Very clean and COVID safe
Beatrice H.

Love Erin always helpful with dietary advice goes above and beyond!!! Such a great place always feel so much better and totally comfortable. The colonic itself is fantastic!

Very clean.
Shaaray M.

I traveled all the way from Long Island because of the reviews and they definitely did not disappoint. Overall, great experience. Cassie was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about the procedure. Facility was very clean! I already made my next appointment :-)

Marsia R.

I was anxious because I didn't do good with the unknown but Red (I hope I'm not butchering her name) was super cool. She pretty much walked me through it explaining what I would experience and that helped to put me at ease. The worst part was getting the tube up there but it was smooth sailing afterwards especially knowing what was happening based off what she told me. Definitely see me making getting my colonic a regular thing.

Lay back and relax.
Sage B.

This was my first colonic and it couldn't have gone easier and more pleasant. A big part of that was because of RED she is the best and the funniest. I felt like I was talking to my best friend or a sister, Sagittarius sister. I was seen immediately had 10 gallons of water clean out my colon and walked out of there 50 minutes later. The room wasn't chilly it was a warm relaxing environment with soothing sounds from the playing recorder. I was also glad there was a toilet in the room but turns out I didn't have to be on it long. I was so glad to be drained out. My experience was a good one. Especially since I already only eat fruits and vegetables anyway. I wanted to get cleaned out before my trip and even though i felt a tad bit of pressure it wasn't an uncomfortable experience at all. I will definitely make this a regular routine, probably once a month and will book with Red because she made me feel comfortable. Thats a biggie for me. Glad I did it! It's a good thing to clean that old stuff out don't like being full of sh!t. Also forgot to add the reason I chose this place was because of the reviews on Yelp. I did my research first. I actually made an appointment with another place in midtown but I didn't like the ladies attitude on the phone so I cancelled and book with this place. Happy I did because I believe the experience starts from booking the appointment.

Ok, so look, it's delicate right, reviewing the colon cleaners, but I love a good, juicy (maybe…read moredon't use juicy) challenging review. Location for me is everything cuz I'm a creature of convenience, so having this place within walking distance of my work place (where I accumulate so much sh...stuff to begin with) is clutch! The place is CLEAN which can go without saying, but is absolutely the bare minimum of what is needed from a place collecting our most unmentionables (I can't help myself). A very friendly attendant/nurse? helps you to your room, and are standing before the Poop Collector, a massive system that's gonna fill you up so you can empty out (I can't stop laughing). Anyhoo, she explained that I'd be flying this poop mobile solo, which, EVERYONE wants to do...do. She talked through that first push and I was so happy to see her leave the room. For the next 30-45 minutes I experienced what can only be described as a trip through my dietary history, where with every push out I recalled all the horrible things I'd eaten to land me on this throne. Not gonna lie, after you get past the butt plug, water guts, and pool of your own soup that your butt is sitting in, it's a really good feeling. She comes back to explain that you gonna pop off the probe and then release them innards until you feel empty, the rinse off with a hose (that if you aren't careful can wet up the whole room) before baby wiping and getting dressed. I felt so cared for and decided that I would get the 4 pack cuz this gut is my main priority. In other words, clean your butt system here. You (and whoever is holding your sheets down at night) will appreciate it!

They have disposable slippers for when using the bathroom. Unlimited towels u can use. They got stacks of towels everywhere u can just grab and go, and not have to reuse the same sweaty towel the whole day. Tips- bring socks to wear while using the saunas if youre one of those germophobic people. Slippers arent allowed in those areas. Its been years since Ive last come and I just came over Memorial day weekend. I didnt have a reservation because I had expired gift cards from 2021 that I wanted to use (as face value) and I couldnt use them on the website. Tip: you can call them to make reservations. I didnt call because it was forecasted to rain and I didnt know if I really wanted to go there while it was raining. But i drove to them on a saturday morning anyway and decided to walk in. They initially wouldnt let me do a walk in as they were busy for memorial day weekend but after i told them about my expired gift cards, the manager agreed to let me and my husband come in. Anyway, place is huge. Pools were nice. Saunas were nice. The only room i didnt like was the Ganbanyoku (bed rock bathing). Maybe because it is located right next to the pools and everyone just walks in wet, but that room stinks like wet towels. Place also got pretty busy towards the afternoon so I recommend going early! It was mostly light rain throughout the day so we had no issues being outside in the pool. Food is not cheap and i wish they had more korean choices other than bulgogi rice. I was craving for korean soup noodle! Overall, i had a nice relaxing time here with my husband. Towards the end, we went back to our own gender bathhouses and gave ourselves 45 minutes to enjoy the pools in there and shower and then leave. We stayed at sojo for about 5 hours. I probably wouldve stayed longer if i had more free time to waste, but i had 2 kids waiting at home -_-

