Back from Gator Hydroponics and had to leave another review. The last time I was there i picked up a small light for my kitchen. Low on funds for my new garden i chose to go with a used light. The guy explained that he cant do any kinda warranty with used lights because its so easy blow bulbs and baluster if not handled properly. But we plugged it in for a bit at the store to see that it worked, then I used it a bit to make sure when i got home. I put i away for about a week until i was ready for it, then over night then baluster went out. I called the store and asked about it, they said to bring it in and they see what they can do. Went that same day hoping it was something they were able to fix for a low price. Turned out the light was a bust :( but to my complete surprise he apologized said he wasn't able to fix it and offered me store credit for it. I was taken bake at first, knowing he didn't have to gave me store credit being used and its been over a week. Not expecting it i had no clue what to do, I still didn't have enough for a new light. So they gladly let me waste over an hour of there time asking all my dumb questions about the smaller things i needed that i over looked in planing my garden. Cant wait to go back after i get paid to get my new light. read more

I am new to hydroponics and am just beginning to dabble in some vegetable growing. I went to Gator Hydroponics to talk to some of the guys about a simple system for getting started. Chris, the owner, is who helped me get set up with my first hydroponic system. He is very knowledgeable about hydroponics and was able to explain to me the basics. I purchased the materials he suggested and will be planting some plants tonight. He explained to me that there is alot I needed to learn and recommended a book for me to read that he sold in the store. I read the book, and I would recommend it to anyone who new to hydroponics. Go check the store out and the guys up there are more than willing to help. Its a great place. read more

Great grow store that are knowledgeable and have great products for not just hydroponics because they specialize in everything. If you need propagation help or have a issue with your plants the store employees are very knowledgeable on how to help you. If they can't they go out of their way to help you get to what you need! The customer service is great, they have a loyalty program if you buy a certain amount of products you get money off products . Im not entirely sure on the specifics, either way, most agricultural and or horticultural stores don't have loyalty programs. read more

Gator Hydroponics is my go to store for anything I need for hydroponics and gardening in general. If you're a beginner this is the one and only store you would need to visit for everything you would need to start. If you're ready for an upgrade to your garden, Gator Hydroponics has a huge selection of anything you could possibly need. Another thing that makes Gator Hydroponics as good as it gets is the extremely knowledgeable staff. Another thing i love about this store is the fact that they sell used supplies as well. read more

I was looking online for a good 600w HPS set up for my grow room but I couldn't find anything of quality. Plus I hate buying online; I've had my identity stolen before by one of those online retailers. So while I was passing thru Gainesville back to Jacksonville I stopped in this really cool grow shop. They bought and sold really nice used grow gear. The sales dude really hooked me up with the nicest setup ever. I highly recommend you visiting them if you're looking for used lights. read more

Awesome staff and great prices! I went into the store for the first time a few days ago and was very surprised. The store had a lot of variety of products to choose from and very good prices. I also took up a lot of time with the staff there with my tons of questions but they were very patient with me and didn't make me feel rushed or that I was "bothering" them. Yet another excellent trip to Gator Hydroponics. The staff again was very knowledgeable and was able to guide me in the right direction. My plants are starting to turn yellow and curl and they recommended some nutrients (They even had organic nutrients available which is always a plus!) and tips on how to treat the issue. These guys had everything I was looking for. The staff was very knowledgeable, they helped me pick out the best hydrometer for my new 2x4 gorilla grow tent. The store was a little hard to find but worth the effort. One really cool thing I noticed was that they bought used equipment, not a lot of stores like to buy used equipment and I've never been able to sell used equipment online for very much. I drove all the way from Pville and was very surprised with this cool new grow store. They had a few grow tents set up and they carried my beloved FoxFarm hydro ferts. I plan on shopping here for a long time. The sales guy was very knowledge and I could tell he's been growing for quite a while. I never understand why some of these grow shops have people running them that don't know what they're doing. Check these guys out. read more

I wanted to start scrubbing my grow room for airborne bacterium that I think is attaching my plants. I didn't know where to start so I visited these guys at Gator Hydro in Gainesville. They totally set me up with everything I needed and even helped me by showing me how to install and run the ducting. I would have totally been in the dark if it weren't for them. I wanted to replicate my friends grow set up in his closet. He was producing the absolutely tastiest tomatoes I've ever had. Up until I visited this store I had no idea what to do.
