The folks in the jewelry store were so patient! I limped into the store again on the 7th of May. My rings were so beautifully repaired, they took my breath away! I feel so fortunate that after almost 3 years, I get to wear them again. And we struck a very acceptable deal for the items I sold. Honest, professional, friendly. I walk in there, expecting to just drop the chain off and pay some money for the repair job, but the guy working behind the counter (who I think also co-owns the place???) took my chain to the back for literally 30 seconds and then came back with it good as new and told me it was free of charge. He even gave me an old-fashioned handshake at the end like we were longtime friends. Made me feel like a special man walking out of that place. At any rate, if you live in the East Village or anywhere near it, don't go to any other store for your jewelry repair.
