I talked to the owner who said I should sue them, but I'm too poor to do so. Please don't take your vehicles here. Now my father, a cancer patient, is without his truck and I'm trying to get him mobile so he can make appointment. A real classic act. These people are crooks, short and simple. I brought them a two page readout from an express oil change place I'd used just for my oil change. The guys at Almost Auto Service were kind enough to check out my car for any routine maintenance and repairs as well as walk me through why the recommended services from the express place were largely made up to drive up the bill. In the end, all I needed was a new air filter. Can't recommend them enough for the honest, friendly, and quick service.

The DIFFERENCE of Amigo Auto is that when I called to discuss, my service advisor did not try to upsell me on things that could wait and ended up giving me a good deal on replacing my control arms in my Tacoma. I tried to clarify asking, how much is it going to be? He said, "the price I quoted earlier", which in my mind was 160. I would request the staff to quote the figures clearly more than once in words that non native speakers can understand. It feels like they took advantage of me. Feels very icky. And this took almost 4 hours. If you bring the car for a small thing like an oil change, be on the watch for a long process of expensively unnecessary things to be done to your car. In spite of seeing reviews about the "grouchy" guy in the front my experience was anything but that. First there was Bobby who looked kind of rough but he was very nice and after I told him the problem with my car told me that they would look at it right away and got the owner Jeff. When I saw the back brace on his back and told him that I had lumbar spine surgery 2 months ago we got into an interesting conversation about that while they got my car on the rack and Jeff was looking at it. Then Jeff came and got me to show me the damage. My car is an old but reliable 2007 Toyota Camry. I was hoping that the joint connecting the muffler to the catalytic converter could be soldered but there was so much corrosion the joint and catalytic converter needed to be replaced. It was expensive for me on a limited fixed income but much lower than other places. Jeff told me that it would take about an hour but it was about 45 minutes. I told Jeff and Bobby about the negative comments about the "grouchy" guy and asked which one it was. They pointed at each other and we all started laughing. Jeff said that he doesn't look at the reviews. I told them that I thought that they were funny and delightful.

The mechanic said the belt was structurally intact and looked new but was responsible for the sound. He said he sprayed it with WD 40 which eliminated the sound but informed me it would come back eventually. He told me I could replace the belt to eliminate the sound permanently or I could pass on replacing the belt as it was still functioning properly and brand new. Definitely a mechanic I will be back to visit as I know they are not trying to stick me with random charges for parts I don't need.

I brought my 1998 BMW M3 to Eurofed to address a fork issue caused by a failed pivot pin. I had…read morealready replaced the master and slave cylinders, and all I needed was for the transmission to be removed, the pivot pin replaced, and transmission reinstalled. Instead of quoting labor for the actual work needed, I was given a $2,649 quote based on a template for a full clutch replacement, which includes parts I never authorized or needed like clutch disc, flywheel, pressure plate, etc. When I pointed out that I wasn't replacing any of those components, I was still told I'd have to pay 10.5+ hours of labor as if I was. The service advisor, Henry, refused to quote me based on the actual job. He acknowledged that I wasn't replacing the clutch, but still insisted on charging me full clutch replacement labor. I was also charged $240 for a diagnostic that involved assessing the transmission removed. Still then quoted nearly $3,000 just to reinstall it with a $9 pivot pin. When I asked for a breakdown based on the real work, I was told no. They would not adjust the quote, even though factory labor time for E36 trans R&R is around 5.5-6.5 hours. I walked away because I will not pay for parts and labor that aren't being performed. This experience with Henry, the service advisor, was disrespectful, misleading, and unprofessional. If you know anything about your car, beware as he expects you not to.
