This isn't your typical review but if your'e a Yelp Elite eating tons of amazing food around the world you may want to try this. I came to Geb Hetep to try a colonic for the first time. I was overindulging in food and drink and decided that I should probably try a cleanse. Tara was my colonic specialist and she made my experience very pleasant. The room smelt good (they are BIG on essential oils here), it was clean and the dim lighting all curated a very relaxing vibe. The session lasted about 45 minutes. Never once did Tara leave the room and for about 25 of those minutes she rubbed my stomach to get stuff moving. The entire time she explained what everything was, how it worked and what she would be doing before she did it. I was extremely nervous but Tara made me feel the most ease possible. The session was $95 and again lasted about 45 minutes. They will give you a gown to put on upon arrival as soon as you get in. This center is located in a Brownstone on a nice quiet block in Crownheights BK. I would definitely recommend and definitely be returning! read more

Update: Becasue of my issues, over my last few visits Dr. Ade started applying a lot more pressure. It pained and my body would shut down (tighten up) in defense which to me was counterproductive. I spoke with him about my concerns on this vist because he has always asked me to say what works and what doesn't for me. He listened, applied the amount of pressure I could tolerate and this vist was wonderful. I literally felt the tightness in my joints easing away. Thanks again Dr. Ade! You and your hands. I hadn't been to Get Hetep in close to 10 years. I recently visited to give my colon a reset. The facility is located on the first floor of a building. The room's blinds/curtains were not down so I was nervous someone could look inside from outside. I wish I could give a better review but I got no warning when the tube was going in or out. Tara World is a gift. I recently wrapped up a 3 hydrotherapy session package that I invested in at Geb Hetep. It was my first experience with Hydrotherapy having come from an incomplete, botched and abusive session at another center elsewhere in Brooklyn. I was understandably nervous. Tara put me at ease immediately and was so supportive. I couldn't have asked for a better healer to work with and an all around delightful person to know. Lystra was very calming and took away the nervousness of my first experience. She found the problem areas and kneaded them out with a gentle strength. I also booked the sauna which was a different experience for me, being used to a steamed sauna, it used infrared heat. There was a lot of privacy throughout the process. The shower feels like you're home. You don't need to bring anything as it is all provided except for deodorant if you wear it. I was thinking if there were any sanitary way to provide deodorant and came up with nothing, so I figure that's why. The price is a bit high but so is everywhere else without a groupon and I doubt those places provide the level of individual care. There is a current sale until the end of May and the bundles bring the price down. I hope to return sooner than later. read more

Colonics are 22-30 mins. It's definitely not the 45min-60 mins you get other places. Service is average and can be very unprofessional! I have been getting colonics for over seven years and when I left I didn't feel clean and light like I usually do because you're on the table for a short period. I just had a colonic here on Fri. the 26th. I was very nervous and apprehensive due to previous experiences. But much to my relief it was not painful at all, and it was very beneficial. I was paired with Ms Yocheved and luckily so. She has a less orthodox technique that seems to expel more gas and feces with the least amount of discomfort. She is very learned and explains what she will be doing and why. The atmosphere is very friendly and bright. Its quite comfortable and private. If you are thinking about getting a colonic, I would suggest this place...and Ms Yocheved, she has the experience and knows what she is doing. read more

Yocheved is amazing! I initially went in for one colonic, having not had one in ten years. I anticipated an uncomfortable experience. But Yocheved was so knowledgeable and supportive. The colonic was uncomfortable, but it was also interactive. She kept me busy! When she convinced me to come back for 2 more within the week, i had trouble imagining doing it two more times. But the next two were so much easier, and effective. I left each time feeling lighter and cleaner.
