Bought a replacement snap back but can't sew... so I took it to a tailor to see if they could fix, but I was referred to a shoe repair shop whose machines could pierce through the plastic to stitch back in place. Was ready to give up but went to JK Shoe Repair since I was around the corner... and lo and behold, he said he should be able to fix. Quoted me $10 and told me to come back tomorrow. Picked up earlier today and it looks good as new. Paid the quoted $10 and walked out the door (literally a store front) and was about to get in my car when the owner ran out to give me $3 back... he gave me a discount! I was actually willing to spend the $10 so that was a bonus! Will definitely repeat business when I have shoes to repair.

Can't comprehend that he should call customers before putting on a black sole when I specifically told him not to put on a black sole on top of the red soles. I wanted to give better rating because Mr. Lin seems like a nice person but his workmanship is poor. Who repairs cheap shoes these days? It is cheaper to buy another pair of cheap shoes. Most people get their shoes repaired if it is worth fixing. He made my designer shoes worth-less. If you have a cheap shoes that has sentimental values, might be ok to go get them repaired by him. If you have anything that's more than $200, don't come here. One of the worst shoe repairs. Go elsewhere.

I found this place since I was going to be in Flushing to eat. Obviously, hunger is always the first priority then it's errands I've been putting off forever. The repair shop is in the basement. Gavriel looked at my purse and knew exactly what to do. He's been working in that same shop for 30 years which is amazing in itself. He fixed it in 5 minutes and it looked better than I bought it! He only charged me $10 which was much cheaper than other repair shops who quoted me $20. Please support his small business, he's such a kind man and does excellent work.

Additionally, I'm going to the game today that starts at 4 (he closes at 6) and I'm leaving tomorrow. If you can't fulfill the job, don't agree to do it. If I had agreed to let him do it and come back in a couple hours, I know it would have been a rush job and everything he would have done would have come undone.
