is a collection of vintage items and repurposed furnishings mixed with many one of a kind treasures. Here you will find old and new..something for every aesthetic . The designer never followed through after her visit and nothing was ever done to actually start my project. I received nothing for my deposit. As the party date approached and they were unresponsive I realized I could not count on them to help so I had to go in a different direction completely on my own to get work done. Once my date came and went I called the owner to explain the situatuon. The owner actually blamed me for not being more forceful in making them do their job. I could not believe she was actually blaming me for their lack of effort and professionalism. I asked for my deposit back since nothing was done and she refused. After much arguing she agreed to pay half back. Months later I still have NOT received even the half. I own a buisness...I would never treat a customer like I was treated. Mistakes might happen.. but not refunding once a mistake happens shows horrible buisness practice. I learned a lesson..never give a check for a deposit. Once cashed they are gone.
