7/05/26 went had a old fashioned while waiting for the Cobb salad. finished the Cobb salad and my drink. a couple of hours later, I became violently ill. After vomiting several times, I drove to the hospital, I was admitted as my blood pressure was measured at 187/120. blood was drawn and a ct scan was administered with contrast. The ct scan was reviewed by the physician and his opinion was "you had a bad Cobb salad". I personally will never visit this establishment again. Do at your own peril. read more

Just a gem... so glad we found this place. Amy and Anna were great bartenders, and the patrons were very welcoming. We shared a burger and it was absolutely delicious! Loved all the bar area and they had pool tables and slot machines. We watched football and it was a great time. Small world ran into someone who used to live in our neighborhood in California... This is the best place to go for good service, friendly company, and food is good too. If you like the dive bar scene and a place that feels like home. You'll love the Speak. Hotel and gas are right next door. The patrons are loyal, and the staff is loyal to all patrons and even new comers. Stay at the hotel and get fuel. But please stop in and say hello. Worst customer service ever! the bar manager needs to be fired and she obviously drinks behind the bar based on her reaction over me getting irritated based on what I experienced was sitting waiting for a drink for ten minutes had an empty glass in front of me to let her know I would like another one I politely didn't want to say anything was grabbing my third beer went out with family for karaoke night she's busy laughing with the other bartender serving her regulars ignoring the other customers and I finally ask excuse me when you're free can I get another modelo please she just looks at me with a blank stare and two min later she finally grabs it for me and she doesn't place it down she just holds it out so I grab it from her i see her bickering with the other bartender staring at me she walks over to my table whispers in my ear telling me to drop the lil attitude and that she's not the one and reaches over me to grab my drink from me so she threatens and touches me so I use my arm to hold her off i stand up and I told her to not f touch me I will leave, ask me to leave but you don't reach over me trying to grab my drink from my hand or touch your customers and she was slurring her words saying oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to touch you lady needs to be fired and I don't understand how bartenders like that complain about a tip when they treat new good paying customers poorly will gladly not be going back to this dump. read more

This place was quiet which was disappointing cause the bartender was delightful and the drinks were solid. They have VP as well.

been coming here for several years. Mostly, we just get a beer and talk about our golf game. It is a nice spot off the Hwy and Carman Drive. It is also an off track betting establishment. To the left at entry is a breakfast diner. It's reasonable, just less and less busy over the last years. Not sure why. The bar is sporty, nice half u-shaped counter and assorted tables and video lottery. They added a patio out back --- it's quite a nice addition. It is reliable, no frills. Lately, noticed safe COVID practices with plexi - shield. Attentive staff. I usually order a draft IPA. read more

Not sure about the restaurant (it was closed), but the bar...a complete dive. Seriously thought I was in northern Idaho. I was very disappointed that they didn't have champagne or wine. On a good note...there's slot machines...? Random. Speakeasy??? I would think a "saloon" would be more fitting. read more

I was ID which was no big problem, until my card was then handed off to somebody else then told my ID looked fake . Not sure what was the case when I've had the same ID since 15. When I asked I was told to not get so "crazy" . I was being at room volume and spoke politely. I was then "allowed" to drink but the vibes were completely off so I ended up leaving. read more

This place is good for what it is: a local dive bar with good drinks, competent and friendly bartenders, a juke box with good music (depending on who's feeding it) and pretty good pub grub. There's also tables and chairs out on a covered patio out back for the smokers. We spent a couple of happy hours there while staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. There is also a front dining room which is family friendly as it does not have a bar. In other words, it's a basic diner. read more

Only true great dive bar in the area!! Really cool environment and people. The awesome bar tender with the pink bangs is so fun. Great tasting, strong drinks. The people are fun. There are regulars here who come every day and some who show up every once in a while. Video poker in the house and pool is free after midnight. Great place to stop in if you live in the area. Not sure what's really going on here. It's a video poker/cocktail lounge/ skeezy dive bar. It was dirty and people were still able to smoke inside! Not my cup of tea or glass of beer. The front is a fully set up diner but with no patrons or employees. Strange. They place just doesn't seem warm and friendly at all. As well as it's seems dirty. I guess to sum it all up it's a dive. One of my favorite haunts in Lake Oswego. Stop by here every time Im in town, convenient location. Friendly and welcoming staff, good beer selection and reasonable drinks, love the casual atmosphere. I stopped here because I was in the area during rush hour. I was hungry, and would rather sip a beer and watch sports than sit in traffic. It is a really fun casual place with a lot of regulars.
