This place met our needs for "seeing" gators but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired. We came on a Monday and the place was packed which is great for business. We made our way outside and downstairs to see the various gator exhibits. The kids enjoyed looking at them. For $5.00 you can feed the baby gators. They were tiny but adorable nonetheless. We spent about 15 minutes total inside and then left. If you are in the area it's a fun place to visit. It's free to come in, and parking is plentiful.

Viewing the hatchlings, yearlings, and 2-5 year olds is free. There is an option to hold a yearling and take a photo for an additional charge. My friend opted for that and the photographer/ handler was very knowledgeable. The photo alligator had its snout taped shut with electrical tape but sticky side up. All the hatchlings are purchased from a farm and they are raised until about 5 years old, then they are transferred to zoos. I do t understand why anyone would give less than 5 stars for this free activity. I didn't see accessible access ramps so might have to leave grandpa at home.

Great place to take the family to interact with baby gators! There is also an opportunity to feed them along with a nice outdoor bar area.

    Great information!

Great place to stop in and learn about alligators! We had time to kill before heading to the airport and decided to come watch the free alligator show! We stayed about 30 minutes. They have a restaurant & everyone seemed nice and courteous. We walked around the gift store and found a coffee cup to take home. The playground looks like fun and appeared to be free too. I would bring kids here and expect to spend some money on the souvenirs and the cute take home decorative cups.

Good for kids. Kiddo loved it. A bit pricey for food but it was good. the free educational show and displays are super cool and worth it. Small alergators were very cool too. Very Friendly and awesome staff very cool place. Recommended.

A little hard to find because it's not what you would expect. It's located in a bar/arcade type business. Signage on the building is visible, but not much from the street. Glad we stopped. While we did see alot of gators, many were small. There's displays of faux taxidermy of other animals as well. Kids will enjoy it, as well as the fact that you can graffiti on the walls of the establishment. For a fee you can feed the gators with a pole. Best part is admission is free! A good way to kill 30 minutes if seeing the gators only.

Wow! What a fun stop! Whether you're a local or a tourist in Destin, Gator Beach is a fun time. ***We didn't try any food or drink, but only enjoyed the alligator activities. Viewing the alligators and watching the live educational + feeding shows is all FREE! (Shows are at noon, 2pm and 4pm with a fact or fiction game show at 6pm.) Feeding the alligators is $4 for 4 pieces and a "fishing pole". Taking a photo with a baby gator (with its mouth taped shut) is $10 for a 5x7 print. Show host was super fun and friendly. Picture service was slow, but they kept a calm environment for the gator, which I appreciate! :)

The food really wasn't impressive. Everything is fried!!! And not a yummy fried but overly fried and not impressed. We were there in December and the gators were sleeping they just go into sleep mode after thanksgiving. The little gators were cute and moving. Happy to see them at least. Our waitress was awesome but nothing really impressive. Order a salad and enjoy this little dive. Wasn't super horrible but a one hitter for me.

It's a 4 at most. Not much to see or do. If you've been to other gator spots such as gatorama this place doesn't even compare. You'll be done with gator beach in 15 mins max. You can buy food and take a pic with a baby gator and it's pretty cheap. Probably wouldn't return. But it was a good pass time for a few mins

Neat place in Destin Florida it's a restaurant, gift shop and gator attraction. You can take pics with gator and feed the gators for a fee. They even fed the gators and do a show did I mention it's FREE no charge just walk up and check it out. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable too.

We did the VIP tour with two boys (7& 10). Was the highlight of our trip. It would be easy for this to be a tourist trap and be lame, it it was awesome. Chris and Caleb, our guides, were super knowledgeable and made the tour fun for kids and adults. Got to feed the animals raw meat and manufactured food. I would definitely recommend. I'd say ideal for ages 5-12.

    Baby gators

It's connected with Fudpuckers. Yes, it's free, or you can pay for gator bait that you can dangle in front of them. All baby gators, no larger ones. $15 for a photo holding a baby gator. The show is informative, but kind of boring honestly. Free though, so you "get what you pay for." Happy we went for a few minutes but don't go expecting to be impressed. One of those things that if it's convenient and you have a few minutes, I'd do it, but don't plan to make it an outing.

