This is from the regular menu, which also sports a lot of familiar entries --- burgers, wraps, salads, fish and chips, even vegetarian options. Im down with this side of the Silver Birch; the actual kitchen/restaurant looks like it's on the other side of building (separate), so I can't speak to that but I would like to try it sometime. In any case, I like the joint better now than what it used to be, which was a Chinese restaurant; it's airier and lighter and has a better menu. There's karaoke, and the game room has plenty of entertainment. Also, it's located right on a roundabout, so getting into the small on-site parking lot can be a bit tricky.

Steve and I then shared an order of onion rings... man I haven't had those in a while and they were not disappointing at all. The beer... yes that was what our primary draw was to come here for. I got the the Row 14 which is a rice lager and this particular rice lager was Hopped. It was good! It had that nice graininess that you get with a rice lager in the flavor profile but with it being hopped it's a bit more bitter... a bit more of a bite. It wend good with the meal! We had another Old Market beer. This one was the Dark Ritual which was a dark lager. This was another good, solid beer also. Flavors to enjoy with this one are coffee, maltiness, roastiness, sweet with a smooth body. The restaurant location is cool. It's nice and spacious and comes across as kind of a college hangout (though I don't know if it really is). It also looks like you might even possibly get live music on certain nights. Old Market was a good, solid visit and is worthy of a return.

If you like to be greated with overly happy smiles and some fake sweet servers, head across the parking lot. But if you like real servers (and yes when busy, they are sometimes overwhelmed, but are a nice blend of workers to assist), a great menu and some outrageous meal deals to include breakfast as low as $2 bucks and daily burger deals with a side for $5 buck. Then this is a have to stop and enjoy the full bar with a nice blend of beers on tap. Sit out and people watch on the open patio when the warmer weather is in town or sit by the fireplace when it's cooler. I've been to this place a few times. I like the food although the waitresses suck. If you want a good waitress go When the little blonde girl is working. She's the only one who knows what the hell she is doing. They have awesome $5 burgers on Tuesdays. The other server girl always looks like she's stoned and hates working with people. She knew nothing about the menu and didnt know a thing about the drink specials. I don't wait too long for my drinks the week night bartender is nice we like her. This place isn't a bad place. The owner moved out of state and the crazies took over the asylum. This bar has steadily gone downhill in the last year. The food is terrible and extremely small portions, the drink prices are ridiculous and the crappy attitudes of the staff is just too much to have to endure. As a last ditch effort to try to recover the revenue that they have obviously been losing, they made the joint "family friendly" now in addition to lousy service, high prices and crappy food, you have to put up with kids running around the place. Do yourself a favor, drive past this dump, don't stop, go anywhere other than Gators if you value your health and sanity. read more

This place I've referred tond of people, it just took 1 time for the Bartender ruined my experience by passed me 4 times and when I mentioned I am here for breakfast she snapped at me wait your turn. Wow I couldn't believe what she said next when I tried to explain, verbally assured me if I was still bitching we ith her demeanor that if I said another word she was going to not take my order. Sad 2 ,years of coming here it just took 1nasty attitude toloose a ton of business. Bye Bye. I will never ever step on the premises again. Frustrated because both times I went in recently to kareokee the KJ started over an hour late- then got pissy with us for asking when she was starting. Just saying, if your are going to advertise a start time maybe your KJ shouldn't be sitting at the bar feeding her face for an hour- get the music going! Overall we like this place for its many TV's and sports options. It's clean and has a nice fireplace seating area. The menu isn't anything special and is typical bar food but decent for what it is. Soups have been above average. The black mark against it is the service, especially on the weekends. Very slow and very inattentive. If it wasn't convenient to our location we wouldn't make a point of going there. read more
