Pep boy location denied receipt of tires, even though FedeX required a signature for delivery. Pep boy store manager said FedEx delivery driver signs for them! Absolutely ridiculous! Police report was filed for "lost" tires, as this was the second delivery in the same week that was misplaced by their shop. I encouraged supplier to pursue legal action against Pep Boy location for two missing deliveries. Save yourself the trouble and go to Discount Tire, which is located on the same street. My refund for 3 of 7 tires is still pending... STAY AWAY!!! read more

I want to warn people about Pepboys. Two times i went in to this store after recently purchasing four new tires. I was quoted a price for 285/60/20's and was happy to hear the price. However, when I got my truck back and took a closer look I saw where they put 275/50/20's on my truck. I went back in and two times the guy at the counter was rude and the second time he stayed outside sitting on the sidewalk and wouldn't wait on me. This is an older guy who shouldn't be working around people. My first trip in he was short and kept saying I don't know about everything I asked. The second time he sat outside and completely ignored me. I am so sorry I trusted these guys with my tires. David is better and called me but they want to charge me 850 more to get what I thought I was getting to start with. Needless to say I am pissed. I may not be done with these guys either. read more

After leaving the location on Main Street with no assistance from that staff, I ventured off down the street to see if the next location would be of any help. The guys here were awesome! I found a parking spot and pretty much was seen right away. I have a fleet of turo cars and did not have time to run one of my vehicles to the dealer so Pep boys really saved the day. The service was awesome! They explained everything to me and proceeded to assist me with getting setup with a fleet account. The pricing initially was pretty expensive - way more than the dealer BUT the representative explained everything well and we were able to get some accommodations going as far as pricing for my account. With the service requested - I will most likely continue returning here for servicing my Turo vehicles. read more

I came to the Lilburn Store to buy Tires and I was looking for affordability and good quality, the front guy was kind and helped me I chose Goodyear but then I chose the buy 3 get 1 free Cooper Adventurer, the seller explained me thisone is better than Goodyear so I chose it. But they were busy and I decided I will come back, so I went home and falled asleep and they called me 2 times, when I woke up I called them to apologize I said sorry you called me I falled asleep and didn't answer, he said yes you didn't and he said goodbye and hang up on me. So while he didn't even gave me the chance to come next day I took time to check the reviews of the Cooper Adventurer and I read that is the worst tire of Cooper that doesn't last long. I went to Pep Boys as I was pretty sure one of my tires was not at the proper pressure. The store manager came out, checked my tire and said it was fine. When I got home I put my own good quality tire pressure gauge on the tire and it was ten pounds low. My guess is they want you driving around with low pressure so that your tire will wear out more quickly and they can sell you another tire. I no longer use Pep Boys for anything. read more

I can't say enough about this location. I had an issue with my BMW X5. The tires were shot, separating tread and just overall craziness. I came in unannounced looking for help like right now. I had a customer appointment in an hour and it didn't look good. Amir basically dropped what he was doing and engaged his whole team to work on the vehicle. One guy was hoisting, one guy was inflating, and the other was balancing. Amir (in his fancy manager shirt) rolled up his sleeves, put on some gloves and got in there to ensure the quality was outstanding. The pricing was reasonable but the service was great. Not all Pep Boys are the same but I can say that this location did its franchise proud today. Thank you Amir for taking me last minute and jumping in when you could have bumped me out a few hours. I saw the other cars in the parking lot. Everyone please stop by and give my man Amir and his team some love AND some business. His doing things the right way. I'll be back. They install battery in last minute becuase my car was dying. The man did it quickly.

Being the only customer, I assumed that my oil change + free tire rotation would not last as long as it did, but boy I was wrong. I waited 45 minutes as the manager barking a supposedly new (and lazy) employee for slacking off, not as if anybody else (including the manager) were doing anything. As if I needed anything else to help pile onto the gloomy environment, the dusty waiting rooms and broken vending machine only made me want to wait outside. Not only did I feel more out of place with the appalling waiting room, but the type of oil used in my car's oil change was not listed, nor was a sticker even placed over the previous one, & during my tire rotation, they never rotated any of my tires. Instead, PepBoys took off one of my fairly new tires and replaced it with a junky older tire with the wiring poking out. I recommend this place only if you do not value your time, money, or your vehicle or safety. read more

