Jalapeno chutney burger with local sustainable beef. Fries w mayonnaise. Delicious!
    Michael B.

One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Jalapeno chutney burger with fresh local beef, onions, tomatoes etc, artisan bun. Really great taste, texture and mouthfeel. FIRST TIME doing the mayonnaise on the fries business. Until now thought it was kind of gross (I prefer my fries with exotic mustards) but now strangely I'm kind of a fan. Small cozy place with large windows and young delightful servers.

I don't know why but if there's one word that pops into my mind when thinking about this place, that word is 'efficiency' This is the kind of place that does one thing and does it well: burgers! They are fast, they are big (the burgers), they are small (the space), and they managed to get a really cosy atmosphere in a crowded street, in contrast with the Albert Cuyp market right next to it. Parting thoughts: - tooo much caramelized onions, cut those down, they're not supposed to overwhelm the burger flavour - the fries are supposed to be just fried, not crusted. Damn, I felt like I needed Neptune's Trident, my wussy fork kept bending.. I had to resort to barbaric eating strategies #eatWithHands

"Hamburgers are now a great hype" A burger needs to smell and taste like one, the smell of hamburgers being cooked as you enter makes you want to eat with your nose... No, I didn't get that, It is a hot & trendy spot, it is noisy with the chairs. Summer patio is coming but I am sure the smokers will take over. Would I recommend this to a burger lover, no Will I go back, sure I need to try the truffle burger

2 weeks ago, it was during my exam week and I had a very bad craving for burger. That the reason why I came to this shop with my friend to fill our bodies with calories to survive hahahaah It's a huge burger. The bread buns was roasted in the ovens until nice and crunch. The grilled beef is just juicy. It came with a sunny side up egg and it was just amazing. The music was nice and the location is just too perfect for a walk after consuming tons of calories into the body hahaha. Anw, I will come again.

The lamb burger (the specialty of the week) was alright. The service here was fantastic. When we walked into Geflipt, we only had about 30-40 minutes to eat before the start of our canal tour. We explained the situation to the server, who agreed that he could try to get our food started a little earlier so that we would have enough time to eat. It helped that it wasn't super busy, but we got our food as promised and eagerly dug in. My burger was extremely tall, with a thick patty, and I had a hard time taking proper bites without having things slide out between the buns. Also, there wasn't enough of a flavor balance. The meat kind of overpowered everything without leaving room for the notes of vegetable and pickle to come through. But overall, it was a decent meal, fries included.

    Mouth-Watering and Amazing veggie burger.

I live in the US and cannot stop thinking about the veggie burger I had at Geflipt in Amsterdam nearly a year ago. It was beet-based and the most delicious veggie burger I've ever tasted. My husband's burger was delicious as well. If only it were not so far away.

Lobe this place. Not much hamburguers but its too comfortable and tasty. Ive just eaten the italian sandwich and apart from be too helthy was incredible. The different beers in that restaurant are awesome as well. I tecommend it.

Burgers in Amsterdam are kind of an art with each place giving their own spin to the American classic. This place was no different - three signature burgers, each carrying a unique flavor signature. I had the Geflipt - apply named with gasconne beef, bacon, cheddar, homemade red onion capote, Geflipt sauce and fresh fries. The burger was decent and a little pricy but overall a good dining experience.

I have a budger for take away, and what a surprise when I try it at house: the meat was not fully cooked! Never again!

I originally thought it was the German Burgermeister chain which we really liked in Lucerne. We were even more curious when finding out that it's a local burger spot with only 3 locations in Amsterdam. This one is located on Utrechtsestraat in the city center near Rembrandt Square. It appears to be a small space when you first enter. There's a downstairs kitchen with bar seating as well as a booth at the window. Their actual dining area is upstairs. We were greeted immediately and asked to sit anywhere. Our order was taken at the table. It was great service from the get-go! I think our biggest first impression was the cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms. You just don't see that level of clean just anywhere. The burgers here are exceptional. They are gourmet-type burgers that are cooked to order. We thought about getting fries with it, but decided not to after seeing the size of these burgers. I could barely eat it all. Our Mokum Cheese Burger was absolutely delicious and very juicy. I loved every topping. I can't name it all, but I know it had some type of aged cheese with a hint of horseradish in the sauce. The pickles were tasty. I wish I could give you every ingredient. All I know for sure is that it's made with Blonde d'Aquitaine beef. They have a cookbook for sale if you're interested. The drinks are varied from gin & tonic to beer, wine, and lemonade. I enjoyed their loose-leaf jasmine mandarin tea served hot. There's a little room upstairs for creative people who like to sketch. I saw some of them decorating the walls. Having a burger in different countries may seem uninspiring for some people. I've found it to be very telling of the local culture and flavor. Especially in restaurants that have a standard of high quality ingredients. This is one that I'd go back to when visiting Amsterdam. The service made it even better.

I believe the level burgerdom at Ter Marsch is good quality - yet mediocre in taste. The bun is stale. At least mine was. I'm not sure if it was intended to be in that condition. The burger is thick and juicy, but lacking in the fresh beefiness that I wanted. What sets it apart is the aioli sauce - really top notch. The lettuce fell out. Shredded lettuce would have been better. The problem was the hockey puck burger sat high in the middle of the bun. When you bite into it, you get a mouthful of bun, and the hockey puck gushes out the side. If you bite into the hockey puck the rest of the ingredients gush out the side and down your hand, and you're left with disintegrated stale bun pieces. Sweet potato fries were ok, and the truffle sauce sent it over the top. But honestly, it's middle of the road in Southern California Burger Land.
