I clearly stated that I was offered store credit or exchange. 2. Great that it's posted on a receipt that is given AFTER purchase. That's super helpful... 3. When I bought the ring I wasn't near the register. 4. I made it clear when buying the ring that I didn't know if he would like anything and said I would ether exchange it or return it. Going into detail saying I would get his mother in Turkey to find the ring he wants if he doesn't like these!!! Where it was NEVER SAID returning wasn't an option!! 5. I never said there was a defect with the ring!! Just who knows what is wrong with any of your jewelry for having such policy. 6. Yes I choose nether because I didn't want any of those options. What give you guys more money for something we don't want!!

When we arrived at the store, the initial experience was normal and professional with the First Lady that greeted us.(Unfortunately, I can't remember her name; she was professional.) I needed my 1ct platinum engagement ring, 1ct platinum wedding band, and a gold bracelet repaired. We received a cost estimate for repair, and we agreed on the repairs. We got a receipt with the jewelry breakdown, and I noticed that the engagement ring had no GIA serial number listed; my diamond is GIA certified . So I asked for the GIA serial number to be listed on the receipt for security on both my end and the store's end. Michelle proceeded to involve herself when I asked the store associate to please include the diamond GIA inscription number. Michelle asked me why I needed that included and got offended that I even asked and proceeded to tell me that they are a reputable company for over 20 years. I told her I just need it so when I pick up my ring, I'm certain it's the same one I dropped off. (This should be standard in all jewelry stores.) She then grabbed my ring and dropped it and became very aggravated with me. She claimed she couldn't even see the inscription because it was small. Her brother, Chris, told her what loop magnification to use, and she told me to look at it myself, and they would write it. Michelle, I can't believe you have been in business for 20 years and you don't know how to use a basic loop. Shame. I was made to feel like my 1ct was insignificant and small to see the inscription. After that bad experience paired with Michelle's attitude , I requested to cancel the repair. Michelle asked me why I felt like I needed to cancel only because of the inscription. I said it was for my comfort, and I no longer felt comfortable. I received all my jewelry back and left the store. I feel like it's important to post about my experience in this establishment because I still don't understand what I did wrong to be treated differently. Microscopic verification is a must. I should not have to request this!!! Michelle needs to look deep within herself and ask herself why she felt the need to treat a customer the way she treated me today. I was heartbroken to have paid a good deal of money for it, and I wanted it fixed immediately. Regarding making my wedding ring larger, two Bronx jewelers informed me that my wedding ring could not be made bigger because it has a feather-like design on it and it would be ruined if altered. (Palmer Jewelers was able to do it and you couldn't even tell anything had been done to it). Palmer Jewelers to the rescue! The three women who work there are exceptionally kind and considerate, even offering me water, as it was quite warm outside. The pendant was repaired and my ring resized in a few weeks. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a professional jeweler, who really did a fine job on my jewelry. Also, they have exquisite jewelry for sale. The ladies who work there go above and beyond to be kind, compassionate and professional.

The ring was a gift from the staff of P.S. 151Q, when I retired over twenty years ago. Jay, the owner was kind and very professional and totally fastidious about cleanliness. He examined my ring and explained that what I thought was a missing stone was actually a "junction" space, but that there was a stone at one end of the design that was cracked and needed replacement and the one that I originally came in about. He took pictures, measured, took my information and told me he would need two weeks. I paid the very fair price, and was surprised to get a text on Wednesday that my ring was ready. The ring that my grandson picked up for me yesterday was absolutely gorgeous, shined and polished and sparkling with its two new diamonds.
