I had to get a frenulectomy and gum transplant done. I really don't like going to the doctor, and dentists always seem to do so much probing and rinsing which hurts sensitive areas. Many of the male dentists I've had aren't gentle and have such large hands. I was very scared to get the surgery done, but Dr. Aaron was awesome! First, he explained what he thought could be done to fix my gum to protect the exposed root. He said he could recommend other periodontists but even from that first visit I sensed he was nice and caring. When I went to get my surgery, he explained what he was going to do and they put numbing gel on the areas before my Novocain shots. He told me that the worst of the pain was over after the first round of shots. Many doctors tell you similar things and I find they aren't true, but in this case he was right, that was the worst of the pain and honestly the shots felt just like pricks. It felt odd, but didn't hurt because of the gel. He was thorough and I got three rounds of shots to make sure I wouldn't feel anything during the gum transplant. He asked if I felt pain and only when I confirmed I didn't did he go to the next step. The surgery wasn't pleasant, but I was so thankful for a caring doctor and I knew he was doing his very best. Through the surgery I didn't feel any pain and he made sure to ask if I was doing ok and if I had pain he would give me more Novacain but he worked so fast it didn't have time to wear off. He gave me updates when he was stitching and said I was doing great, it was so encouraging that I didn't have to bear this much longer. I couldn't even tell when he cut my frenulum. He put on a special bandage for the roof of my mouth and putty on the area with the new gum tissue. He gave clear instructions on what to do and eat and explained what the bandages did and that it was good if they stayed on as long as they could. I left and got my pain prescription. Slowly the numbness went away and I felt a bit lightheaded but only mild pain. After the first day I didn't need to take my pain meds anymore. I didn't have any pain and only a bit of bleeding. Later in the day, he even called to check in on me from his cellphone number. Not many doctors do that! He honestly was the best dentist I've ever had. I would not have wanted anybody else! I did as he told me and now I have healed and my root is no longer exposed and the gum looks great- almost like new! He thought he may be able to only cover half my root but it ended up that the gum around that tooth is just barely lower than my other teeth. I just had my checkup this week and he was happy with how it looked and I am so happy I don't have to have a touch up surgery! He was so gentle and nice, I thank Jesus that Dr. Aaron was my doctor for such an unpleasant surgery. read more

I had such a good experience with Dr. Aaron. He is very considerate and dedicated to doing the job right. I had to get gum grafts and was really anxious about it but he was really reassuring. When he did the numbing injections it was about as painful as a hangnail and after that the whole experience was less traumatic than some teeth cleanings I've had. The whole time he was working, he let me know what he was doing and gave me a head's up before each step. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call or text him anytime if I had concerns, and at the end of the day he texted me to check in and see if I was recovering ok. The next day it was painful, of course, but that's what the Vicodin is for :) and after that it was almost pain free. Then that Sunday I thought one of the grafts looked a little funky (it was at a site where there had been very little original gum tissue to work with) so I took a picture and texted him. He responded immediately and asked if I would like to meet him at his office so he could take a closer look at it (at 5pm on a Sunday!) so I went in and he checked it out and said it was fine, which really gave me peace of mind. I just got the stitches out today and it's all healing well; he said the side that had looked a little funky early on is a little lumpy/bumpy looking still (I hadn't even noticed) and that when it's all healed if I don't like the way it looks, he'll do a cosmetic fix for free. Which is definitely not necessary, I'm really not that concerned about the cosmesis of my lower gum line, but I was still really impressed that he would offer! And he also said if at any point in the next 5 or 10 years I'm dissatisfied with his work that he would fix it for free. No one wants to go to the dentist, let alone a periodontist. I can't honestly say this would be one of my top 5 choices of places to go, if time and money were no objective. However, since I needed to go I can say honestly that the experience was nearly painless, both literally and figuratively. Let's start with the reception desk. Sherry is always smiling, courteous, helpful. She looks you in the eye and gives you her full attention. The waiting room is small but you're not there long because they seem to do a good job of scheduling. I never waited past my appointment time. The restroom is large, clean. And this is a very small thing ... there's a hook in the examining room for your coat or purse. I know...it seems insignificant but if you've ever had to put a coat or purse on the floor you will appreciate that someone took the time and effort to think this through and provide a small convenience. If they are thinking of something this small they are probably thinking of larger ways to make a patient feel comfortable. Next, the assistants and hygienists are all capable, caring and personable. Again, they made me feel as comfortable as I could reasonably be. From time to time I actually thought, "I think I'm relaxed!" rather than tense and stressed. Now, Dr. Aaron is really as good as they come. I had no pain. I don't mean "only a little" I mean I never filled the prescriptions for pain meds, had no discomfort (less than 1 on a scale of 0 to 10), no bleeding. Dr. Aaron's staff and Dr. Aaron himself are absolutely fabulous to work with in every aspect, from the starting point of getting a procedures set up , knowing the pros and cons of having vs. not having the procedure, and also to the assist with information and understanding from the office staff about what your insurance carrier will assist with and the patient's understanding of same. For the surgical procedure itself, ( I had a gun grafting surgery performed)- Dr. Aaron explained to me as he was performing what was happening and did a marvelous job in his level of expertise of providing as pain-free of a surgical procedure as possible, and he and his staff were vigilant about making me as comfortable as possible. The follow-up care immediately post-op was just as excellent and thorough and Dr. Aaron was very compassionate about advising how to deal with pain, prescribing necessary meds. and counsel about using these safely. His support staff was knowledgeable, capable and very kind also at every level of the procedure. The follow-up visit was very welcoming and Dr. Aaron does not ever make you feel rushed or is he ever reluctant to assist with any questions and concerns. I was scared to death about having a skin graft done on my gums, but Dr. Aaron and his staff made it so easy, uncomplicated and effortless on my part. The procedure was virtually pain-free. i have never left any review ever before today but was treated so poorly by the staff at dr aarons practice i have no choice. very rude and uncaring lady working behind the desk acted like she didnt want to help me and bad attitude, there is no sign posted stating that if you cancel a prior appointment that you have to pay $50 penalty just to set another appointment, but i was charged and given a very distant appoinment on purpose even though my condition warrants getting me in as soon as possible because of extreme pain and infection. they didnt and dont care about anything but your money and act like you are an inconvenience to them. read more

I have been going to Dr. Aaron for sometime. Today I had a jaw tooth removed, and was very nervous.
