Gavriel is amazing. I grew up in Flushing and I think I remember seeing his shop in another location. I took my son's favorite shoes, black and white Jordan's to replace the worn out heels. I went to other places to ask and they gave me random replies. Gavriel explains it that he'll make it look almost new and I was so happy with the results. All done in one hour. He's a treasure and so nice! I will come back soon with all my shoes that needs work. He is skilled and honest.

Gavriel shop repair shop reminds me of my childhood when I walked by such a shop on the way to / off school. This shop is located on the subfloor inside of a quiet plaza, where is fully equipped with all those old fashioned, museum grade machines. It is enjoyable should you choose to wait on a day-bad, and seeing through the glass, to see this man is busy on you shoes.

Gravriel repaired my shoes. I went to a different cobbler before for fixing the bottom of the Dr Marten, but I should have just came here because the quality of the repair is much better. The service was very quick as I was able to pick up the next day. For the quality workmanship, it's a great value! At the end, I gave extra tips.

My new shoe taps. Realized I should have taken the sad state of the original taps.

The cobbler I normally go to is no longer there. Everytime I remember to get my shoes fixed, I didn't have my shoes on me to inquire about pricing. Otherwise, when I see my shoes, I would say I need to get my shoes fixed. I finally remember to bring my shoes now all I need is to find a cobbler while in Flushing. Shoes are cheap. Why not get another pair? My shoe issue is the shoe tap on each shoe needs to be replaced otherwise the shoes look fine. When I first came here, the store was closed so I was disappointed. Gavriel came to open the door and I inquired about the cost of the taps. $10 for the tap replacement and it would take 10 minutes if I want to wait. Of course, I will wait since I can wear my shoes again. $10 for the hassle of looking for new shoes or breaking it in... definitely! He is a professional cobbler. He is efficient and took less than 10 minutes to replace the taps. I did check out the work while he went to get the buff to wipe my shoes. My shoes look brand new. He polish and shine the shoes too before returning the shoes to me. That is fantastic since truthfully I wouldn't have shine my shoes when I got home. Glad I got shoes to wear again and don't need to buy new shoes. If you need a cobbler, try Garviel.

In the basement level of a mall. Modest looking shop doing quality work at reasonable price. The cobbler is a nice guy. $5 for a shine. My boots heel was well worn, especially on the outer side of my foot, and he fixed it like new! ($25, shine included).

I was looking around for somewhere that made keys and they're usually in small shops all around Main Street but I didn't want to walk deeper into Flushing. Came across this handy place. It was quick and the owner was very nice! Bedside manners go a long way... Once you walk into the mall, you go down the stairs and he's the first shop you see on the left. He repairs shoes and also cuts keys. It's actually on the cheaper side too. $1.50!!! Definitely going back in the future.

The shop is in the basement, the stairs are toward the back of the ground floor of the mall.

I was referred here by the upstairs tailor. The cobbler is very skilled- superior craftmanship-- and he is also honest. He fixed my leather pumps that were scuffed/ had a bit of leather coming off on the spot!! Less than 5 minutes and it looks wonderful!!! Perfect, really. He also softened my ballet flats. He charged me $2. I really tried to pay him more because I honestly felt that his work merited it. Gave him a $10, he returned with $8. From now on, I'm coming here with my shoes.. What a great cobbler!!!

Widened and shined my boots for $7

I paid in full - no receipt given and he didn't ask for my name or phone number. LOL. I said, will you remember me? He said yes. I went back 2 days later and he asked me which ones were my shoes (haha!!) and I had to point to my bag. However, for $18 you can't go wrong.

Workmanship 0 : I wouldn't get my Louboutins soles repaired…read morehere. I specifically asked to do red sole. He said yes and when I came to pick them up. My $800 pumps looks like $20 fake piece of shit with the ugliest looking black rubber role on the red sole. I wish he asked me b4 ruining my favorite shoes or not did anything. He said he was going to but couldn't find my number and instead went ahead and placed a black rubber sole despite my request not to. It is visible from the back. Price 0: He charges a lot for cheap jobs. He charged me $220 for a few pairs of shoe repairs and none of them were cleaned. He charged $35 to make designer shoes look like fake. Doesn't even look fixable. Essentially lost a few thousand dollars. Service 0 Mr Lin lacks intelligence why people would get their shoes fixed for $35 a pair. Can't comprehend that he should call customers before putting on a black sole when I specifically told him not to put on a black sole on top of the red soles. I wanted to give better rating because Mr. Lin seems like a nice person but his workmanship is poor. Who repairs cheap shoes these days? It is cheaper to buy another pair of cheap shoes. Most people get their shoes repaired if it is worth fixing. He made my designer shoes worth-less. If you have a cheap shoes that has sentimental values, might be ok to go get them repaired by him. If you have anything that's more than $200, don't come here. One of the worst shoe repairs. Go elsewhere.

I totally agree with Elaine about the owner. He is rude and just terrible with customers…read more I needed to fix the heels for a pair of my boots and I thought it would be an easy thing to get done in Flushing. I saw the sign for this place and went in. You need to speak Mandarin to get any service here, but honestly, don't even bother coming. The owner is a major asshole. He didn't seem to want to help me at all. I asked him if he could repair my heels and he said he couldn't get to it today and I would have to leave it for a few days. I then asked if they could be ready tomorrow and he said no. So then I asked if they could be ready by Thursday (Thanksgiving) and he said that is an American holiday and he didn't know if he would be open, and that his wife would make that decision. So basically, he couldn't tell me when the heels would be repaired. He didn't seem interested in helping at all. I told him there was a Mr. Lin down the street that could repair shoes within half an hour and he said, "well go there." This guy was rude, unhelpful and didn't seem like he cared to make any business. I advise not going here to get your shoes fixed, go to Lin's shoe repair and without the hassle.

So after waiting half an hour (not 15 minutes) he shows me that he has polished the tips of my boots.... like he DID ME A FAVOR, I didn't ask for it and realized that in different lighting the black ink used was different from my boot color. Yup still hate this place.