Gator beach is a pretty fun spot to go and watch alligators do with alligators do swim sleep and eat. You can watch them for free while you're waiting for your food if you ordered food or drinks. If you want to feed the alligators it's four dollars but if you just wanna watch it's free and that's what we did give me like free

Ok. Gator show is underwhelming. But good for a quick stop, and you can get out of the heat at the adjoining arcade.

The fish in the fish tacos was very tasty, however, it was like fish with a bag of salad on top of it. Didn't like.

Me and my family was waiting to do a firework cruise through Destin snorkel in the village and we had some time to kill. We seen this ride experience and thought "why not it's vacation". Pricing is high at $13 a person but you expect that at tourists traps like this. The decor in here was ratty fun and the workers were nice. You choose from a list of different spooky or fun adventures. The workers describe them as motion roller coasters with 3r goggles. After picking your "movie" you wait in a lien until it's your turn. Wait wasn't bad. As each one only lasts about 5-6 min and we only had one family in front of us. They have a row of yellow chairs and when it's your turn a curtain draws and shuts you in for the best viewing pleasure. My kids went with the carnival movie choice. The ride itself was fun and it had a few legit jump scares on the ride too. We all really enjoyed the ride as the movie we picked was creative. The rides are interactive as you have a little yellow gun attached to your chair and you shoot the bad guys to see who gets the high score. In our see we're shooting evil and demented clowns. Not to brag but I kicked my kids butts and landed a top 5 score for the day in that particular movie ride. Overall a fun and memorable vacation experience. You wish it was cheaper but you also understand the hustle too. I wouldn't be opposed to going again and doing a different movie If we ever vacation the Destin area again.

Family tradition, and great fun! Always a good time with a little friendly, family competition!read more

We haven't been to Destin in a few years, and we looked forward to this activity which had been a staple of our summers for years. First, when we pulled up (this was early evening, after dinner), I wasn't even sure it was open. We felt like the Griswolds going to Wally World. We walked around the corner and found someone at the ticket booth and a few other people waiting to buy tickets. We purchased without a wait, got our putters, and went to the first hole of the yellow course. It was very quickly evident that the place is in a terrible state of disrepair. Splintered and rotted wood all over - railings, posts, stair treads, handrails, walkways, etc. There were nails that had worked out of the wood and sticking out. There were at least two places where a board from the walkway was sticking up enough to be a tripping hazard. Carpet on the playing surfaces was torn and shredded, to the point that play was impaired on a few holes. There was a lot of standing, stagnant water in some areas, including in one of the putting holes, so an absolute breeding ground for mosquitos. This was such a disappointing experience. I kept wishing I had gone back after a couple of holes and demanded my money back. I cannot recommend Big Kahuna's for anyone.

One of the things my hubby and I loved the most is that the Gulfarium also serves as a rehabilitation center for marine life. Many animals are treated and released back into the ocean whenever possible, while others that could not survive in the wild are given a safe and caring home. We saw a sea turtle with two missing flippers, which was both heartbreaking and made us happy at the same time since it wouldn't stand a chance to live in the wild. We watched both the sea lion and dolphin shows, and they were great. It was so nice to see that the trainers genuinely care about the animals. The animals were rewarded with plenty of treats, attention, and affection throughout the presentations. My favorite part of the entire visit was seeing the manatees. I had only ever seen them in pictures before, and I completely fell in love. They are such gentle, peaceful, and beautiful creatures. I could have watched them all day!

We saw stingrays, dolphins, penguins, manatees, turtles, crocodiles, pelicans, snakes, lizards, frogs, and many other animals. Even though we missed the scheduled shows, there was still plenty to see and enjoy at our own pace. One of the best parts was learning that they care for many rescue animals and help rehabilitate and release them back into the ocean when possible. It was great seeing a place focused on marine animal rescue and conservation. The park was family friendly and easy to walk through, with lots of close-up animal encounters. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is that some of the animal habitats and viewing areas were not very well maintained. A few tanks had noticeable algae buildup, which made it difficult to clearly see some of the animals. Overall though, we still had a good experience and would recommend visiting if you are in the Fort Walton Beach area.