Absolute disaster. My BMW had the alternator belt break right in front of this location, and so I brought it there to be replaced. While there they did some other work as well, and quoted me a price. They had the car for a couple days, and told me it was ready. I drove all the way down there, and they tell me that the price is almost double what they quoted, and that my windows and door locks aren't working. I asked why I had to drive down there to find this out. The two guys working there began arguing over whether the part to fix the windows and locks (which worked before I brought it there) had been ordered. They then told me that the car isn't ready, so I had driven there for nothing. Now days go by with no word. I call to check in, and the guy on the phone tells me that he will call when it's ready. 2 days later, they did. The guy that called said they had replaced the new part, and now the price is more than double the original quote. And then the guy says, "Oh, by the way, your windows and locks don't work. So, I said, "Isn't that what you just replaced, that I wanted days to have done?". He says, yes, and they inform me that they don't have the BMW diagnostic tools to figure out the problem.... but they expected me to pay the $500 extra for the part they replaced, that wasn't the problem. I, of course, refuse to pay for that. After arguing with this guy and the manager, they agree to put the old part back, and remove that charge... and tell me I need to go to a BMW service center, because they don't have the tool to reset the computer. Hd they said that up-front, I could have gone to the authorized center and had that done DAYS ago! So, I go to get the car, and pay the bill that is still far higher than the quote. When I leave, the windows, locks, door sensors and blinkers all do not work (they all worked beforehand). I then take the car to the BMW authorized guy, who reset the computer (took 5 minutes), and he noted that one of the modules was burnt out, and likely do to them not replacing the battery properly. Now, here is the kicker. THANKFULLY the windows didn't work, as they didn't replace the battery properly, and it was not vented, meaning that the poisonous exhaust from charging the battery was exhausting into the car. As the BMW specialist said, without the equipment, and knowledge, they never should have attempted the work, and trying to poison me by installing the battery wrong is the ultimate example. These guys are a mess, they do things incorrectly, do not communicate, try to poison you, argue in front of you, forget what they ordered, don't get permission before doing work, misquote prices..... and to top it off... they broke my keychain. CLOWNS. But it gets worse. I actually contacted the corporate office, and was contacted back by Kim Brown, who had a regional manager call me. His name was Tim. He promised to take care of the issue, and NOTHING HAPPENED. I reached out to Kim again, and Tim called back... and was completely unprepared. New NOTHING about the actual issue. I contacted Kim AGAIN, and gave her an opportunity to take actual responsibility.... and she said that Tim was better to handle it. DISGUSTING! read more

Pep Boys 3965 Lawrenceville Hwy NW Lilburn, GA 30047 0n 2/14 I spent $1,578.67 on various repairs at the Lilburn GA Pep Boys. Immediately thereafter (literally on my way home) an ungodly new sound appeared. On 2/20 I paid $513.41 to get that one fixed. Shortly thereafter I received a "$100 reward" card via mail. Then the real nightmare began in earnest. On 3/15 I sent a question via "Contactis" on the Pep Boys website: "Hopefully an easy question. I received a Pep Boys Car Life $100 Reward Card in the mail. Might I get an explanation of what "eligible products or services" might be? On 3/16 I received the reply: "Rewards Cards can be redeemed for any purchase of products or services at any participating Pep Boys location." On 3/19, another submission to "Contactus": "Just to make sure I also called ahead to the store. Sure, oil filters and oil are covered. Today I went in to what I thought was a Pep Boys - as in signage inside and out, etc. I again asked what was covered on the way in but was told that only the "service" side was still Pep Boys." I noted that the information given regarding the $100 card appeared to be blatantly false. After reviewing the issue ad nauseum, I received this from Customer_Service@pepboys.com: "This is a gift card worth 100 dollars and is treated as cash in store. It cannot be used to purchase gift cards with nor pay your credit cards with, but on all other Pep Boys transactions it is used as cash." 3/24 sent to Customer_Service@pepboys.com: Why was it refused in the Lilburn store then? Is this a difficult question? Is there someone competent that can answer this question for me? 3/27 from Customer_Service@pepboys.com: "Thank you for reaching out to us. We do apologize for the poor experience. We can file a case on your behalf to be reviewed by Senior Management in which you will be contacted within 48 hours to resolve the issue. We would need your phone number and any other details you would like to include. Please let us know if you would like to proceed." All requested information was immediately sent. 3/30 from Customer_Service@pepboys.com: "Thank you for the information, we have documented Case#708450 and sent it off to Senior Management at the store to reach out and assist you further. They have a maximum of 48 hours to reach out and resolve. Should you not hear from anyone within that time frame, please contact us by calling our Customer Relations department at 1-800-737-2697. We do apologize for the poor experience you've had." The back-and-forth game has continued, without progress. At one point I requested Registered Agent information, but received no answer. Pretty much just delay tactics thereafter: from Customer_Service@pepboys.com: "We're sorry that this has not been resolved for you as of yet. We have updated your case accordingly and have requested that Senior Management reach out to you to have this addressed." Presuming that meant verbal communication with the inherent possibility of my being further "misled" I requested everything in writing from that point on. I really need to see this through, if nothing other than to hold Pep Boys accountable for what appears to be either a "bait and switch" scheme or just gross incompetence, or something else. read more

