The receptionist that I spoke to informed me that the owner was very busy and could not get to my address until the end of the week beginning of the following week. I informed her that, that was fine. When she asked for my address, she informed me that the company had been to my address before. Since I was new to the area, I stated it must have been the previous owner because I had just moved to the area. She informed me that the owner would call before he arrived which was fine with me. I waited, but no call. I called back the middle of the following week and was told the same thing that the owner was very busy and would be there by the end of the week, beginning of next week which was okay with me. The following week the same thing happened, the owner was a "NO SHOW." When I called back for the third time, the receptionist informed me that he was very busy, that he was backed up with calls for five weeks and would not be able to get to me. We were only looking for an estimate to get the job done and if it meant that next spring would be the answer, that would be okay too. She informed me that he had been to my address a couple of years ago and never heard from me since which was the reason he wouldn't come out. She was informed that I never had anyone to give me an estimate for a lawn sprinkler system to my house before. She said, "Well, he won't be coming to give you an estimate!" They did ok, although routinely made me wait most of the day when having a morning appointment, and sometimes would come without the needed tools/parts and have to come back a month later. In the last year, they've left one of my watering zones non-operative, basically giving up on it. There was one tech who knew what he was doing, but they also often sent others who didn't. This year was the final straw though. A couple of months ago, they scheduled my system turn-on appointment for June, having no earlier appointments. I had reminded them that the system needed repairs and to make sure they bring the right tools. I then waited, watering by hand for a month, thinking they'd finally come in June and turn it on. I re-scheduled my meetings for that day, to be available for the technician. The morning of the appointment, they called me and said that they're not coming after all, because the tech has decided he doesn't know how to repair my system. Why couldn't they have told me they were giving up when I first made the appointment, so that I wouldn't have wasted a month and could have found someone else? Within a few days, I then found a local business who services residential irrigation systems and they had everything working in about an hour. Looking back, I can't believe I put up with the poor customer service and lack of technical expertise on the system they had been servicing for years (even before I bought the house). Pretty sub-par experience overall.
