I had heard positive experiences about consignment at this local jeweler. I left 4 items with them and they said it would take a couple days to look them over and get back to me if they were even interested in putting them on consignment. The owner stood 2 feet away from me and never acknowledged my existence. 3 weeks later I had heard nothing from them - so I drove back to get my stuff - and the owner couldn't even be bothered to walk out of his little glass hut and speak to me. I have used this location several times for battery replacement on my watches over the years and they always did a good job on the basics. So when one of my reserve invicta bolts crystal was damaged I brought it to them for replacement. When it was returned to me- the crystal was raised and in no the same condition as when I brought it in. Make and I argued a bit about how I waited till almost the end of the warranty to bring it back. Honestly I had been busy with travel and work so it was not on the top of my list. When I did bring it back he was off putting and called it trash and why they don't sell invicta. Fine you don't like the brand, then you shouldn't offer to repair it. After he did take it back to have it replaced with the correct crystal- after two months of waiting for it- it came back looked ok- but the minute it came in from the cold outside fogged up on the inside. Obviously moisture was present from either when the watch was opened or poor sealing. We brought it back. I was on a call and my wife went in. The older lady who works there with a very condescending attitude asked who she was and she gave our name and went, oh you. Wow!!! One don't speak to my wife like that and two don't speak to people like that. You are rude. After I was done with my call I went in and came into the conversation where again he kept saying it's trash. It doesn't matter if it is a 350 dollar watch or a 3500 dollar watch. Your customer service and treatment of people should be the same. Our business probably doesn't mean anything to you- but treating people like that, and essentially treating them like they are not as good as you is down right dirty- and honestly speaks to YOUR character. Avoid this business if you want to be treated as an underling. And when we asked for a refund- We don't do that. Rather than losing my temper during the holidays- we chose to speak to the masses. UPDATE: 12/7/24 Since this review I took my watch to another jeweler in Noblesville. They were extremely cordial, they listened to the issue and history, and suggested a starting point to remedy the issue. I pick my watch up today after a week. The moisture is gone and was most likely caused by the previous repair where the fingerprint sized moisture spot allowing moisture into the watch. The company in Noblesville removed the back, let it sit in a sealed state with several moisture drawing towels. Today, no moisture, polished and it looks great. But it was the service that was the difference. I would have expected the original repair jeweler to offer the same- but then again- their attitude sucks- so... good job showing your colors there. read more

Took my watch in to have both batteries replaced. The uv light battery still worked. The warmth hands didn't work. Came back later to get my watch and now the light doesn't work. Told them it worked when I came in. I was told there was nothing they could do about it. So I paid an extra 10 dollars for a battery that didn't work or the person who changed it screwed it up. The absolute worst customer experience. I took my wedding ring to be sized and the quality was terrible. It was blamed on the jeweler having a family ill, being too busy during the holidays, blamed on the original jewelry from southern Indiana, and many other reasons that aren't factual. Regardless I just wanted it fixed after 6 weeks! I spoke to the owner who took no responsibility, had no concern and instilled ZERO confidence they could make this right. As a customer for the past 6-7 years, I'm disappointed and frankly disgusted. I'm so sick over the fact that my beautiful ring has been damaged and altered in way that is obvious to the naked eye. Dropped my Tiffany Ring off to be examined to sell to them. At first when I walked in I said what I was there for and the older woman kind of "scoffed" as if they weren't interested in buying a Tiffany band. She asked if I mind if they kept it and cleaned it up a little and then they would get back to me on an offer, I agreed. I called the next day and they said "No, he hasn't even looked at it yet. We got a holiday shipment in and so we've been busy." The woman I worked with is short, brash and not very friendly. It kind of upset me because they are keeping a piece of my property that is worth a couple thousand dollars... and basically I'm the inconvenience and not a priority. The holiday shipment takes president... it's been 3 days and I haven't heard anything about my ring. Rude and condescending customer service over the phone. My wife called to inquire about possible rare or estate items in their collection. They didn't have any in stock which is certainly understandable. My wife kindly asked if they recommended any other nearby jewelers who are reputable and worth trying. She told me a "pawn shop" in an off-putting tone. I expected more customer service and a polite "I'm not sure" if they really didn't have any recommendations or was confused that were are looking for a high quality piece. I needed to have my wedding bands soldered to my engagement ring and had been putting it off since my husband bought the rings two hours from where we live. I searched "jewelers near me" and found Geist. I figured any jeweler can solder rings. I was told they're usually $50 per ring (I have two bands plus the engagement ring), but they would do it for $100. I suspect this is the normal price. They were very quick and called me to say it was ready within 5 days. When I went in and picked it up, it looked absolutely beautiful, sparkly and perfectly aligned. Later in the day I was looking closer and noticed that there was a tiny diamond missing. It can't even be seen when on my finger because it's on the band of the engagement ring and now essentially hidden by the wedding bands. I almost didn't even tell my husband, but decided to. He took it back in and they did agree to replace without any issue or charge. Again I got it back within a few days. When I went to pick it up, I was running late, so I called and asked that if I got there right at 6 (closing time) could they please have it ready so I could come in and grab. They agreed, of which I am very appreciative. When I called, I said "Siri, call Geist Jewelers." She said "they only have 2 stars; are you sure you want to call?" Siri?! Where were you before?! The ring is fixed now, but I'm pretty sure the replacement diamond is smaller than the original and it's not soldered as well as the first time. UPDATE: It's been ~5 weeks and one of the bands came unsoldered. read more

Paid to have a diamond replaced that had fallen out of ring. Asked them to please check rest of diamonds that they were secure. Received a call that my ring was done at pick up I reviewed my ring making sure to ask that they had checked other diamonds. Geist Jewelers stated that they had checked other diamonds. Less than 48hrs after picking up ring a diamond had fallen out. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY WITH SERVICE. I called and they said "sorry not our fault what happens after it left our store". I went in to have my rings cleaned and to ensure that the diamonds were secure. They offered a free cleaning. I thought I may have to pay for fixing the loose diamond that I pointed out. They kindly took them, cleaned them and "fixed" the diamond. While there, I also purchased a new chain for a pendant I had. The one I purchased didn't fit through my pendant when I tried to put it through. They lady offered to have the jeweler fix it. They didn't charge me except for the chain I purchased which I thought was quite kind and would have brought me back to shop since this was the first time I went to the store. Now fast forward 2 months... the diamond falls out from the ring I had them check that they "fixed". I also noticed my necklace pendant had a sharp edge and became completely separated and I could not wear it and would have to have them "fix" it again. So now I go back to let them know what happened. Well they look astonished and can't find anything on file saying they did anything. I fortunately was able to prove I purchased the necklace and the "kind" lady that helped me before acted as if she didn't know me. We chatted for a while the first time. There was a poor guy that came in before me and was belittled because he only spent $300 on something for his girlfriend and he kept apologizing!?!? Seriously??? Then when he left, she said I though he was going to buy something that was $3000 and kind of rolled her eyes. I just wanted them to fix what they did for me at this point, so I held my tongue. They made me wait for over a half hour! It was so rude and displayed such horrible regard for their "customers". They refused to replace my diamond and blamed it on the gold on my ring cracking. My problem is that I brought it to them 2 months before to fix a loose diamond. Why couldn't they tell that it was cracked then? Did no one look at it closely??? Obviously they didn't and their carelessness caused me to now lose a diamond. They didn't even offer a discount. No I am sorry. Seriously??? No one, out of the 4 employees that were there were kind. I was treated rudely, like a second class citizen and they would be wise not to treat people differently because of what they wear, what age they are, what car they see pull up or what jewelry they have on when they come in.