All the pool areas were crowded at 10am, so we couldn't even get in. The saunas were unusable because so many people were looking for a place to go that the doors kept opening every 15 seconds, preventing them from heating up properly. The quiet area with chairs was so crowded that people were using them like lounge chairs on a cruise ship, with one person holding a chair for six people's belongings. It just felt like a complete waste of money to pay for spa access. They are not trying to create a luxury spa experience, just 100% a cash grab. I booked a couples massage for my wife and me, and considering the $500+ price, I expected a luxury experience. We showed up 15 min early, as typically spas at this price point will offer tea, a relaxing environment, and go over where you'd like to focus your treatment before you begin. When we arrived, they told us to come back in 10 minutes, because we were too early. Then, when we arrived 5 minutes before our service, they still said they weren't ready for us to come back; it was a terrible start. I've had over a hundred massages over the past 10+ years, and at the 200$+ price point, this one was in the bottom 5 I've experienced. Just mediocre at best. To top it off, at the end, the masseuse hard-sold the oils/lotions they use, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I get a better massage at Bergen Spa in Brooklyn for $55, and given there was no high-end experience here, it's the same. I wouldn't come back even if they charged half of what they do. Horrible all around.

I was unaware of the medical emergency I was going to have at the time of our call. I felt a stomach cramp at the time I called and asked to reschedule, and it was something I planned to address in doc appts on Tuesday & Wednesday. Once confirmed, I wanted to reschedule the colonic to prioritize those appointments, since a cramp isn't a medical emergency but it was unpleasant. From your comment, it sounds in order for you to have shown compassion/flexibility, you needed every detail of my doctors appts, which I don't understand. Your tone when I asked to reschedule, even when it was shy of an hour's difference from the cancellation period, was abrupt and unprofessional. I wish I'd said then that I couldn't make it, but a stomach cramp is a common enough period/GI symptom I was hoping could resolve (and be addressed more holistically with my doctors the following days). I was unaware of the severity of what would then be a kidney infection until the time I chose to go to the ER. Again, a belly cramp isn't an alarming symptom on its own, nor something I thought indicative of relating to my kidney, but vomiting later was. I called that night as a courtesy, with the hope you'd hear it early am and inform the therapist before setting up. Also, I can still think and write a review with a kidney infection, especially after getting the medical treatment I needed to focus on rather than making it to a colonic appt. Your comments trying to diminish the validity of my emergency are untrue and show further lack of compassion. I left the review because people should know about your inflexibility/lack of compassion. I have been to Gravity twice before which constitutes a relationship, contrary to what you posted, and I asked about rescheduling (rather than canceling) on that call because I wanted to keep the relationship. Again, it was a (barely) 3 vs 2 hr time difference for cancellation, and would've been enough time to disclose to the therapist they wouldn't have to come in. Your manner on that phone call was abrupt and rude. That's another thing people should know before booking. Good luck to YOU in the future when conducting business this way, including the lengthy/over-share responses you leave to negative reviews. I hope they serve as further proof of your lack of professionalism to prospective clients - it should've to me.

First, I think the location is gorgeous and vibey with ambient lighting and candles everywhere. The music is calming and serene. I really enjoyed the bathhouse and thought that it was extremely spacious with 4 hot tubs of varying temperatures, a saltwater flotarium (my personal fav) and a steam room. Also, our massages were great--maybe we got lucky but Diana and Sean were great massage therapists and did an excellent job! I also loved the amenities in the locker room-- from the Dyson hair options to the other things like combs, moisturizer, mouth wash, etc., they truly had anything you could need to get ready after your experience. A few points of feedback: 1) A sauna would be nice! 2) The massage table face hole was extremely small for my husband (and I've noticed a few others stating the same. I personally didn't notice.) 3) It would make the experience soooo much better to be able to pick the order of when you experience the baths/massage. I'd much rather do the massage first, because when it came time for our massages we were wet, weren't offered towels to dry off, and then had wet robes and suits to put back on after the massage--yuck.