I have been to this location a few times. It was horrible due to the lack of professionalism from a now former employee named Mark. But thank goodness he is no longer there! There is a new vibe and a great attitude coming from this Pep Boys! I called and set up my appointment with the very professional Jasmyne. She is very knowledgeable on everything car and handled setting up everything. I needed to have my air conditioner compressor replaced at this location. The part that I needed for the repair was out of stock. I was so disappointed. Nothing worse than no air conditioner in your car in the Georgia dog days of summer. But the new manager Jeff went way above and beyond for me! He called all over for the part I needed and found it in a small town far away. Jeff had the part expedited and installed all in the same day. Richard (the awesome car mechanic),Jeff and Jasmyne stayed way past closing to have the job finished. I am very very grateful for them all. I will refer everyone I know to this Pep Boys for all car needs PERIODT. Thanks to Jeff, Jasmyne and Richard I am literally "chilling" in my car. I received such over-the-top positive customer service that I had to write a review. My car broke down 2 miles from this shop. I looked up other non-chain auto repair shops and called them. None of them could take my car and help me out. As a last resort called Pep Boys. David, The manager told me that they would tell me in and take care of everything from top to bottom. I was able to get the car started and show it up there 15 minutes later. He was very courteous and even offered us a complementary Lyft ride home. He diagnosed the problem and made our job a priority. Knowing that we have a family that needs that car, he jumped right into action. A major job was done in a short time and I was on my way. It may cost me a few extra dollars, but having someone to assist and cover all the bases for good customer service makes it worth it. I am now a pep customer permanently! Great job. read more

Im going to make this short and simple, this is one of the worst places to take your car yo. I mean if your car has an issue you'd be better off using it until it breaks down. I take my car there at 8:30 one morning for a loud noise I suspect I'd the throw out bearing (manual transmission) and talk to the guy at the desk, his name is Mark. Mark suspects it's the same thing. I wait three hours, no call so I call up there and ask about the status just to be told "the car has a lot going on." So I wait some more and still no call. Call again, same bs. Then I finally get a call a little less than an hour before they close and Mark us telling me that my car has a problem with the engine and they don't do that kind of heavy engine work there. I go get my car and look to find it's my Ac compressor that's making the noise and they were too lazy to open the hood. So instead they lied. This place is a joke. If you have jacks and a jack stand you basically have this pep boys. Take it to another one. Also he said "we don't do heavy engine work" but they were offering to replace an engine in another vehicle I own. Service has gone downhill at this location. Took my car in for oil change and for tire service. I requested which type of oil change I wanted and also requested a tire rotation and that they inspect one tire that was losing air. They tried to overcharge for oil change, did not rotate tires ( even though they listed it on invoice) and didn't inspect the problem tire.When I inquired about problem with tire, the service rep responded that he wasn't aware anything was wrong with tire (even though concerns were clearly listed on their service order).So my car goes back in service bay and he comes back in a couple minutes to say that there was nothing he could do since the tire had been run flat. I had questions because I'd never had this happen before but he was dismissive and gave me no advice whatsoever about what to do besides take it back to where I bought the tires. He couldn't even say if it was safe to drive home. To add insult to injury they didn't rotate the tires cause the problem tire is still in the same location on my car. I will not go back to this location and advise anyone who does to watch their vehicles while they're being serviced to make sure they receive services they request. read more
