Contacted Gavin about several eletrical items based on his positive Yelp reviews. He was clear about terms and conditions and gave a good price. He was delayed by another job so we had to reschedule the time to review the work and give a bid; he was on time the day of the work and worked efficiently to replace a bathroom fixture, replace an outdoor motion sensor light, replace 2 Lutron dimmer switches, and diagnose flickering pendant lights. His talents really shined in troubleshooting the BR fixture install (as 1 of the glass scones wouldn't unscrew easily) and the filckering lights (as the existing dimmer switch was not the right kind for the fixture which had been previously installed by a Diamond certified licensed electrician but the new dimmer made the other light on the dual switch - which previously never was an issue - have a problem); he was able to fix both of these tough issues and weeks later all is still well. Gavin individually solved an electrical problem for us that 2 other electrical companies could not. He took the time to carefully diagnosis the issue, whereas the other companies just seemed to do a superficial once over before trying to charge us an exorbitant amount for a huge, unnecessary project. We were having an issue where whenever the garbage disposal or microwave was used, the circuit breaker would trip in one of the bedrooms. We called 2 bigger name companies whose electricians could not figure out what was wrong. Their only solution was to suggest breaking open the walls and installing dedicated lines, but they even admitted that they weren't sure that would solve the problem. It would also have cost thousands of dollars. Gavin really seemed to want to solve the problem instead of just trying to gouge us out of our money. He took the time to look at different areas of the house and was able to trace the faulty wire to a different bedroom. He fixed the issue and we didn't have to break open any walls.
