We are not from the area came up to Erie on a girls trip. Wanted to find something close to the…read morehotel but fun. Looked up dive bars and this came up. It's about 10-15 mins away. It's in a cute part of town. Looks like lots of bars and restaurants and general downtown activity. Parking can be a challenge. You can park in front and there are meters around. Place was hopping on a Friday night. You find your own seat. We sat at a booth in back. We were warned that the server is slammed and there might be a wait but it was fine. The server took good care of us. They have popcorn machine and you can help yourself. The drinks are pretty cheap and they have lots of cocktails and ok beer selection. Menu is just big enough. Prices are good all around. And again drinks are pretty cheap. There are 5 of us. 2 people got wings. 1 was liked 1 said it was just ok. Someone got the crab cakes and she liked them it was an appetizer. And 2 of us got the French dip sandwich. It was good. Lots of tender roast beef. Cheese was good. Not too many veggies though. I like veggies. But it was a good sandwich. The dip au jus was good. 1 of us got tots and I got fries. Lots of fries and decent amount of tots. They were good, generous. It was all pretty good. I would go back and hang out again.

Food was amazing and would be THE spot in the area to go. Lunch, Dinner, it wouldn't matter - there would be a wait. With every visit over the last decade or so, my experience continues to decline as the food and service has suffered with time. What once was a staple meal has become a poor iteration of what once was. Bread is obnoxiously thick. The flavors on the ingredients feel off. It's disappointing. Still feel like there's a chance this spot recovers in time but with their expansions - this location has suffered.

Haven promised this would not happen. We did not see him again until 8PM an hour after we seated when he arrived with our soups and salads. I said we were getting worried because we seated at 7PM and it's now 8 PM - wasn't sure what happened to you. He simply said they gave me another table and had orders. Ok. Haven Brought us the leftover bread they had which was all jalapeño rolls that were hot and were terrible. Cousin asked for some normal bread and he said they were putting more in oven - never heard anymore about bread - never brought anything else. Our meals did come out about 8:20PM - they handed me my steak tips and a brown baked potato from the bottom of the warming oven that was a couple hours past its prime and bitter. I looked at the girl that delivered it and said this potato is bad - she said nothing but did get me a new one. I did not complain. We hadn't complained at all. The manager or owner - no idea - came out and said do we have a problem - I said no - we just find it chuckleable that we were left here for an hour without seeing anyone - he said I will find out what happened - never saw him again. Food was ok - my second potato was barely better than first - in the 80 minutes it took to serve my meal they could have brought me a fresh baked potato that takes the same time to bake. ' My steak tips were cooked right at medium rare but delivered cold. Cheeseburger for daughter over cooked with black stuff coming off burger and delivered cold. Rest of food was fine - salmon, walleye, chicken and rigatoni. All fine. Mediocre experience. Repeat of ten years ago. Paid our bill - tipped per their guidelines - did not complain. They did not do themselves a service by pretending it went well, or even ok. The front patio was fully shutdown by time we left. As far as I can tell they just waited to make our food until rest of restaurant was fed or Haven just never delivered it. We politely paid and left. They don't know me - never said sorry about that or anything. Generally it just sucked. Was there with family from Wyoming, Illinois, Wisconsin, and North Carolina along with Erie PA - restaurant was my pick. No one enjoyed the experience and was just tired by the end as we left after 9 PM. I wouldn't suggest bringing a large party here for anything in the world. Just surprised with their lack of ownership for the poor experience. Hostess said please come again - that will never happen - blacklisted for me. If you get seated in the back room by yourselves - abort - you will be lost in that back room. That room has dozens of drain flies all over the place as well which means they have slow drains somewhere - again we never said a word other then sending back my old baked potato - kitchen never should have sent that out. Overall this place embarrassed me in front of my family and was just a poor experience. Two thumbs down. I did not take a picture of my mediocre meal - but we had two people that couldn't come - they were lucky to have missed it. Not sure what would cause someone to come back here a 2nd time - past its prime. I've been coming here since 2002 - I will never be back - ever!

On arrival there were not many patrons at the bar/restaurant. We came into the downstairs bar side which has several pool tables. We got our pool ball's and began a game. After several minutes one of the group went over to the bar to make them not only aware we were here but to get a round of drinks. The bartender made our drinks but sent them back to the table with the member of our party who ordered them rather then a server. Bartender was made aware at that time that we wanted to order food and we were told "Nick" was responsible for taking orders in our area. After over 30 minutes of watching Nick standing talking to patrons and staff of the bar, delivering food items to a table that came after us, and actually coming into the pool area where we were and vaping, we still had not had our order taken. Finally we paid out alcohol tab and returned the pool ball's to the pool hall. The bartender apologized to us and we left. At the time we walked out the door to leave Nick was standing talking to Mark, the pool hall manager. We are disappointed and have felt the service at Andy's has been declining. Do better Andys Pub and please educate Nick on proper restaurant service. Coming in to vape but still ignore patrons with menus waiting to order is distasteful and rude.
